I've just had a strawberry ice cream & JimJams hazelnut chocolate spread waffle and chocolate vanilla fresh cream & Cadburys Flake smoothie at The Crêpe Shop in Whitechapel, East London. It was heavenly. I can't recommend it more. The service was superb & the quality of their food is amazing. That smoothie really took my breath away. All great value for money as well. I will be back again soon.

The Crepe Shop, it's a cool little place not to far from the station. Unlike many other café and dessert bars this place feels more rustic, more arty. Sometimes the overused bright neons and black interiors are too much and it's nice to see a place try something different for a change. It's much more inviting, more akin to the relaxed nature we tend to see around Shoreditch.

It helps that the guys running the shop are also super friendly and seem to value customer interaction.

Even better is that the desserts are also decent. Who can resist the lure of delicious Cannoli and well made waffles.

Cannolis
I do have a serious Cannoli addiction, if I see them I must buy them. I spotted these little mini Cannolis on the counter of The Crepe Shop and the urge was too tough to resist. They come in three flavours; Chocolate, Pistachio and Lemon. All were awesome but the lemon was the stand out by far.

Waffles
Saving the best till last. The epic 'Sister Waffle' at The Crepe shop.
Kinder Buenos, chocolate sauce and ice cream all stacked up on a huge well baked waffle. Some waffles can feel hollow inside and make you feel a bit crap after. These however were just right. Fluffy but with crunch and just the right size and a good amount of topping.

If you're ever in Whitechapel I recommend you take a short detour to this place over the other more 'chain' style places. You won't regret it.

Where once Whitechapel was essentially a bit of a black hole for food (unless you fancied an amazing curry that is), now little places are starting to spring up here there and everywhere, one that’s been around since the start of this year but which I hadn’t quite made it to is The Crepe Shop. I found out about it, conveniently around Pancake Day but rather than cheat and have someone make me a pancake, I chose the fun of tossing my own at home. However, I put the Crepe Shop on my list of places I could nip into for food after work if I really couldn’t be bothered to cook anything.

A while ago I was further encouraged to try it out when they had a deal through Groupon which offered two hot drinks or milkshakes and two crepes for less than their retail price (I think it was something like £9 instead of £16). So I bought one and kept it in my bag for one day when I finished work later than usual and was ravenous. So meeting my boyfriend we decided to put the voucher to good use.

The inside is all decked out in wood and has a rustic feel (where doesn't in East London now?) and has chalkboards with menu and drinks options on.

We settled ourselves at our table and perused the relatively short menu As you might have guessed, it's mostly crepes (although they also do soups). Rather than hot drinks, we went with milkshakes (both strawberry). They were nice, although I could have done without the cheap squirty cream and ice cream sauce on top.

There is a selection of sweet and savoury crepes on the menu and as it was dinner, we chose savoury ones. My boyfriend went with smoked salmon, lemon, black pepper, spring onions and tartar sauce, which he wasn't too keen on, but it was the savoury crepe concept he wasn't crazy about, individually each component was nice.

I chose the chicken, cheese and guacamole crepe, which following my experiments with savoury pancakes on pancake day, I was hoping would be good. It definitely was. It's definitely a light bite rather than a meal and I felt like I needed another to fill me properly at dinner, but it's a great stop gap or snack if you aren't too hungry.

After we'd finished our crepes we had a quick nosy downstairs where they have an art gallery which runs a variety of different small exhibitions, before heading home.

The Crepe Shop is on the same street as Tayyabs (for those of you who know Whitechapel only by reference to it's most famous curry restaurant). So, if you can still manage to eat after your fill of dry meat, a sweet crepe may be the perfect dessert.

There is a option whether you want to have sweet or savoury crepes . We had to chose savoury ones because my boyfriend is a fan of this category.
He had smoked salmon, black pepper ,lemon , spring onion with tartar sauce . There was nothing special about the food but yeah it was nice.

Great day out with the girls very family friendly place. Kids loved making their own art on the chalk boards, enjoyed viewing the art in the basement of cartoon characters by local artist. Even the food was fantastically artistic and filling and yummy! the classic milkshakes took me back to my childhood simply beautiful enjoyed it sooo much! Most importantly for us girls the toilets were clean! {even a jug for istinja}

We found this Crêpe Shop on our way to Tayyabs in Fieldgate street. The group of us order several Crêpes both sweet and savoury. The crêpes were full of fresh ingredients and tasted great. The coffee was the best I have had in a long time, my Latte was presented with art on the foam. Very nice touch!

This is a hidden gem. A fantastic little Creperie and art gallery in the middle of Whitechapel. The Crêpe Shop is very much in touch with the local community offering local artist subsidised gallery space hire and holding charity events. The look and feel in something you expect to find in Portobello Road Market not in Whitechapel. The coffee it self is worth dropping in for.

Stopped in for dessert after dinner and so glad I did! The staff were really friendly and attentive, we tried their home made tea, which was delicious, and both had sweet crepes. We will definitely be coming back again! Cute shop, excited to try their date ice cream!

Recently re-opened under new owners; great little spot off the main raod in Whitechapel. Crepes are good and they even have a south Asian-style twist on some of them. They have sweet as well as svoury crêpes and bagel sandwiches as well.

First time visit here. Guys who served us were helpful and friendly. Place had a nice atmosphere about it and is pleasently decorated. Crepes (savoury)were light and well cooked and fillings were fresh. Friend had a cappuccino and said it was VERY good. Will def return to try the sweet crepes next time.

I visited this place since the very beginning of it being opened. It was a great place then, and still is a great place! I’ve always been a big fan of crepes, but there really isn’t many places in London that does a good crepe. If you are looking for a good “Crepe shop” then look no further. This is the spot!

Fantastic little Creperie! Me and my wife popped by for a light lunch. I have to say it was very tasty. I had the late breakfast. This was with Turkey Ham, Egg and Cheese. My wife went for the Smoked Salmon, Spring Onions and Tartare Sauce. We both had a coffee each. Flat White and Cappuccino! Both were presented with Latte Art and tasted great. The customer service was great too. Very polite! We enjoyed the nice little art gallery in the basement. 5* from us and we would definitely go again
