Had my daughter’s birthday party today upstairs at Victoria Stakes and was a great success - gorgeous room, great food for both kids and adults, lovely service (thanks Josh) and would highly recommend!

Best service we have ever received (and food great too)! Ate here for the first time this evening. When my steak- ordered medium rare- arrived medium well, the waitress, manager and chef were incredibly apologetic and gracious. Insisted on re-doing my husbands food as well so his would come out together with mine and offered drinks on the house. Whilst we were waiting they also presented us with a complimentary starter! When food arrived it was fantastic. Staff was so apologetic we joked that they were close to recreating the Monty Python 'dirty fork' sketch! Would definitely come again!

Absolutely the best pub around the Muswell Hill / Crouch End area. We are so glad it is back in action after the fire. From great food to relaxed atmosphere, you can't go wrong with Victoria Stakes, especially on a Sunday after visiting the Ally Pally Farmer's Market. #PerfectSunday.

The beer is London prices. However it was top quality. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. A throng of metal heads turning up after a Deftones gig at Alexander Palace, didn't put them off their stride either. Seems a great place to take a date out for dinner. Couldn't recommend it more. And thanks for sorting our taxi out: lost Northerners and all that :-)

Whilst having fabulous meal at the Vicky last night I learnt that they make everything (except the bread) from scratch, ice cream, chips (peeled cut and fried 3 times) and sticky toffee pudding. A fine establishment.

Can't fault excellent Sunday traditional lunch. Great service, wonderful tender roast beef and well cooked vegetables. Tables nicely spaced, good selection of beer and wine. Rather decadent desserts, simply enjoyed. Lot of competition locally but coming up as the best.

Sat outside in the courtyard with twinkly lights everywhere snd tea lights etc. Gave the place a lovely glow, very inviting. Heaters too, which helped, as I feel the cold.
We waited awhile for our menus but when we got them, I wss more than pleasantly surprised.
Seeing pheasant on the menu was a welcome surprise and so i ordered that. All game I adore, so was really looking forward to this dish.
We ordered the wine, from a good extensive list.
Food arrived kn good time and ot looked amazing.
It tasted just that, amazing. My pheasant was cooked to perfection. Im a season queen, and I didn't need to add more salt or pepper to my food.
I had no idea what to expect when I came here, and I must say, what a find!
If you get the chance, visit this bar. The beer here is also meant to be good, and the Sunday Lunches.

A sensational Sunday lunch. It isn’t cheap but I think 3 courses with table service for a little under £30 is good value these days if the quality is good, and it was. We were in the yard, the atmosphere is relaxed, if a little chilly. Staff were lovely. Only criticism was they were out of Timothy Taylor ale, a favourite. That said, the wine list is well chosen, serves by the glass for most of the list, and caters for most budgets. We opted for Sunday roasts, I had chicken, and my friends had roast beef and pork and both were happy. My chicken was two breasts, which while lovely I have to admit I would have preferred a half chicken with leg. But that’s a preference, not a complaint. Desserts were excellent.

A great refined drinking experience. A well presented pub with a lot of effort gone in to making the floor look good! It does, and having done it myself, I know how much work went into it. Lovely cheerful service, thank you for my beer! The is an upstairs area booked out for a wedding today. Also a great covered courtyard at the rear with seating for many, a most pleasant place for a beer.

Very Dog friendly, lovely evening meal with a relaxed atmosphere, with has relaxing jazz music playing in the background. Food was delicious and carefully cooked. The menu is limited, however what they have they do very well. Staff were friendly and attentive, even with the dogs! Will visit again and recommended

I walked in on a Sunday afternoon to have a Sunday roast, they were fully booked for the pub area, so I asked if they would have any space at the yard, the waitress told me I was more than welcome to try, and actually when I walked to the yard I much preferred that atmosphere! It was cozy, cute, not too busy, just perfect for a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the beef and pork Roast, and the pork was the winner! We also had a mulled wine and fresh mint tea!

I booked a table for my birthday, for 5, the garden was too hot so we were given a table in the air conditioned dining room, an absolute godsend on a very hot Sunday. The food was superb. 2 courses ordered each, a mix of starters and desserts and all were outstanding. We all had the roast and it’s one of the few in the area that i actually rate. £25 for a main & starter/dessert of this quality is worth a mention, great value for money for food and ambiance of this standard in “TV’s Crouch End” A special mention to the the girl that literally couldn’t do enough for us, even though she was very busy with everyone else. Superb member of staff, alongside the management who got everything sorted with short notice. Cannot recommend enough!

We enjoyed our visit, even though the roast beef was a little disappointing.

Really cool pub! Not a chain either so it's even better to support and shop local. Huge outdoor yard space but a little cold in this weather. Great menu but a little pricey. Service was attentive but a little clumsy. Great place to spend an afternoon on the weekend.

Went to this lovely dining pub for Sunday Roast. They have a set 2-3 course menu on a Sunday. The starters were really nice but I didn’t taste the main as I am vegetarian. They do have a vegetarian nut roast on the menu though. It is a little bit pricey for what it is, but I would highly recommend because of the exceptional service - very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Would also just come back for their great selection of beers, and the nice atmosphere.

Great pub with a lovely selection and great food. Great service as well. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, as they are battered in corn instead of flour and are simply delectable. Great restaurant!

Called in by chance after walking through the food market. Advise that you book really (most tables were already booked up ) but we struck lucky (only 2 ppl) . Sunday lunch to die for in a very relaxed setting -with nice beer to wash it all down . One of those rare finds when your not from round here bit ! Easy to recommend.

Ribeye was very sinewy... Onglet very tasty. All and all a very pleasant experience, but for the 30+ pound price, I would have expected a far better slice of ribeye. Service not bad...
