They claim to serve the World's best brownie's. And its almost true. The pastries and snacks were brilliant. Staff are super courteous. Visit and enjoy.

A nice cosy upper scale cafe that gives a nice view of parts of Greenwich. Situated in a corner near a university makes it perfectly convenient as morning visit, or afternoon lounging. Ordered a cappuccino, as a coffee lover the taste isn't something to be hyped about.

A cosy bakery that do lovely toasted sandwiches and bagels in addition to impressive pastry and cakes.

I suggest the toasted panini with carved ham, Swiss cheese and vine tomatoes or the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with chives.

The seating is scarce in this fancy little chain bakery/patisserie, but if you do manage to snag one of the few window seats, it's a lovely place for a quick afternoon pick-me-up, sitting somewhere perfectly between low-key and appropriately posh. There are a lot of tourists in Greenwich of course, which makes for some great people-watching if you're into that sort of thing. Food wise, I'll be honest - I am here mainly for the desserts. There are a range of amazing sweets in the display, both in larger and smaller sizes depending on how much of a sugar-rush you're looking for. I particularly love the Tarte au Citron - achingly sweet but with a perfectly dense, buttery crust that really works with the sharpness of the lemon. Then there is my all-time favourite Blackforest cake... here, it's less of the kind of fluffy-air type sponge cake that you often find, and resembles more a kirsch-flavoured tiramisu. In short, it is heavenly - and this is coming from someone who is (gasp!) not even very fond of chocolate.

The primary reason I go to Paul Rhodes is for their breads. They make it fresh, and make it well and plus have a lot of variety too. You can also pick up a basket of freshly baked bread for £3.60 (they have a variety of bread - rye tin, pain de campagne, nuts and raisins, tomato and parmesan)

How would I rate their coffee? Good. There is nothing to complaint about. They don’t have a lot of varieties, no iced coffees for example, but they do have tea!

The food is very fresh and delicious. It definitely is their strongest point. We ordered a puff pastry square with roast vegetables and goat cheese (picture below) and it was absolutely delicious.

The strawberry fraisier was more delicious than it looked. Trust me, I ate it in a minute. There is a whole lot of fresh sandwiches, cupcakes and pizzas too that they do, perfect for my Sunday breakfast. We paid £12 for a cappuccino, pastry and fraisier which is moderately priced, given the quality of the food is great.

Definitely a gem found out of nowhere. After asking around nobody could advise of a bakery nearby..so as we wandered we came across this little beauty. Tons of home made and delicious home made foods. Could have bought tons more if it wasn't for me leaving that day. The sausage rolls were a bit too meaty and after being asked to warm up, only the outer seemed to. So maybe mixing with a few herbs or even apple but that didn't put me off. The cakes were delicious. Especially the carrot cake. Absolutely want to visit this place again!!!

Incredible sandwiches and cakes. On recommendation from a friend I got the chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich - it was amazing! The lemon morning bun was so tasty too, like lemon drizzle cake but pastry!

Very good quality bakery products to take away as there is no seating to eat or drink. There is only one paul rhodes bakery, which is a shame as I am unlikely to return to Greenwich and I don't live in London. Loses one star for not being able to eat inside.

Variety choices of cakes and bread. Lovely lemon loaf cake has the right sweetness and lemon flavour, salted caramel chocolate tart is rich and creamy. Not a big fan of ginger loaf as it has a strong ginger flavour that definitely for ginger lovers.

Amazing bakery products, all so tasty and decently priced. Had our breakfast there, left, only to return few hours later to get some more. Whatever you choose, you won’t go wrong. The croissant sandwiches are delicious, the brownies have a smooth velvety texture with thin slices of nuts, the bread with seeds tastes like a bread should taste. Highly recommend this. Will definitely return when we’re in the area.

Great coffee and fresh bread plus some good vegan options. Really handy for picking up a snack if you’re exploring Greenwich- good idea to grab a loaf to take home too. Really good quality products. The cakes are lovely too.

Visited this bakery for few times the first while I was visiting Greenwich and I really like it. Staff was really nice and friendly. Tried few bread, cakes and pastries and found the sweet options better than the bread and savoury options. Their marble cake is really good and the portion size is generous, the chocolate and pistachio babka was good as well. Had the vegetable pizza and it tasted good but the dough was quite thick. For bread, I tried the tomato focaccia which was good but not similar to normal focaccia, baguette which was good, Sicilian olive sourdough which was my least favourite as I found it very dry, white sourdough which was okay but there is better ones in London and the session roll which I like the most and actually was the one that had my attention and make me enter the shop for the first time. I will go back there when I’m in Greenwich to try more options.

Team is amazing, always very happy and polite. The place can be s bit busy, due the location of the shop, at a corner really close to cutty Sark and Greenwich park. The bread is just lovely. The olives Sicilian Baguette is amazing, great taste and perfect fluffiness. We will defer come back again to try more breads 🍞! The other more classic bread we bought was lovely too! I give you my 5 stars for you guys! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thanks for having so many yummy bread options, it is great to have you close by. Open more shops!

I came across this most inviting shop just after visiting the marvellous (and free!) Queens House nearby. I tried in vain beforehand to find somewhere not a chain; I'm glad I didn't give up because this place is an absolute gem. People should stop complaining about the prices of very good independent bakery shops like this one because the voluptuous big bacon, avocado and chicken (extremely) fresh roll was worth whatever I paid for it (can't remember) and then the flourless chocolate cake was heavenly. I don't know what I paid for that either. I couldn't care less; nothing astronomical Worth coming to beautiful Greenwich all the way from depressing Kilburn to find this delightful bread and cake shop on my way to Uber boat back to Westminster. And please don't become a chain and open hundreds of them. That's when the slide downhill will start.

Second visit After review, I heard back from their head office. They take feedback very seriously. Glad to see they are determined for best customer experience. They were generous for offering me a gift voucher. I visited again today and tried their Cheese &Tomato pizza slice, Veggie sausage roll and black coffee. I have to say that I was impressed by the quality. The pizza slice was a thick square slice with a crispy and soft crust 😋😋. The tomatoes were juicy and simply enhances the flavour in each bite. Veggie susage roll was delicious too. It was a patty filled with mushrrom, cheese and onion. I really liked the taste. Black coffee was spot on! I am glad they reached out and I visited again. This going to be my regular bakery to go. First visit: I had high expectations with this bakery but they let me down. I tried Hot chocolate, Almond crossiant and Butter Crossiant. Only hot chocolate was worth the money. Almond Crossiant had stale Almonds with stale/bitter taste. It was horrible. Butter Crossiant was not fresh. It was not soft and crispy. A let down!

Lots selection of pastries and breads. I was definitely confused with so many choices to choose from. I wanted something savoury and sweet and went for the vegetarian sausage roll and pain of chocolate. The size of the croissants or pain of chocolate wAs amazing! Although the pain of chocolate wasn’t warm as I have it outside but I can taste the freshness of it. I would definitely heat it in an oven if I have this at home. Overall great bakery and it’s open during this lockdown period. Covid safe for sure!

Had the Potato bread at OXO Restaurant - Fantastic. Then fell over the bakery when visiting Greenwich market the next day. What a find! Superb bread and cakes.

The lines were long at the nearby market, but short and efficient at Paul Rhodes. Their baked goods counter offered all sorts of temptations, but we settled on trying two: a mini salted caramel tart and mini Bakewell tart. The former was like a millionaire slice, but with soft, gooey caramel. I loved the Bakewell. The frangipane and jam perfectly complemented each other. As we ate these in a nearby park, we appreciated that the pastry was sturdy and tasty, so we had no trouble eating with our hands. Based on this experience, I’d happily visit another Paul Rhodes location.
