Definitely try if you're in the area. Roast duck and rice was delicious, much better than Chinese restaurants in Leicester Square, which has become so average. The hotpots are really nice, and can be ordered for one. Didn't even realise it's on Deliveroo, will start ordering for lunch now :)
It was a pleasure coming back again to China City restaurant again on Saturday, I was amazed by the Chinese New Year Lion dancing ceremony by the Chinese athletics team including the manager of China City restaurant and his son, the food was really nice well cooked the Venue was clean and five star including the staff the atmosphere was the best I have ever experienced in a restaurant with the Chinese New Year Lion dance, I could see the amount of effort and Talent that was put into producing that ceremony which was very memorable as my first live Chinese new year ceremony viewed, it was better see the ceremony live than on the screen
Lots of choice, and Dim Sum was great. Not too expensive for London, and roast duck was excellent. Near to the station so very convenient. Definitely recommend :)
Amazing!. After being so impressed by the Leicester Square branch I just had to try the Russell Square branch. It is almost better than the China City branch in terms of atmosphere and decor! The inside is beautiful with a classy feel. It has a really authentic feel to it similar to the leicester square one. The food was very fresh. My chinese food is now sorted!
Throughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. Was pleased to say the service was very kind and helpful. The food was of good quality and the portions were of decent size. Good food and service.
Authentic dim sum. Forget the gunk at PingPong, this place serves authentic home made dim sum as good as most places in Hong Kong. Service is quick and easy. Hits the spot every time!
Super delicious authentic Chinese food. We tried the soft shell crab and two kinds of BBQ pork, and it was perfect. The waiters was friendly and helpful, and suggested that I got some of their homemade hot oil for the pork, quite a bite to it but very good with the meat. Will come back next time I'm in London
My best friend booked for us to celebrate Chinese New Year. All I can say this place is amazing,friendly welcoming atmosphere with attractive staff and amazing food. We ordered 6 special Chinese New Year dishes and it was very delicious. It was all so fresh and tasty. Absolutely 100% will come back again. Thank you for looking after us .
Food here is lovely although my chow mein lacked a little taste. However everything eles what tasty. The service is great. Very warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
The service yesterday was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. The food was good, but the air conditioning was to cold and blew in my neck, which was a little bit uncomfortable. Everything else is absolutly recommended. Thanks for the great service!
As a Hong Koner, I can say the food is authentic Cantonese. I cannot really tell whether I am eating this in London or Hong Kong.

Celebrated my 30th Birthday here with friends and family and couldn't be more grateful to the whole team and food that night. The starters and mains we ordered were delicious and authentic especially the steamed fish and roast meats! Very impressed how quick the food came considering there were a lot of us there.
We ended up having a big karoake session which was organised by the owner who was absolutely amazing to all of us that night! Thoroughly recommend to come here for celebrations and birthdays and will definitely come here again :) thanks again.

This restaurant's Mapo Tofu （麻婆豆腐）has sichuan peppercorns (I think that's what they are called), so it will make your tongue tingle! That doesn't mean it's not tasty at all (it's actually really tasty!), it's just a precaution as some people prefer without them.
My favourite dish from there is hot and sour soup! It's really sour, which I love the most about this dish!

Ordered food to collect before visiting my son and wife in GOSH. Food was ready on the time I wanted it, all neatly packed with prepacked fork/spoon and napkin. The food (Chicken black bean/chicken honey&lemon/wonton soup/sweetcorn&crab soup and spring rolls) were all superb! Best chinese food I have had in ages!

Whilst the restaurant has a little bit of a 90's feel with some classic karaoke videos playing in the background that my 10 year old loved the food and service was excellent the restaurant was busy and clearly with customers that keep coming back and I don't blame them 😁

On the 7th of August I went to have a dinner business dinner with some Colleagues, and had to express my wonderful experience at this wonderful spot. The food and service is amazing plus atmosphere is excellent(as lots of business is difficult to gind staff in the sector due to Covid-19). This restaurant is located in one of the most known areas in the UK call Russell Square. I have to admit that evening the restaurant looked pretty busy.
Im a foodie person and nothing best that a place where you feel welcoming and confie. Definitely recommended either if you go for a gathering with friends, family member or as i did, business meal, even as a tourist.

It’s THE BEST Chinese place in London!!! The best food, amazing prices, the best service possible!!! I am a great fan of the food, prawn dumplings are literally the best on the whole world for such an affordable price. Sweet and sour chicken is great!!! I’ve been to so many Chinese places and in the majority of them the service is so poor, the staff doesn’t even look at you but just throws the menu to you, but not here!!! The best team, very friendly and welcoming, very helpful! Thank you Chinese City team for the great work you do ♥️

China City has a variety of food choices on their menu, from the traditional Cantonese cuisine to the Sichuan spicy food! Dinner here before the 2nd lockdown, service was nice and the food...so yummy!!😋
Peking duck with crispy skin, Mouth-watering Sichuan Chicken, Hot & spicy lotus root pot, Popcorn chicken with chili 🌶 All delicious!! Can’t wait to go back there when the lockdown ends!!
