Good place for breakfast or snacks
Bundling up to the Fifth Floor Cafe at Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, I was somewhat apprehensive. Afternoon Tea involves cakes in my book. And cakes involve chocolate, cream and lots of sweet and sugary treats. But I was also a little intrigued so I checked out the ethos behind Sarah Wilson’s ‘I quit sugar’ books. This tea is a collaboration between Sarah and Harvey Nichols designed to coincide with the launch of The I Quit Sugar Kids Cookbook and the I Quit Sugar Slow cooker cookbook. The basic principle seems to be that one type of sugar, fructose, is the main enemy. And that any sugars which contain a high level of fructose are evil. That includes normal table sugar, honey, agave and some of the sugar types I thought were relatively ok together with anything more than a small portion of fruit. So, most of Sarah’s recipes are created using brown rice malt syrup or stevia.
Fantastic fish n chips at times you may need to wait to get a seat always a good sign !
I ordered the fish n chips and my partner orders a club sandwhich ( Salmon ) both were great without any complains.
The fish was not oily and the batter was perfect the fries is your steak fries ( Chunky Fries ).
The dessert although was a let down I did not like the tiramisu.

One of the things I missed most when living as an expat in Baku, Azerbaijan for two years until recently, was the opportunity to meet my daughter for one of our habitual little girly lunches in town. My daughter and I are as close as any mother and her girl can be, very much on one wave length and goodness, the conversation, gossip and general chit chat never ever seems to run out. I guess that’s the reward for having pretty much brought her and her equally delightful big brother up by myself. All those endless times of nappy changing, swing pushing, toy box tidying, story telling, biscuit baking, vomit mopping, treasure hunting, Playmobil building, pep talking, broken heart mending, all the toddler tantrums and sleep wrecking teenage sleepovers, all the worrying and chauffeuring and maths problem solving, is finally paying off. Both my children are now adults, pursuing impressive careers, married, mortgaged and my pride and joy as they have always been, every day of their lives.
A hidden gem on the rooftops over Knightsbridge. Unlike most rooftop bars in central London, the Fifth Floor Cafe is a little known locale with minimal traffic. You can always get a seat here and enjoy fairly reasonable drinks. Bottle of prosecco Di valdobbiandene for £32.5.
The rooftop bar features green 'turf', round black tables and chairs, well spaced so you aren't on top of the other guests.
Went shopping in Harvey Nicholas and stumbled across this really lovely and open restaurant at the top. We weren’t looking to eat too much and this place had really tasty food. Wish I was a bit hungrier so I could have ordered more!!!
We had the Greek Style watermelon salad, Marinated lamb, beetroot and feta on sourdough, Chicken Caesar Salad and Fish and Chips.
It was really tasty, I absolutely loved the starter with beetroot and feta, the feta made it taste so creamy I could eat it again and again. I was really craving a Caesar salad and this salad was just perfect. Perfect crisp on the Parma ham and the chicken was really juicy and soft.
Thanks to our waiter for serving us! And to the chefs who put out a great meal. Would definitely come again.
Lovely afternoon tea had here out on the terrace. The terrace is set out nicely and we had a table right by the edge allowing us to have a nice view whilst we tucked into bitesize cakes and endless cups of tea.
I recently had lunch at this restaurant and it was a delightful experience. The seasonal fish was simply amazing - cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was top-notch too - the staff were accommodating and didn't mind when I requested to move to a different table. Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and excellent service.
It's worth making the effort to spend a bit of time outside in their rooftop seating area if you're in the area on a nice day. We enjoyed brunch, the service was good, as you would expect at this venue and paying for food in this price bracket. The food was very good and most of all we didn't feel rushed, so we got to enjoy a well deserved respite from London shopping!
Enjoyable place for outdoor cocktails. What stood out the most was the service. Everyone was very kind and attentive and had smiles on their faces! We only ordered the satay and while tasty, it was dry. The cocktails are delicious and reasonable in price, while the venue is cool with a retractable awning and beautiful photography on the walls.
Harvey Nichols terrace cafe is a very elegant place for shoppers break , everything we tried was done in perfection, service was good and food allergies awareness is taken seriously, the freshness of food served for breakfast is up to the top level, highly recommended .
I will certainly go back.
We absolutely loved visiting here for brunch after some shopping. They serve brunch until quite late, so we were happy to have a fairly reasonable portion size too.
I had a cocktail to celebrate and it was beautifully made. The hollandaise sauce was amazing and the eggs were very nicely done, no running white but perfectly cooked deep orange yolk.
The bread was good but I've had better, but still tasty!
We sat outside and enjoyed it during the autumn. Although it is mostly covered, some tables aren't sheltered from the rain but this didn't bother us with a very light spatter of rain for a few minutes.
We spent just over £50 for two of us but both feel it was thoroughly worth the money and somewhat comparable to larger chains like Bill's for brunch.
The best best cafe in London the place is amazing and the food so delicious
One of the best Croissant I ever had. Service is top class, and it's always a pleasure to have breakfast/brunch at HN.
One of the best spots for an afternoon cocktail or three to break up shopping. Nibbles are delicious and sitting on the terrace or inside is wonderful! Well worth a stop off
Lovely meal and service but when we received our bill there was a charity donation put on the bill which we did not mind but service charge is put on after ...the donation should go on after the service has been charged as the restaurant are making from charity donation , !
Great coffee and an amazing place to hide away from the crowds. Simon’s service is impeccable.
