First, thank you Zomato for inviting me to try this place out. As many of the other reviews have said, it's a cute date to do go once... but not again. I went on a Thursday night when they have their magic show. The host was very funny, the acts were pretty original, and I only figured one of the tricks while I watched. All of the staff were nice, as well, and unobtrusive as they brought and cleared food during the show.

The place was a bit cramped as it's in the basement of their restaurant, Layalina. Still, the ambiance was elegant and comfortable.

The food was good, not great. I ordered the chicken for the main dish, which I definitely recommend, and the cocktails were good.

The evening is more about the experience and less about the food. For a one-off, it may be worth a shot depending on your type of humor.

Thanks Zomato for inviting me.

It was a voucher out of the blue, that my girlfriend and I had to try out this establishment.

Establishment -
The place itself is somewhat hard to find. It's the door just next to Shisha place.
A little cramped inside, there's a place for maybe 40 patrons on the main room. But after all this is a Burlesque place on a basement.
The ambiance and lighting make it a very intimate and personal experience.

Food-
It's so very basic. The choice is limited between Starters/Main/Dessert with no more than 10 different dishes.
The food itself looks like basic dishes from a cooking class.
I had the Halloumi cheese, the chicken and a apple pie. Unremarkable stuff.
Drinks, not a large choice of wines, however, as this is a Burlesque place, the cocktails are the main focus. The Champagne cocktail was pretty good

However, leaving aside the food for now, the main show is what you should be going there for.
It is certainly entertaining and might be good to go back with some friends, despite the cost.
A couple of Burlesque dancers, a very good belly dancer and the host is a stand up comedian.

Despite the rating, I beleive it is a good place to go as a one-off.

I have to say thanks for the previous reviews which helped me manage my expectations. I was fearing I could have a disappointment but that didn't happen.
Same as previous comments, I actually missed the door first time. If you come from the main road it will be a little door just before the Lebanese restaurant (nr 2). The lounge itself looks pretty nice and the service was friendly throughout. We were guided to a cosy room - which I knew it wasn't the main one and we got a front table. Again having read the previous reviews I was concerned we would miss the show, but after a while I was like: you know what? I'll enjoy it whatever comes.
I started with the Lebanese wine - because I had seen good reviews and because I had never tried one. I had white (to match my main) and he had the red. Both quite nice.
I went for the Manakish Cheese as a starter, which was way more filling that I was expecting. It's pretty nice actually. Then I went for the salmon with pasta. I would prefer some vegetables with the salmon but nevermind. The salmon was creamy and tasty but not unbelievably good. For the dessert I went for the Baklawas - which I found to be too sweet for me (and I couldn't eat any more at this stage, was feeling too full). The champagne at the end of the meal was also quite nice.
Because I went on a Friday evening, the show was Burlesque. It started at 21h with a comedian which was pretty entertaining and engaging the whole night. As for the Burlesque itself, we had 4 acts (first with the 2 ladies, then one act individually and duet again). It was nice for someone who has never seen it before, but didn't felt that extraordinary either. As a plus we also had an international belly dancer. She was pretty good.
Price wise, the menu is £30 and includes 1 glass of champagne, the show itself is £25 per person. Any drinks will be extra. Also be mindful that there is an additional 12.5% service charge, so it's not cheap!
So overall it was quite an entertaining night. Would not be back for the food, but as some of you said, it's a one-off event and it's a recommended experience. And yes, if you don't want to be engaged avoid the front tables. Normally we don't like to be engaged, we were but it turned out to be quite good fun.
Thanks to Zomato for inviting me

Privee has very discreet signage, we actually walked past it and then had to turn around and head back. Luckily a waiter was coming out just as we walked past, who confirmed we were in the right place.

We headed down to the basement club, which is pretty warm, dress lightly or you may end up hot and bothered even before the burlesque starts!

We got there for 8pm and the show starts at 9, so we could eat first. There is a set cabaret menu (£30) with two choices per course.

You get some dips, salted popcorn and toasted flatbread to start. The dip was good but sadly the flatbread tasted a little stale.

We both chose the beef salad with pomegranate molassess for starters. The beef was nice and tender but I found the dressing on the salad to be quite sharp, I’d prefer it if they put it in a pot on the side so you could add as much or little as you want.

We also both chose the salmon with pasta for our main. This was actually surprisingly good, I have been to venues that do dinner and a show and the food can sometimes play second fiddle to the show. My salmon was perfectly cooked and there were different creamy sauces to accompany the fish and the pasta, they hadn’t just used the same one for both. However there was a bit of a snafu surrounding our main course, first they brought out dessert right after our starters then after explaining that we hadn’t got our mains they brought chicken when J had ordered salmon. This happened twice, we sent back 2 chickens! Finally after we spoke to Emmanuel, the manager, they brought the correct dish. By this point I’d basically eaten mine as it was going cold.

Then the show started, beware people sitting close to the stage you are going to get involved! The burlesque wasn’t quite my cup of tea but ladies, if you’re feeling bad about your wobbly bits, this will definitely make you feel better, Because whilst the ladies in the show are undeniably attractive they have them too. It makes you realise just how rarely you see normal women’s bodies as opposed to airbrushed perfection in the magazines. I also really liked the MC who was very funny and did great magic tricks.

We finished up with a champagne cocktail and dessert, baklava and an apple pie.

Privee is an interesting night out, maybe one to consider for your next date night if you want to do something different, you’ll certainly have lots to talk about after!

If your a woman and think Burlesque is just for men then you have been under false impression and should definitely not miss this place! Went for an all girls outing with my friends last week with my friends and had a marvelous time. To begin with service is welcoming, attentive and amicable. The cocktails and food were both a delight and super tasty!

We have been to Layalina three times now, once before lockdown and twice after. Food is always fresh and delicious; an excellent choice will offer something for everyone. Service is consistently attentive without being intrusive; very friendly and well-informed staff! The restaurant is well-set up in line with Covid rules; in spite of these measures the place still feels cosy and has a lovely atmosphere. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Please visit.

So entertaining! It's small and intimate which makes it much more fun than the big burlesque clubs. Amazing value for money. The food was pretty good but not a reason for going. The air con was also welcome in the heatwave. Staff were all very friendly. Great place to visit, especially when celebrating with a group.

Hi, I visited so many lebanese restaurants so far this is the best one I have been. Such a nice and modern place with a lot of variety of food and drinks, We tried Hummus, Labneh with tabbouleh 🥗 and Shish taouk wrap with wedges. The food and the service definitely 5*. They are few reviews who are not good on this page but I definitely say that they do not know what is a good taste. You should definitely visit this one. Thank you guys for the service. Kind regards Cristian

Awesome find. Found initially via #TripAdvisor and booked through #opentable. Great atmosphere, good food, not Michelin but tasty and well done. Great Burlesque show to add for the price. Thoroughly recommended
