A small sushi restaurant with great food! We stopped by here sporadically on our way home tonight and was very pleased with our meal. Service was quick and the food came out promptly. We ordered salmon sashimi which just melts in your mouth and also the assorted salmon sushi dish. Very authentic and we definitely enjoyed.
Brilliant food in this small, very busy restaurant. Good service under great pressure with take away and full seating, very impressed. The soft shell crab in tempura was delicious.
An Absolute Gem in Finchley !!
We decided to try Izakaya after walking past it many times, and always seeing most or all the tables full. We understood why this little Japanese Restaurant a short walk from Finchley Central tube is so special.
For a start, the presentation of dishes is really first class, and the food is a just a treat with fresh flavors that had us smiling with every bite. We were really impressed by the whole experience, and to top it all off, the prices are very very reasonable.
In all we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will be visiting many times over.
Highly Recommended
I recently went to this Japanese place and found it to be quite lovely. The food was beautiful with lovely authentic flavours to it. The service was a bit slow but the staff were all so caring. The food is quite reasonably priced as well.
This restaurant makes it to my most preferred list of restaurant in the locality. The reason for this is that the service at this place was very humble but quick too. Another important feature is that the food here tastes simply amazing owing to the awesome quality of ingredients that are used. Loved it
I, along with my partner, went there during lunchtime and had a very good experience. We tried sashimi and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients used were very fresh and the meal was perfectly prepared. It was so filling that we couldn't complete our meal and took the leftovers for takeaways. We will definitely return to this place again.
We recently went there and had prawn curry. We also tried a few other dishes. The entire meal was perfectly prepared and the ingredients were amazingly fresh. It tasted even more delicious than what I had expected it to be. We will definitely go there again and must recommend you all to do the same as this place serves really amazing sushi.
I, along with my partner, went there and had a good experience. We tried sushi which was very good and also gave try to other dishes but rest of the food was pretty average. This restaurant is always crowded and that shows its popularity among the locals as well as tourists.
This place serves really good Japanese food and you must try it sometime. I recently tried this place and had a nice experience. The quality of food was good though it was a bit on the expensive side and I think there are other restaurants serving the same quality of food at cheaper prices.
This is probably one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The sushi here is delicious, fresh and quite appetizing. The service is also good along with being swift. The atmosphere is good, and the place is always bustling with Japanese people, which is the true barometer of a good sushi place. I would definitely recommend it.
The menu is simplistic with many of the basic Japanese sushi and hot food. The place is small with a few tables and a sushi bar seats. It really take you back to those simple Japanese restaurant. We tried the California rolls, assorted tempura and the aubergine with miso. It was decent food for where its located. A place I would return.
Discovered this place by accident. Service was very good and the food was great. Highly recommend the Korokke. Super yummy. We also had the sushi set and California roll which looked different to what you normally get at other places. They were very good and tasted fresh. Also had the natto maki (I'm a big friend of natto) and absolutely loved it. The takoyaki (octopus balls) had too thick a dough for my liking. To top it off, we finished the meal with an amazing yuzu sorbet!
We popped in one Saturday night between Xmas and New Years and the place was very quiet. We REALLY enjoyed the food... It tasted fresh and very tasty... The only downside is that it's not the most comfortable restaurant. Seats are hard, tables are basic, square wiiden... Not cosy. But the staff were very friendly and helpful and attentive.
Food was amazing i would 100% recommend eating here. Me and my boyfriend had the lunch special which is between 1pm-3pm i believe. He said this is our new place to go and eat :D
The food is fantastic really really good. Especially the sashimi where there is no place to hide. Every meal I have had here has been excellent. The service is generally good, but a little slow during busy periods and because they're so good they are often busy. Every one is polite, but the atmosphere won't wow you. The only reasons its a four star review and not a five is because its far from cheap. Its high end sushi, which as I say is fantastic very good place for a special celebration or a second or third date, but not for day to day sushi eating, unless you're much much richer than I am. But I want to stress the food is wonderful.
Amazing place. All the food served there is absolutely delicious. (Recommendation: The Croquette Curry). Good service, fast and efficient. The staff care about their customers and tend to them with kindness. Food is presented in a suitable fashion, also. I really recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in Finchley Central, wanting a tasty Japanese lunch/dinner.
Really authentic and prepared with great care and pride. Even the simplest dishes are painstakingly created. Sushi served at the perfect temperature too. Really good quality restaurant. I’ll be in whenever I’m in the area.
I've been here a few times and always really enjoy the food which is excellent. Their sushi is great and I love the tempura as well. Prices are fine, quite normal for a small restaurant. The only downside is the limited tables! Book to avoid disappointment.
Excellent. It's always been a superb little gem (I used to go there 20 years ago), good to see it continues to do genuine Japanese food. They do the freshest sushi and sashimi, and (nowadays) a lot else besides. The tempura is feather light.
Fantastic Japanese restaurant, now been completely refurbished. We go there three or four times a year, and particularly enjoying y the raw fish we have as a first course. It washes down well with the terrific Sake they sell.
