Reviews Sir Colin Campbell

Kilburn is as yet ungentrified - and as such, the customer base is still proliferated with the traditional hard core Irish, the Londoner of a particular age and mind set, as well as the young and upwardly mobile. Like with London itself, the mix here really works. Offering an untrammelled selection of gin, ales and bottled beers, this exceptionally warm and friendly old style British pub oozes warmth and charm.
It is divided into two sections: one with low seating - the other where the punter can sit at a high table and there are bar stools (with sensible attendant coat hooks) around the bar itself. The bar is well staffed and they do well to negotiate a tiny space to an often packed crowd. The food is tremendous, with the staples of Brit Cuisine on offer, well presented in nouveau style but without the customer feeling compromised in the seemingly endless pub chain practice of portion control. The Sunday Roasts are divine - and it is wise to choose this delightful gem against the less charming, more expensive and better known Black Lion or North London Tavern.
There are music and quiz nights: Kilburn is massive in terms of still bringing home the live music bacon, even in a city where this essential ingredient to the city hubris is in danger of extinction. Note the steady erosion of Denmark Street. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at the Colin are for the fans of traditional Irish music, and Monday night is acoustic Open Mic night, where up and coming can flex their muscle. Rare is it now that a bar can be free of Sky Sport, let alone offer this much in a limited space. Check it out. A vital slice of proof that a disappearing London is still alive and often kicking somehow, somewhere to an appreciative crowd.

Its one of those pubs, you just have to go back & back again, if you enjoy your guinness , The sir Colin is the place to be, Relaxing surroundings, super staff always there to help you with your dining requirements or just to pour your favourite tippel, also on Saturday evenings they have Irish live music, really good they are too, So why not get a move on & come into Kilburns own , The Sir Colin Campbell, You will never regret it.

I came here to join the Irish music session on a Sunday evening. The musicians were very welcoming and friendly and the the music was brilliant. The beer was good too.

Nice little pub. Only popped in for a quick drink as my friend was delayed on overground. A 5 min stroll from Brondesbury station this small, intimate, little place has a HUGE selection of bottled and canned craft beers, a real gem of a find. The pub has two sections, not sure which on I was in but it was fairly quiet and the staff member was friendly and efficiently dealing with customers on both halfs. Would definitely return when I'm back in the area. Looks like it might be lively of an evening if the advertised drinks promotions were anything to go by!

Had food from Tata Eatery’s pop-up and the dishes were amazingly good and original in terms of flavour (mix of japanese and portuguese!). The chefs also work as the waiters which is cool. However one member of the team was sick meaning the service was a bit slower than usual. Still good altogether though!

Will be visiting the acoustic nights and traditional Irish music nights. Just has to be done and shared...the guest ale here is to die for and there is the Sunday lunch yet to sample....to simply describe as an Irish pub does not do this bar justice.

A very small pub but very comfortable, it’s very cosy with a nice room upstairs available the bar is split into two literally with two entrances and there’s a small but comfortable beer garden. The drinks are varied did red wine write a number of ales beers and ciders so you’re likely to find what you like. The staff are good talkative and welcoming.

Very different now from the pub of yesteryear. Delicious, unusual menu, vast gin selection, brilliant craft beers. It's tiny but worth a visit

This is one of my favourite bars. It's a little rough around the edges, but in the most charming way. Me and my girl go here every weekend that we can. The staff are lovely and the Irish music that runs on Saturday and Sunday is superb. Not much that beats a few well poured Guinness and some live Irish music!

Can't recommend this place enough. We stumbled upon it by accident but we're so glad we did. It's incredibly cozy in there, they have a great selection of drinks (especially gins!) and the staff member who served us did an outstanding job, we both felt very welcome and taken care of. A bit of a bonus is that as opposed to most "Irish pubs", Irish people do actually frequent this place and are more than happy to have a conversation about just about anything. Incredibly friendly folk, just a great experience overall.
