Memoirs Of A Metro Girl

The best vegetarian Sunday roast I've ever had a pub. Friendly service. Great views of the river.
This beautiful riverside pub just next to Barnes bridge station. We went here for a Christmas meal and it was the best one so far. I stuck to the traditional dishes beef vellington, sticky toffee pudding and we had a sea bass starter. Good choice of all drinks. Unfortunately we didn't check that you have to preorder if you want to have food from the Christmas menu so do check that. I think it would be delicious. Now looking forward to give this place another visit in the summer to sit outdoors and enjoy the riverviews. All in all a classy, British pub.
I’ve lived in Barnes, on and off, for thirty years or so. For the last twenty, my home has been on White Hart Lane. Much to most taxi drivers’ consternation, this is not the famous White Hart Lane, home of Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club, in Tottenham, north London, but a tiny villagey high street miles from there, on the border between Mortlake and Barnes, in an area nicknamed Little Chelsea, right by the river Thames, in Southwest London, more or less where the yearly Oxford and Cambridge boat race ends.
This place is SO pretty!! We made a pit stop here for drinks and it was a really good experience! We sat outside below the bar and we had a brilliant view of the sunset, in front of the stream. Very peaceful!
Haven't come here for food yet, but will surely come here again.
Also, if you end up spending some time here, you also have planes passing by over you quite closely so it's fun to guess the names and types of planes! Quite entertaining :D
Lovely interior and river views! We ordered the Sunday Roast with beef and Fish and Chips. The beef was tender with the best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever tasted 😋 the only thing is the vegetables with it could be more perfect (edit for reply: the carrots and the mesh was slightly lacking flavors but I love the variety of vegetables :D). Fish and Chips was amazing. Also hygiene of the washroom could be better. Will return!
I just popped in for a few drinks in the evening and it was great - it's a lovely setting on the river and their outdoor space is perfect for when the weather is sunny. It's a 3 min walk to Barnes Bridge station, and so is a great spot to wait for a train if needed...or maybe the one after that if you're enjoying a drink on their decking, balcony or riverfront.
Had Sunday lunch at White Hart today and it was very very good. Roast beef was perfectly cooked with lots of veg and potatoes. Plant burger was delicious. Vegan toast was very tasty. Excellent puddings as well. Great atmosphere and service. Would highly recommend 👍
Went there for Sunday roast and drink
They were packed but we were lucky to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather
Amazing view
The food was good as well
Smashing location by the river honesty incredible. Nice selection of drinks and the burger was solid 6/7.
Staff of but felt a bit sleepy—in all fairness it was a hot day.
WHITE HART BARNES PUB 🛖🍻
Classic British Pub with great atmosphere.
Beautiful interior design and tastefully furnished.
It also has a terrasse with seats outside and benches on the path below overlooking the
River Thames with an idyllic view over to Barnes Bridge.
Definitely a very nice place to spend some time.

Had an amazing weekend lunch birthday party upstairs with incredible views, a gorgeous private room, great food and top quality service! Thank you to the whole incredible White Hart team for making it so special! I’d go back again and again for my events, and it’s also just a great beautiful pub!
I have been there during winter and now been there in summer. This is a terrific pub with great atmosphere and outside seating. Friendly staff and great river views. Not to be missed.
Starters of salt and pepper squid and smoked salmon were delicious. Roast mains were ok but unfortunately arrived tepid. Staff were charming in putting this right but it took quite a time and so the 4th diner (whose food was piping hot) had already finished. However they dealt with it really well and expensed a round of drinks for us all. Friendly helpful staff and a buzzy Sunday afternoon atmosphere. We would come again.
Beautiful British pub, located on the south side of the river. There are outdoor tables on the upstairs terrace and on the ground floor balcony.
Inside there are plenty of tables all around the bar.
Classic English food, from starters to puddings.
As of today you can order using the app on your phone, but be aware that if you make a mistake in the order it will make it a bit hard to cancel or change any item.
Service is quick and professional.
Book in advance if you want to make sure to get a table.
Great evening at the white hart. Enjoyed my steak and ale pie on special and my partners rump steak was cooked to perfection. Service was very friendly but attentive. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic experience at White Hart Barnes Pub! The atmosphere is charming, the service is top-notch, and the view of the river is breathtaking. The food and drinks were exceptional. Can't wait to visit again!
Stopped by for a last minute Sunday roast and given it was a windy day we were able to get a table on the balcony outside - which wasn't bad as they had a blanket (only one though and we were a group of 3) and heating (that needs to be activated by touch every so often).
Food probs are big. My partner loved the chicken roast and the vegetarian mushroom pie was really nice. The pastry was made fresh that day which was a delightful surprise given I've had some appalling vegan pies from other pubs. The view is really nice and the staff were friendly but it'll take a while for them to circle back to you given how busy it gets so just head up to the counter if you need anything. It is recommended to book a table to guarantee seating inside. Apple cider on tap was great too! Would come back 😌
Gorgeous outlook onto river, the service was excellent/friendly and helpful and atmosphere good, the portion sizes were on the stingy side - for the prices. Only 3 pieces of calamari was hardly worth the effort and the pulled lamb was on the lukewarm side, a small bowl of triple cooked chips for £5 and many of them the small crunchy ones that are the end of the batch. Would come again for a drinks and the ambience and view
Staff are very pleasant. Chicken Roast Dinner was amazing but little disappointed in the Veg option- tasty but simply not enough on the plate.
A lovely location. Good atmosphere and definitely worth a visit on a regular basis.
The Burger with chips 🍟 were pretty fantastic.
