I had breakfast this week at Tanner & Co. The sun was shining so I sat in the courtyard. I was met by the smiling and friendly face of a young man who couldn't have done enough to make my breakfast very enjoyable. I ordered a pot of tea and a bacon and fried egg sandwich. The tea was 'a proppa cuppa'. Leaves in an enamel pot and the sandwich was delicious. Uncut bread, crispy bacon and a perfectly cooked egg. Served on an open board with a side of tomato and brown sauce (for those of us who can't quite make up our minds). This lovely young man even sat and chatted with me fir a while. Thank you Tanner & Co, I'll be back.

London best kept secret! Bottomless brunch here is perfect for big or small groups! They really look after you and it's the best value for money on a brunch in town! Book early to avoid disppointment - 11am - 1pm sitting is nice if you're looking for a more chilled and relaxed brunch, the 2-4pm slot gets busy with big groups, but a great buzzing atmosphere and no rowdy mobs - I love it! :)

The food was outstanding and the only thing that made even better was the STAFF ! Not the cheapest but worth every penny £30-45 each person.

Super service, top notch brunch However the guy setting up the stage in the back room (for a function in the evening) was possibly one of the rudest humans I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Fortunately the rest of the staff are supers!

Highly recommend trying the chocolate mousse! It had a tangy orange uniqueness to it, which I have never tasted before. The outdoor seating is great for summer.

A really nice experience - good food, friendly staff  and most important, our little one seemed to have enjoyed herself too. We went to the restaurant at about 12.30 so it was busy but not super busy.  There was no waiting and we were attended to immediately. We were settled at our tables with the menu cards and the little one was given some pencils and drawing paper which kept her occupied through lunch!
We ordered fishcakes with avocado mayonnaise and tomato salsa, cauliflower cheeseburger with pickled red cabbage and chips, buttermilk chicken and waffle with maple syrup and slaw, and a side order of potato and spinach hash. We also ordered some lemonade for us and mac and cheese for the little one. The fishcakes which I ordered were really good. I absolutely loved the presentation. The portion size was perfect for me and I savoured every bite, yum!
The cauliflower burger was a good vegetarian. The buttermilk chicken and waffle was okay not great so was a bit disappointing.
The little one liked the mac and cheese and also nibbled on the potato and spinach hash. She seemed to have really like her meal.

The service was quite slow though - the food took quite long to arrive and so did our bill.
Overall a good experience. What we really liked was the ambiance and the friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

I visited Tanner & Co when on a Sunday brunch hunt along Bermondsey Street. In all honesty we only ended up here because everywhere else was busy and Tanner & Co benefits from being pretty roomy with ample seating. We managed to get a table for four without any trouble at peak brunch time which was pretty ideal.

Good restaurant and bar at the back of London Bridge. A little known area where there are actually a lot of decent bars and restaurants. Even if you want some wine training, the prestigious WSET school is in the area too. Tanner & Co offer wholesome good food. Not flash or pretentious, just great portions of goodness. We had mushroom on toast to start as well as Scotch eggs. For main course was a burger and pie. Everything was lovely. Service as particular good too, with T being very attentive and funny. One of the best Bourbons I have tasted too!

Welcome to my foodie adventures! My food and travel blog will guide you through dining out in style. London via the world. Apr 18 Review: Tanner & Co, London Bridge. HerFavouriteFood. Style Points: 3/5Price: ££Overall:  3/5. Located a short walk from London Bridge station, entering Tanner & Co feels feels like entering a huge ship turned restaurant. The decor is wooden with draped ropes and they're playing some cool tunes creating the ideal afterwork vibe for city workers. I particularly love the embossed leather look menus adding a touch of style to the venue.

Saturday night was a long overdue date night for Tom & I. It's been ages since we've been out for dinner in London together so we put on our fancy frocks (me more so than Tom) and headed to London Bridge to Tanner & Co where I'd been invited to try out the new menu. Tanner & Co is the debut offering from Camm & Hooper, a new bar and restaurant group operating in the city. The 100-seater restaurant sits on the site which formerly housed Delfina and is decked out like an old school gymnasium.

Tanner & Co is a great addition on what is fast becoming a go to foody street, with both Jose and Pizarro for neighbours they’re in good company.  There’s plenty of places for a good drink around here too and I think Tanner & Co is worth a visit whether you want a full on meal or a relaxed drink at the bar.

Tanner & Co is reliable. I've been twice now - once for brunch and dinner the second time round. The service is the star here. Professional, armed with a thorough understanding of the menu, while neatly avoiding the 'upsell' mentality for genuinely sensible recommendations. I find the setting so so (super rammed and hot in the evenings, not the most atmospheric) and the food isn't mindblowingtastesensation(s). But with some nice wine (we had the Gavi, yum!) and great company, you stay here for longer than planned and leave feeling very satisfied.

Will start by saying I have never eaten here so his review is prey on the bar side.

Tanner and Co is a bar I walk past every morning and see there funny sign out the front and have a little smirk to myself over it.

The bar is huge with a great outdoor area and a few ping pong tables out the back. The drink is reasonably priced and the bar is both modern and appealing. A good place to visit on a date. The place is always busy especially on a Friday and Saturday night.

Have been to Tanner & Co three times now.. The place has a great vibe with super friendly staff and three areas: Bar, Restaurant & Outdoor area (would be amaze in summer as it's covered in fairy lights). The menu is mainly traditional English food including pork pie, scotch eggs, ploughman's lunch etc etc.. The fish board was perfect to share and I rate highly over the meat board which was a little bland and dry. But all in all, great place to eat solo at the bar or with friends.

This is a massive new venue on a very food orientated street in SE1. 'Tis not an easy crowd to please and hence I applaud the staff and management behind Tanner and Co. I love the "school themed" decor and the very unique events space out the back. Lots of attention to detail and very original with a small homage to the Tanners of days gone by in the area. Food wise this place is a winner with great ingredients in every dish. Everything is super tasty and a great selection of sharing plates. Albeit a tad slow coming out of the kitchen, taste conquers all. The staff are generally very good and the cocktails hit the spot. I recommend the Hickmans Folly! Food wise try the spam fritter, scotch edge, charcuterie board, mushroom carpaccio (incredible), the burger and the liver. Pudding wise the butterscotch tart makes me smile. Highly recommended!

Perfectly cooked egg, surrounded by good quality sausage meat and a thin coating of breadcrumbs. I wish they sold the mushroom ketchup by the bottle!

Thanks for being dog-friendly and for serving so many vegan options. I had a shepherd less pie and mash and was great (just very tiny, so I would recommend ordering some sides as well). The restaurant has beautiful decoration and the staff is friendly. It's great for dinner with friends or a date. The outside area is great too.

Good sociable and rustic bar and restaurant with friendly atmosphere and staff. Family friendly and Dog friendly place, a lovely experience even though we only came in for a couple of drinks. Very relaxing and sociable place to have food and drink in

I really enjoyed choosing amongst the large variety of cocktails. Everything I ordered was sophisticated and well measured. The food was interesting and it made for great pairing with the cocktails and wine.

When visiting London we really like Bermondsey as it feels more like a holiday resort with the most friendly welcome. We found Tanner & Co some years ago and have returned every time we stay. The welcome starts with the hugely friendly man at the entrance who has an amazing sense of humour and always finds us the best table and always remembers us!! Last week we visited on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and were met inside by Peter - new to us. From our arrival to departure he was a classic example of the very best Customer Service has to offer. Cheerful nature and very attentive service with nothing left to chance. We had told him we would be late on the second evening and on arrival he had kept us a super table and again just exuded welcome and service throughout 😀!! Peter is a seriously important asset to Tanner & Co and a big thank you to all others we came into contact with who were so very helpful and professional. Big thank you Tanner & Co. - see you again soon 👍👍👍👍👍👍🍷🍷🍷🍷😋🙏🙏

Lovely place!! Our waiter, Kadaisha did a really great job and ensured we were satisfied and she did so with a smile on her face (really cheerful lady). The fries were bomb and the pulled pork was yummy (way better than I expected. If I must say). Great spot! I was also able to get bomb pictures outside by the flower booth.

I must say this place feels so much more welcoming compared to my previous visits! the new beer selection is great and my partner enjoyed trying each of them! a great bonus is that they are extremely dog friendly!, so max was greeted with his own water bowl, a lovely blanket and plenty of doggy treats! a great way to spend a lazy afternoon!
