Do visit this place if you are ever in London! Its such a gem of a place! Super warm and cosy! Small little cafe very close to the tube station! I almost went here every second day and spent hours reading and doing my work! The owner is extremely warm and friendly! I loved everything on their menu! My absolute favorite is the ham, cheese and salad baguette and mocha! But i once had their pancakes! and they are SO GOOD!

I've to thank a surprise catch up with a friend for the discovery of this little gem in the Tufnell Park area. Even more for the knowledge of a garden hidden at the back of the cafe. Sitting there you can't hear the noise from the road or from inside and it works it's magic in making you forget the passing time. Expecially with a cup of tea and an apple pie, or cheesecake and cappuccino like my friend, to keep you company while chatting. The vibe is great, the owner and the staff lovely and the regulars quite chilled, absolutely worth more than one visit.

I have 5 words for you.

CAKEY CAKE AND FREE WIFI.

I love Rustique cafe. Thoroughly unpretentious, quiet and calm clientele and friendly staff. Bloody great cakes. Intellectual types reading classic literature mingling with yuppies like me taking advantage of the free wifi on their MacBooks 'till half 8 on a Friday night. Perfect for a chilled cup of coffee. (Well, the atmosphere's chilled... The coffee's hot... Anyway...)

Massive warning. They don't take card! Gutted. And the card machine outside T Park Sainsbury's is generally always broken. I'm not sure if I should say this because I wouldn't want anyone to take advantage. But zomato users are lovely so I'll trust you! When I dined here and wasn't able to pay, they trusted me enough to let me come back in the morning with cash and a smile. Which I did, of course! Great service from friendly staff who treat the local community with trust and respect. Good times.

We went to Rustique cafe on a hot sunny day and Iced Mocha seemed ideal to order. Served in a tall glass, with whipped cream on top it was a good coffee, at the very best.

We ordered carrot cake and apple-pie. Carrot cake was moist and served with cream on sides and it was very delicious.

The staff is very courteous and friendly. Service is fast. We paid £12 pound for 2 pastries and 1 coffee. Food is little expensive, but the quality is great too.

I have covered this cafe in my blog too. Read it for a full review and few more tips before you go to this cafe: http://londoncoffeeblog.com/2013/04/21/rustique-cafe/

I love coming to this adorable cafe and I order the hot chocolate which is divine! The owner is so lovely and welcoming. I haven’t been in a while and he remembered. The atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming. No cafe in Tufnell Park I believe has the same atmosphere and same level of service

Phenomenal customer service. Excellent staff all round, very welcoming & fast service. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. If I had to rate the establishment out of 5 stars it was a 6 :)

This cozy literary cafe is one of my favourite places so far! :) The atmosphere is friendly and serene, while the nice classical music in background helps you relax while reading a book, studying, working with your laptop, or simply enjoying a moment with a friend. Many paintings to support local artists are exposed on the walls, while the shelves are full of books from a local bookshop. The food is also tasty and nice, and it is both possible to have lunch/dinner with their freshly prepared meals, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while tasting a cookie or a piece of cake. I really appreciate this place, its welcoming owner and its lovely atmosphere, and I would recommend it no doubts.

The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is lovely. There's a great selection of pastries and they are super fresh. There's Brazilian typical bakery goods for those who are missing home or are keen to try something new. Great quality coffee as well

Interesting place! Very close to Tufnell Park station on the northern line with a small terrace garden out back. The food was very nice, though my baguette could maybe have come with a side salad garnish, but just a thought. It was very tasty and I'd come again. The goats cheese salad also looked great.

One of my favourite places for a café in London! I used to go there as a student and I always felt warmly welcomed. The staff is really nice and professional, and the sandwiches will cheer you up! If you ever pass by, go there! I know I will when I return to London…

He said it is his ideal home and he would like to share with people. Now near 20 years passed, many changes happened in this area, but this coffee shop still stay the same, like old friends. Another hidden gem in Tufnell Park for you. Coffee Shops Each Tube Station For Digital Nomads 7th Stop: Northern Line-Tufnell Park Rustique Coffee Category: Independent Cafe (a literary cafe) WIFI: Reliable and free to use (need a code) Download 19.6Mbps Upload 10.6Mbps PING 9 JITTER 19 Seating: There are about 30 seats with small tables, bistros, and vintage leather sofas in the front space and several seats in the garden. Although the space is small, you still could find a seat even in the lunch time. Charging Spots: Yes Bathroom: One for Unisex Ambience: Homely, peaceful, and warm. As the owner said to me, this coffee shop is his ideal home, good tea and coffee, fresh homemade food, warm wall color, lots of books, a garden where people could just sit in to enjoy the peace or be in a daze calmly. Staff Friendliness: Very welcoming, friendly, and smiley. Cost: Coffee £1.7-£3.95 Tea £1.95-£3.55 Cakes £3.20-£4.65 (The whole cake is £40!) Food £4.95-£9.8 Something Special About the Cafe: The vibe is comfy and laid-back, as well as a little quirky, but the owners and the staff are really nice to customers; It is a good place to stay longer, even though you just order a coffee, they will not mind; Problems: The coffee is good, but food and cakes are average and overpriced for what you get.

This is an unusual place. A quiet cafe with a literary slant - the sort of place where you can work for a while, write a few pages of the novel, while drinking good coffee. The food is simple but nice - coffee, interesting iced teas, cake, scrambled eggs, that sort of thing. The staff here are really lovely and the whole atmosphere is just ... tranquil. They have succeeded in creating a precious kind of atmosphere in London - pure peace and a space to be relaxed and maybe creative in.

Great coffee - very happy to be flexible on milk alternatives etc, lovely staff, quiet enough to get work done, they seem very laptop/worker friendly, plenty of plugs for chargers, lovely sunny garden out back, comfy sofa inside, scrumptious cakes and cookies homemade by lovely guy originally from Kosovo.
