Raw, authentic, cool place to eat. Had lunch here again this weekend. Perfect Grab and Go place for a quick bite. Food is really tasty, best Poké in London hands down... Excellent value for money. Staff so nice also. LOVE.
Amazing simply the best can't recommend it a nuff great food good atmosphere fantastic staff
Sensational.
With simplicity in their choice of produce and professionalism in their execution of every dish, Island Poké is one of the best new spots to hit London.
The tropical flavours are as disarmingly vibrant as the decor, the music a perfect auditory companion to both. Find safe passage and get to the Island as quickly as you can, you won't regret it!
Terrific place. One of 'my' best discoveries, this year. It's SO cheap, and I love the food. The staff are terrific and friendly, and they greeted me warmly yesterday. I'll be going there often
Wow! Just wow! Such fresh fish, great staff and an incredible concept! These boys have got it down
Not really a fish eater and didn't think this would be for me, but having been pursuaded to give this place a go I am now fully converted. Definitely recommend anyone checking it out.
Fantastic food-
Really fresh and tasty, great selection of toppings
Very friendly staff
Best Poke I’ve ever had. Been to both Broadgate Circle and kingly street and both experiences were exceptional. Staff friendly, great atmosphere, great food at affordable prices, also actually filling!
Full marks Island Poke
Could not recommend checking this Kingly Court gem out enough - so fresh, so colourful, so delicious! Great interiors too!
Very fresh, very delicious (but also very busy so give yourself 10-15 mins to queue unless preordering).
Love this place - amazingly fresh ingredients and lovely staff to greet you every time
Awesome Poke! Best in London by a country mile. Highly recommend!
There are no words to describe how good this place is..but I believe there is a song...
You do the Island Poké
and you turn around
And that's what it's all about
Woah, the Island Poké
woah, the Island Poké
woah, the Island Poké
knees bent
arms stretched
ra-ra-ra
Great concept and great execution. The flavours compliment each other fantastically and its a great healthy alternative for lunch or dinner! Loved the swing seats also!
Fan-fucking-tastic. Best Poke in town by a country mile. Lovely staff too x
Fantastic people, fantastic coffee and fantastic/authentic poke.
For those who are inclined to need/rely on a morning coffee, the Americano here is like liquid crack. Easily keeps you rocking until lunch, when you should absolutely return for a bowl. Either a make your own or pick from one of the three standard offers. Had my first 'Classic Ahi' today and it was just so good.
James and the crew have done great getting the business up and running, and I hope they grow from the Kingly Street base and make a success of it.
Great fresh food. When you coming to Wimbledon ?
One of the best value for money poke bowls in London🥢.
You can be your own or pick one of the classics.
There are a lot of options: tuna, chicken teriyaki, tofu, salmon in yuzu, miso aurbegines.
Prices around £8-£11.
Outside tables, but please be aware there are limited spaces.
Very speedy service and a large array of proteins, greens and toppings. The lunch time queue moved very quickly, and the service inside is friendly and efficient. I had a look at the online menu beforehand, but this is different to the menu board in the restaurant which I wasn’t expecting and so I had to quickly change and do one of the ‘build your own Poke bowl’ which worked out well, and was £9.45 for a regular bowl with salmon. The price is based on the protein you choose, and I think the greens and toppings are unlimited.
I opted for sushi rice with marinated salmon, Yuzu dressing, Goma wakame seaweed, pickled carrot, pickled ginger, edamame, red cabbage, topped with crispy shallots, sesame seeds, and spring onion which I really enjoyed.
Though tasty, I think it’s a little expensive, and I’ve had better - and larger - sushi bowls in London for £8.
Delicious healthy food; so many topics; pretty reasonable price for quality food in central London.
Staff are nice but a little rushy, even though I was the only customer in store. Decently helpful staff also.
You can swap out toppings if you don’t like something on their pre-made bowls. If you swap out a non-premium topping you can’t pick the avocado or aubergine or salmon/tuna.
The seating here is pretty bad. Inside, you have small counter style seats, but they have really flimsy unstable swings for you to sit on. They look cool, are fun, but if you want to sit and work while you eat, it’s near impossible. Also kind of hard to bend your arms and eat and work with the swings in the way. Not practical.
There are two indoor counter chairs that are normal. There’s normal outdoor seating too.
You can add as many sauces as you like at the counter, like itsu. They have teriyaki, sriracha (original), sriracha Mayo, wasabi Mayo, and light soy sauce- they’re all house sauces it seems.
Food was nice! I tried the Korean bbq bao. It wasn’t big but the portion was enough.
Eating out doesn’t mean u hv to sacrifice ur health! 😎 The colourful Poke bowl w/ rice topped w/ diced raw fish & fresh veggies or fruits is all you need for a meal! 🤓
Staff said these 2 are the best sellers!! So we go for it!! 😆
1️⃣Classic Ahi Tuna (£8.45)
Served w/ ahi tuna, shout dressing, pineapple chilli salsa, wakame seaweed & sesame seeds.
2️⃣Yuzu Lomi Lomi Salmon (£8.45)
Salmon, yuzu dressing, mango mint salsa, edamame & sesame seeds.
Both bowls includes lots of toppings. Portion is large which is more than enough for girls.😌 I like the crispy onion & sesames which bring more texture & aroma to the poke!! 👍🏻😋
❕Feel free to tailor made yr own poke bowl w/ teriyaki, siracha, fresh green siracha, siracha mayo, wasabi mayo and/or light soy sauce at the dressing corner. 🤩
Very tasty and a suitably filling experience. However, I feel the portion control on the rice is a little off, a lot more than "1 serving" of rice, its up to you on whether this is a positive or a negative :D
The service is always so good! And the food as well! Love going there. Special compliment to Lidia!!
Had the Miso Aubergine (cheapest one at something like £5.80) and it was absolutely delicious. At a price you can’t be too mad about for this area of london. However I was a bit annoyed about the fairly significant extra charge if you wanted to eat in- would’ve been an easy 5 stars otherwise.
One of my go-to places for tasty poke bowls and fresh ingredients - I always go for their build-your-own poke bowls as I love the fully customisable options and unlimited toppings too.
Pictured here are:
- Ahi tuna tossed in shoyu sauce on a bed of leafy greens and brown rice, topped with wakame seaweed, edamame, red cabbage, pickled cucumber and miso aubergine.
- Rare bavette steak in chimichurri sauce, with mango mint salsa, ginger pickled carrot, edamame, red cabbage, topped with crispy shallots, toasted buckwheat and nori.
Seating is quite limited inside, but service was very fast. Overall, I had a great experience and I'd come back again!
I absolutely love their new poke bao buns! They’re so generous with their fillings, and they taste so yummy!
