An unexpected delight hidden on Piccadilly. Don't be fooled by it being a wonderful French publishing house, it also sells some very nice pieces of furniture but best of all has a cocktail bar with a small food menu. Great place for afternoon tea and a drink. The staff are all very helpful and friendly.
I've been in this amazing place just once but I was amazed by it at the first glance, very classy and full of culture. At the bar I had a really god hot chocolate, I was served by Chiara a lovely girl who welcomed me with a big simile making me feel at home.
I highly recommend this place for the beautiful design and the lovely stuff!
Tried to get a drink in a busy wine bar in Piccadilly . It was chaos and packed . Then this lovely old lady told us about this place . An historic and beautiful building in the heart of Piccadilly . A book shop that has a quite little bar, in the middle of insanity that is central London shopping

If you like reading and you like cocktails this is the place for you. A small seating area, but if you are lucky to get a table, you will not be disappointed as the surroundings are stunning. Definitely worth a visit.

I love everything about this place. The building, the history, the books, the bar , my cocktail and the friendly bar tender. Such a lovely experience. So relaxing and calm when the world is going mad outside.
Beautiful art books and an exquisite antiques collection upstairs. I'd highly recommend on route to pre Christmas shopping in Piccadilly, relax and leaf through the pages of some of the best interiors whilst sipping a glass of champagne.

Heaven on earth in the heart of London lies a secret behind a wooden door. Alice in wonderland springs to mind. From the floor to the walls to the ceilings...magical and theatrical and very very delectable...
This cafe/bar was a very pleasant surprise and a great place to meet up after work. Loved all the enormous books and quirky decor.

Maison Assouline is nested in an exquisitely beautiful old building and has coffee, cakes, books and art in one place - IT'S A PARADISE! Not sure why I'm writing this review, when I'd rather keep this place all to myself....:D

Really nice place ! The service was really good and loved the atmosphere for my business off work appointment. Makes it really cool place m. However my cocktail was too sweet and didn’t have much taste apart from a really sweet fruit juice I didn’t feel anything else.

Such a loveky quaint bar and the staff are so lovely and friendly. Had a beautiful strong expresso martini which came with bar snacks. My daughter and I loved it and said one of the best expresso martinis we've had. We would defo go back.
Had a wonderful evening here, cocktails (and mocktails) were lovely. Decor is beautiful, lots of interesting books to look at! The waiter surprised us with champagne and cake when he overheard us talking about my friends birthday. Such a lovely touch. It is an expensive place but so nice for a special occasion.
Quirky bar. It's almost like a library set up, with a bar. The drinks were nice, and the ambience and staff was nice. However, it's generally very busy, so best to have a reservation. We went there 2 years ago, they had a cigar smoke infused drink, we were looking forward to that this time but unfortunately that had changed the menu. Would love it, if you bought back the cigar drinks!
Amazing building with large coffee table books to feast your eyes on.
Popped in here for my birthday cocktails with my fella and enjoyed lots of different cocktails at the bar. The mixologist/bar staff were amazing and friendly. They knew their stuff and we enjoyed all the cocktails made.
It was nice to be surprised by the variety of treats and nibbles that came with the drinks. Would definitely like to return again, for bit of food and drinks.
