Ambiance personnel tout était parfait le cadre à côté de la cathédrale St Pauls un petit brin de France par sa décoration musique. Les plats sont copieux et délicieux.. Parfait
Good food location and great service and value
I love the area of London around St Paul's. As it's a hop, skip and jump along the Central Line from our area of East London, it's a frequent choice for meals, drinks, or hanging out. As several of my friends work in the City, it's also a place I find myself many an evening, tucking into supper or meeting for cocktails.
There’s something about French-inspired menus that makes me feel kinda warm and autumnal inside. Unbundling from jackets and scarves, sitting at a big window and tucking in to some tasty, warming food while watching the world go by has a distinctively European feel for me. I don’t know if this is an everyone thing or just a me thing, but either way, it rocks.
Cafe Rouge never exactly appealed to me in any way, but spontaneous Sunday evening night out in Canary Wharf while raining so hard you couldn't see where you going has its limited options. However, the evening turned out perfect. Great selection of wines, small nibbles and some main courses was everything we needed. Cold crisp white wine Picpoul de Pinet was a perfect choice for our sharing plate of chicken liver pate, selection of breads, charcuterie and olives, "petits plats" of camembert and prawns in tasty garlic and chilli oil.
The service was fast and our server was a friendly funny gentleman, who made our great evening even better.
Looking for something for lunch we found this French restaurant close to St Paul. Not disappointed! Really good with tasty food and cold beer! A great place to celebrate Father's Day with family!
Had the French onion soup which was nice. Good service from the young male waiter.
After trudging around site seeing, this was just what we needed... cold beer and a magic meal, just kicked back, busy as hell but really attended to.
I visited Cafe Rouge for my birthday, and It is a really lovely place to celebrate.
Whenever I visit any branch, whatever the occasion I leave fully satisfied. For my birthday I was able to order three of my favorite foods for each course: mussels, steak and crepes. The mussels are delicious and served with a sauce which results in you scooping up every last bit.
The steak is also good, but the fries are even better, really skinny, and just the right accompany for steak.
On my birthday my crepe came with a candle in it and the waiters sang to me, somehow knowing my name from my brother mentioning it when I ordered, very smooth. Anytime that I've visited a Cafe Rouge I've had lovely service and they are always very helpful.
Overall I really like Cafe Rouge, and it is a real treat. It can also be great for a fancy lunch, they do some really good vouchers for weekdays or lunch hours, we once used one that was 30% off our bill!
I ate a lovely veggie breakfast. The staff was really friendly they looked after us well. The portion is huge! I loved the taste. Thank you, Rita! She is so attentive and smiley.
A nice place to have lunch right near St. Paul. The food was not to my liking though: the toast was a bit burnt, the steak was too well-done and the lava cake was… well not caking. But the service was super nice and I love how this cafe is full of light
The location is wonderful, we got sat by a massive window which had a gorgeous view of the Cathedral. My dad ordered the soup of the day (Tomato and basil with two baguette slices). It was nice, nothing special but I suppose it is just tomato soup. For our mains we both ordered steak, I got the smallest minuit one, can’t remember how many oz, but it was a decent portion. I got the sweet potato fries with it which were amazing! The interior is beautiful and service was good. Of course it is a little bit pricey, but it’s as to be expected from a fancy french restaurant.
My small steak + fries was 14£ and my dad’s 2 course meal was I think 19£.
The entire tea time was lovely! Junior served us and was so attentive and helpful. Such a great time with my family enjoying our first tea experience in London.
The team is really friendly, they always checked back and asked us. Are server was Rita. She is amazing and highly professional.
a very good restaurant. Coming from Paris, I came on vacation to London and I found good French cuisine. Rafa was a very good server, with attention to detail and a smile. From start to finish he took really good care of me. A place that I can only recommend to eat or have a drink.
The beef bourguignon was like in France
Really good value spot at a beautiful location. This place has been here forever. Service gets slower on busier days but generally a good spot to get a meal, never disappoints
After a poor experience at a different Cafe Rouge I was somewhat reluctant to try again. However today's visit was well worth it.
The location and subsequent view of St Paul's is superb, the staff attentive and the manager was excellent (he makes a decent cocktail too).
Food was great (we ate too much it was that good!), drinks too. All served promptly and politely.
Prices are very reasonable given the location, ambience and level of service.
Excellent service and very friendly. One ☝️ of the finest places to get an excellent vegetarian/vegan breakfast… Fantastic!
Amazing value! The sandwiches were mind blowing and service was super nice! One thing to keep in mind is that the cakes for the afternoon tea were kind of basic, but still I’d say it’s a good deal for 18£/person! ☺️
