Great place by the river, attentive service - the best mussels I've had in a long time - thoroughly recommend it
Popped here for breakfast and weren't disappointed. Fresh pastry's, tasty toast and a fabulous cuppa. The granola and natural yoghurt were tasty too. The four of us really enjoyed our breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be back.
This place is amasing good food, beautiful place and friendly staff ,love this place 👍😘😘
I was there today with a friend, and it was so busy. We both ordered, my friend got her order and I got a wrong one. Since I waited for a long time until they exchanged it, they did not charge me and apologized for the wait. The food was delicious, very professional and considerate staff. I did not even complain about all of this, and yet they made it up. I definitely recommend it and I will surely come again. :D
I love this place! The location is perfect, the food is better & the staff are always welcoming & accommodating - can't praise this place highly enough. Shame we didn't get the same service at the oxo tower!
Food was absolutely sublime. Many thanks to all the staff who accommodated us - Tahar the manager, Craig, Mihai and Chelo our waiters - thank you for the amazing meal. Can't wait to return xxxx
We had a wonderful lunch here, the food was excellent prawns, mussels and a really good salad. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and to top it off we watched the fly past for the queens birthday which made it one of our most memorable lunches ever.
Thank you to Chello and Tatiana for making our lunch yesterday a very enjoyable experience, Good food , lovely setting and friendliest of staff
This is our 2nd visit and definatly return
Cant fault a thing with our visit food was fast and cooked perfectly both the lady who greeted us and both staff who brought food and cleared were polite will definitely go again
Nice compact small pub themed restaurant which serves up beers and pub food. The food is good but a bit expensive. Overall nice to sit in the balcony and have a look at the river and the glorious skyline on a summer day.
Went here for breakfast this morning. Almost went to Giraffe but decided to go a little further.
So worth it.
We asked for the full English breakfast but requested that they change the non vegetarian part for a croissant.
They did it, no fuss. :)
I had a mushroom omelette and they were so generous with the mushrooms! Love it. :)
Cappuccino and Americano, all for 21 bucks.
Great service, nice view. Overall good meal. Happy tummy.
Situated in a converted boat house at Gabriel’s Wharf, one of The Wharf restaurant’s finest assets is its view over the River Thames towards St. Paul’s Cathedral and the changing skyline of East London. Part of The Pizza Express group, The Wharf is positioned as a seafood restaurant and has a more independent feel than its high street relations.
We all order a seared tuna steak salad @ £15.95, comprising a free range egg, capers, olives, mixed leaf salad, fine green beans, new potatoes, tomatoes and dressing and a chargrilled, seared tuna steak – a really good mix of ingredients and flavours.
The verdict: Nice and easy, no fuss restaurant with straight-talking food.
This place is much more than a nice restaurant. Great food especially whole fish is always fresh and great. And it is even tastier with rocket salad. Go as soon as possible!
Exceptional food, poor service. Waitress seemed to be annoyed with our arrival even though it was early and slow. Argued with us over menu items. She was slow to check in. We had to stand up to request another bottle of soda. Steak was superb. Would return to eat again but hopeful for a different server.
Lovely salads for a pre-theatre lunch. Attentive waitress ... only gripe ... we were left waiting to be seated for a couple of minutes because they assumed we were a large party of people who had just finished eating. Otherwise, we received good drinks recommendations and the staff were fun, professional and attentive.
Very nice atmosphere, very elegant restaurant , beyond any expectations. The place has a great position and panorama . The food is excellent and many very good wines are in the menu. Nice and friendly staff is providing an excellent service. The place is small and cosy but for a dinner with too many friends is not a good option.
We sat outside at this restaurant on the upper floor and had a view of the Thames and watched people go by. The staff are friendly, we ordered the mussels to start which we shared and then. The oven cook fish. This was lovely and the fish was meaty. If you don't mind bones then give this a a try
Just popped in to grab a bit to eat, had the house burger and chips, very good and not to expensive considering the location. Great views of the Thames and all the fab building around. Very polite people, service was very good and did not have to wait long for food and that's always a good thing.
Great ambience and good food. Gets crowded on Fridays but one does eventually get seated.
On my graduation I promised I’d try the riverside Fish and Chips. It’s exceeded my expectations. The first time I tried mushy peas, and I felt upset that all this what I missed out on. Anyways, I highly recommend to all the tourist, and residents. Tasty, well cooked and presentable. Overall, delicious.
Fantastic service and lovely food. Was very busy...Saturday night....15 minute wait for a table but we hadn't booked. So glad we went there. King prawns a must have.
Stunning flavours, views, service and atmosphere! Beautiful place
This is my favourite place in London. Anytime I am in the city one of stops is the Wharf for fish and chips.
This was the first time I visited the wharf, I booked a dinner for 3 ( my husband’s birthday) it was a last minute impromptu plan based on a recommendation from a friend. The ambiance was lovely, food was top notch, more importantly the service was impeccable; Jovi who was our waiter was so attentive, he brought a little dessert saying happy birthday, which I thought was a great touch :) i would recommend The wharf - our experience was amazing!
Great food and situated right by the Themes and a little walk down from London eye.
One of my girlfriend's favorite restaurants in London and with great views of the Thames, especially from the first floor and the balcony in the summer! We ordered the fish of the day and the mussels and both were incredible. The waitress informed us that the order would take around 25 minutes because everything is cooked from fresh, but it was definitely worth the wait. Everything tasted great and was presented beautifully. The service was pretty good, not great hence the 4, and not 5 stars. We did have to ask for the bill twice afterall! It might sound silly, but it's the little that make it! Definitely recommend the mini desserts with coffee. Reasonably priced. We paid just under £70 for olives, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine.
My family and I had a lovely meal here last night. I had the Tuna salad. The tuna was a decent size and well cooked. Delicious! Not too pricey considering the location. Service was good and staff friendly. Would recommend.
My friend had to return her overdone tuna but my hallumi burger was good. Nice view from the terrace.
