Really enjoyed my burger at Bukowski.  Patty was a bit small for the bun from a coverage aspect, however it was thick and cooked beautifully, not bloody but not dry and killed twice, burger was still juicy inside.

I had a simple cheeseburger and the ingredients went really well together, the bun was nice even though I think brioche buns are overused at burger joints.  Loved the pickles and mustard, melded really well with the meat and cheese (which was melted really well onto the patty).  Flavour in the patty is intense... must be from the charcoal grill.

With a better bun choice they could have a real winner on their hands.

Bukowski Grill's website claims that their "Josper grill" can cook burgers in record time – and to be fair the Purist burgers did arrive pretty quickly. Evidently the chef was having a better time of it than the waitress. However, their promise of sealing in the flavours wasn't so evident. It was a decent burger, but nothing I could even really string a sentence together about. It wasn't as rare as I'd like, the bun was toasted an slightly dry, and the toppings more important to the appearance than the taste. But the chips. God help me the chips. They were a goddamn joy. Fat as Lisa Riley and triple cooked in beef dripping. Its probably the only restaurant in the world where you could drunkenly order a plate of chips and not feel guilty, cheated and disappointed when they arrive. They were a lovely meal in themselves, especially with the homemade peppery mayo which was a lovely touch.

Bukowski Grill has a couple of branches, one in Brixton Village, which I need to pay another visit again soon, and the other is in hipster Shoreditch in the ever so trendy and quirky Boxpark, the pop-up mall behind Shoreditch station with dubious fashion shops and some ok and not so ok food outlets. Bukowski Grill or Charcoal-Grill as they call themselves, serving up classic burgers

Bukowski Grill is found in Shoreditch and Brixton offering up charcoal grilled burgers! New to London, we are discovering where to find somewhere that offers originality and a product thats great value for money. We came across box park in Shoreditch, where all the eateries and stalls are in shipping containers.
We actually chose to eat here because the smell coming from the kitchen was just alluring. The menu isn’t long, which tbh is a good thing because it means what they produce should be made really well with little faults. Because I only eat free-range chicken I went with the chicken burger, as I found its rare to find free-range chicken on the places I have visited so far in London. If you order a beef burger, they ask how you want it cooked! MR is the way to go and all served on brioche buns.

If you are a feign for hot chips – these are the ones you want to try. Thrice cooked chips! They were amazing. I have nothing to fault with them. They were so cripsy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside, and chunky. – Dream fries right there. Bukowski all serve free homemade condiments which actually makes a difference to eating your generic bottled sauces. The service was efficient and quick, but it was a week night and quite quiet, so can’t guarantee the same service on the weekend. I highly recommend Bukowski if your craving that burger and fries that won’t disappoint.

Oh what a joy to behold a restaurant that makes an effort to put more in the veggie burgers than cheese and lettuce. 'The Vegetarian' burger was a real treat to have after work, and even though it's worth £6.50 with no sides, it's well worth the go anyway.

It's right next door to Shoreditch High Street station with lovely staff and even the unique wooden cutlery is cute. This a perfect place to grab a bite. Just make sure to get there before or after rush hour to get a table inside to shelter you from the cold!

If you want a real beast of a burger with some mouth-watering chips, then Bukowski is the place to go!

Located in the cool and buzzing area of Shoreditch, Bukowski fits in perfectly. Dimmed lighting, wooden booths and beautiful art gives the restaurant real character.

I ordered 'The Fat Gringo' and it was towering and delicious. The triple cooked chips taste like heaven: they are finished in Beef dripping, which is a huge win for meat eaters as it compliments the burgers so well! The home-made condiments are also the perfect accompaniment to your meal. Bukowski truly serve up the type of food that makes you let out an 'Mmmm' at every bite!

The food and service are both so charming that I will definitely be going back!

I had the veggie option. It was a great burger! At £6.50 it was quite small, but as the quality was good I think the prices are reasonable.

The service was excellent! There are seats outside and inside. The athmosphere was great. If you like burgers I would give this place a try

If you are looking for an amazing burger I would definitely recommend Bukowski as in my opinion it is Burger Heaven.

Located in Box Park there is limited seating inside but on either side of the complex there are outdoor benches where you can enjoy your food if the weather is nice.  The last time that I went I ordered a Fat Gringo which comes with bacon, cheese, jalapeno mustard plus the normal salad that you find on a burger. If you like your burger with a bit of a kick then definitely try this one and make sure you order a drink alongside it. As always with a burger I ordered a portion of chips and it was all served quickly and the food was piping hot.

Service was pretty quick so not a lot of chat from the staff but it didn't impact the dinning experience.

If you find yourself on Shoreditch High Street, the line of black shipping containers turned into a pop up mall won't miss your attention. If you're craving a burger then head straight up the flight of stairs and into Bukowski Grill, a burger joint with minimal rustic furnishing that sits well with the whole stripped down (though hip) mall atmosphere. A few benches and hanging shades, a single chef and server doing the burger grilling and flipping, you might as well be in a slightly pimped up American street diner. A new month brings you a new burger and for me, that was 'The Wise Guy' burger. A moist, juicy, beef patty topped with smoked mozzarella, sense coppa and balsamic onions with mayo, lettuce and tomato served with a toasted brioche bun. Mind blowingly delicious right up till that last bite you shove into that meat craving mouth of yours. With other quirkily named burgers such as the 'Mother F Burger' and 'The Fat Gringo' and great thick cut (triple cooked and fried in beef dripping) chips, you know you want to be seen and heard here.

Absolutely fantastic. One of the best burgers I've had, cooked wonderfully and completely delicious. The triple cooked chips were superb. We were lucking enough to get a seat indoors as it was very chilly outside, simple but quite cosy interior. Can't say enough good things about this place, we'll definitely be visiting it again when we're anywhere nearby.

We went here for weekday lunch and we got their £6.50 pulled pork burger. It's a bit small but it was really delicious and juicy. If you're a fan of pulled pork and you're in the area for a quick bite in the sun, this is the place to go!

Probably the best burger I´ve had in London so far. The meat was well cooked and tasted delicious. They also have really good chips and sauces. Great plan for a sunny day in Shoreditch BoxPark. I would rate it 5 starts if it wasn´t for the staff and the customer service. Not only we had to wait 40 minutes for our food, but the waiter was also quite rude and seemed very stressed.

Ordering fries was both a bad and good choice. Burger bars that serve epic-sized sandwiches need no sides, but the triple-cooked chunky-cut chips were worth it. The Fat Gringo burger – an enormous beef burger filled with candied bacon, sliced pickle, red onions, spicy jalapeño mustard sauce and Monterey Jack cheese – should have taken longer to eat. This wasn't due to size, but by hungry I was watching others ordering other versions of burger. There's also a good serving of drinks, making Bukowski Grill an amazing summer dine-out spot – though due to its minimal inside seating, a little harder to enjoy when the rain comes.

Eating here is quite weather-dependent (the tiny shack only seats maybe six but there are plentiful benches outside on the top deck) but worth it - my Fat Gringo burger was a delicious if politically incorrect juicy beef patty, cheese, candied bacon, smoked pickle, oozing with juice. Portions are huge so don't order any sides unless you're starving!

Triple cooked chips in beef dripping? Check! Over-the-top double patty burger with all the timmings? Check! A taste as big as it looks? Check! An excellent little pop up with some neat little touches to classic burgers and chips, perfect for a sit down or takeaway. Only a stone's throw from Shoreditch overground station, so a good stop on a Friday night before hitting the clubs, take advantage of the sun and bring some friends for this one.

Very good burgers and amazing chips, add a craft beer and its pretty much the perfect meal. Now has a more varied menu with chicken, pulled pork etc. there some indoor seating thats dinereqsue, plus LOTS of seats on the balcony area - with cover from the rain/sun.
