Based in West Hampstead on the busy West End Lane this place offers excellent quality Asian food. The portions are quite large and the ambience is pleasant. Recommended in the area
Good indian pan Asian food!! Staff is nice and friendly ! Went with my sister and 8yr old kid and 3year old kid they both enjoyed the food as well all in all a good experience !!! Their panner chilli and schezwan noodle is really good !!!
Fantastic pan-Asian - Indo-Chinese, Thai food. Fresh ingredients. Friendly service. Cool decor.
Great for take aways and reasonable on the wallet
Go big on starters, maybe even skip the mains - the starters are truly delicious, with great variety and strong flavours. I love the pepper chilli lamb (not too hot actually), and the paneer is great too.
The mains seem seriously lacking in flavour and use unnecessarily low quality meat. Ultimately lets the restaurant down.
Service is patchy and they often need reminders for drinks, even on weekday lunchtimes with only a few tables full.
The atmosphere is very buzzy and lively, although this made it a tad too noisy at times to have a conversation. The staff were very friendly, service was quick, and if seated in the right place as we were, you can see all the goings on in the kitchen:.
We shared starters and mains (one each) and chose paneer chilli (indian cottage cheese [their description not mine] with onions, peppers and chilli sauce), spicy papaya salad (papaya, tomatoes, carrots, green beans and peanuts in a thai dressing) and beef salad (pan seared beef with carrots, onions, cucumber, mint and peppers). They were all quite spicy, as the name suggests. The paneer chilli was my favourite as it was the most interesting. The others were also good, and you could really taste the refreshing mint in the beef salad.
Portions are big so I could have stopped there, but since it was already ordered, for main I had a chicken red curry with jasmine rice which was tasty, not too spicy, not too rich.
Toomai is good value (we paid £16 each). A sound addition to the West Hampstead collection of restaurants.
Absolutely amazing.
I had the best Pad Thai with chicken I have ever tried.
Really good sweetcorn and chicken soup as well.
They even make great coffees, we had really good proper Italian style cappuccino, not like the watery stuff they serve in most places in London.
The guy that served us today at around 6pm was really kind and nice and seemed like a lovely person I can't remember his name.
We will come again very shortly.
One of the best Asian restaurants in London. Worth the long journey from Kensington. Nice layout of tables. Friendly staff and exceptional food. Everything from the papaya salad, to the Thai fish and the chicken curry were all delicious. We also got two of the vegan and gluten free desserts. The hot brownie and the mochi. It is hard to beat a place like this where every dish was absolutely scrumptious. Well done to the chef. Highly recommended.

I had a phenomenal experience at Took Took today! The food was incredible, We had the Thai Red Curry & Pad Thai, very tasty. The starters were very tasty aswell, we had the chilli paneer, prawn gyoza & chilli lamb would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. After visiting Thailand twice I can say this restaurant has encapsulated the true authentic flavours of the thai cuisine excellently 🇹🇭🍽️
The service was fantastic and the food was so lovely. Bunny was amazing and gave our friend a gift for her birthday and a free shot. We were treated very well, especially as a big group! Definitely coming back!
I think that the Took Took restaurant in London is a very good place to go. It is not expensive, and the food is delicious. It is a very nice place to eat if you have friends over for dinner or if you want to order take-away. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly.
Shout out to Bunny for a great service. This place is great for indo-chinese cuisine which they do very well. I was taken back to Delhi. Also the tofu Thai red curry was so yum!!! We ordered Manchurian, veg schezwan fried rice and dumplings to share. Must visit for some tasty pan Asian food.
Lovely place! Food is just too good! Staff are very welcoming ☺️ I will definitely go back and highly recommend it
We visited this restaurant last night and had the Thai calamari, the spicy papaya salad, the veg spring rolls, the vegan chicken green curry and a chicken Hakka noodles. And for dessert a banana katsu. The service was prompt and friendly. The salad was described as mildly spicy in the menu but found it to be a bit too spicy that we needed to order more jasmine rice 🍚, the spring rolls were tasty and not oily, the green curry was also very spicy but lovely flavour and the Hakka noodles were nice despite having a bit too many onions. The calamari were crunchy and sweet. Nice banana katsu 🍌.
It's my favourite Asian Restaurant in West Hampstead. The food is delicious, fresh and very tasty. I like the interior design inside
Lots of choices for vegetarian too.
Fantastic experience all around. Ordered delivery two nights ago, and every dish was inventive and delicious. They have tons of options for gluten free and vegan. The curries are my favourite as well as the fried rice. And the gluten free fried veggie balls are to die for. Highly highly recommend. I am ordering it again right now.
UPDATE: I had their pad Thai and was very disappointed. It’s flavourless. Will definitely keep coming back for their curries and fried rices though.
