I have to admit that I only go to Battersea Park when they have some kind of fair going on. I’m a regular at the Affordable Art Fair as well as the Decorative Art Fair. The pub I go to for the necessary after-fair drinks is The Mason’s Arm on Battersea Park Road. The pub has a very friendly atmosphere and has a wide range of patrons. Normally the crowd consists of families with children, some older guys reading the paper and groups of friends having a chat. I hate it when you step into a pub and the old geezers at the bar look you up and down. The Mason’s Arm is a lively pub without being noisy and overwhelming … so … clearly not a Weatherspoon’s. The decoration is also very different to some other chain pubs. Lively and colourful with miss-matched furniture and some artwork on the walls. I always approve of places with artwork.
Very pleasant pub and Sunday roast perfectly located for a post lunch stroll in Battersea park. I had a lamb breast in red wine gravy that combined wonderfully with the juicy lamb fat. The other roast options looked similarly delectable - melt in the mouth pork belly and a huge half chicken, sea bass and roast beef. Positive noises around the table said it all - a great Sunday lunch.
I found myself in the area with my friend when we were due to attend an event at Battersea Park and walked to this pub for refuge when the weather turned. There was a surprising lack of pubs in the area and so I wasn't expecting too much, but this place was above and beyond your average London pub - ample seating, warm friendly atmosphere and delicious food were all on offer. We were lucky to walk in when we did, as the place filled up shortly after and the bar queue got lengthy. However, I couldn't think of a better sanctuary on a rainy day, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back!
Handy place for a beer near the tube. Nice service, lots of options for beers and staff were happy to give us a taster before committing to a beer. Chicken burger was juicy and chips were great. Facilities clean. All and all - great spot!
Great authentic British pub. Loved the interior decoration. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We did not love the food, but everything else was great. They have lots of space and tables, accessible toilet with baby changing and high chairs for babies/kids.
Good pub, good service in general. There was a guy behind the bar who was super helpful and friendly. I can't say the same about the girl, she was a bit rude to my friend. We only tried the fries and sweet potato fries, and they were good. Overall, it was a good experience.
The staff here are always friendly and welcoming. my dog loves this place too☺
Went for a Sunday roast with some friends and wasn’t disappointed. Food was excellent, beef was cooked perfectly, and the service was superb.
Always amazing beers in here and was a nice surprise to have food to match it. Will definitely return.
I’ve been in a couple of times since it’s been refurbed and they’ve created a really great pub. Both the food and beer selection is well considered and whether eating or just popping in for a drink the atmosphere is a proper pub - not too posh but not too rowdy. Staff have been helpful and knowledgeable. They’ve created a nice outside space too. A real asset to the local community. Well done guys!
Went to see the power station and popped in here for a swifty. What a lovely place, we had some food here too cos it sounded good. The food was great the service was fantastic and the people there were lovely. I recommend a visit if you're in the area.
Solid pub - nothing special. They have dynamic pricing of drinks which can be tad annoying for regulars I guess.
Our local in Battersea - great pub, friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Dog friendly too. Be back soon.
Back again between Christmas and new year 2022/23. The spare ribs are the best I’ve ever had - and I’ve had a lot over my many years!
Delightful experience all around. Delicious food and a comfortable place to take a break from a busy day with the kids in Battersea. The barman was friendly and chatted with us about food and beer selections and invited us back on the weekend for their kids' activities. The steak and mushroom pie is to die for.
Sharing a lovely guinness with a pal. The place is huge full of space for big groups or couples. Every Sunday there is quiz time so an excuse to enjoy a drink meanwhile you are having a nice time with friends. The waitress are lovely and the food is good, normal pub food but great.
Wonderful pub. Excellent range of beers. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Sunday roast chicken was very good. Apologies but too good to wait for a photo.
