Great take away and the chilli vinegar in the liquor added a bit of spice.
Quality bit of pie & mash & lovely friendly staff
Would highly recommend getting involved
Miss our old pie shop in Shepherd's Bush.. Golden Pie nearly as good .. given 5 stars as Tina from Cooks of Shepherd's Bush works there !!!! Will definitely be back!
If you like Pie & Mash? This place is a must to visit! The Liquor is awesome!!
This is what London is all about.
Great Food.
The lady who works on a Saturday is the best x
I have visited P&M shops all over London and there are some really good ones. Golden Pie is without doubt (for me) up with the best.. end of
Great food - always the best pies can be had here. I've tried a few P&M shops now and been disappointed by two well established "big names" that others recommend. The Golden Pie is consistently tops for P&M&Liquor. And must mention too, the treacle sponge & custard :-)
Love it , x SIMPLE AS Good food leave with full belly’s ready to walk back down the hill lol
Great Pie & Mash, the eels were the perfect texture... Not to forget authentic liquor. Thanks you Golden Pie.
A few months ago a new pie and mash shop appeared on Lavender Hill. A new pie and mash shop. Somewhere you can knock back plates of jellied eels and liquor, washed down with a cup of builder's tea, the kind of place that hitherto has only existed in obscure parts of Hackney and in Anthony Bourdain travelogues. A new one opened in Battersea. Its arrival was, to say the least, unexpected. I've been twice now. My first visit was on the way back from work on a Thursday evening, at the time the only day of the week it stayed open after 6pm. I bought a little box to take home with me and it cost £3.50, a bargain even if it had been less than good, but I was quite pleased with it - nice crispy pastry, good flavour in the beef filling (even if there wasn't very much of it) and plenty of salty luminous green parsley sauce. I didn't go back for months after that because of their wilfully odd operating hours. It opened after the morning commute and closed before the evening commute (in Battersea
Good service and atmosphere. Starters and salads were very tasty. Our pizza for 2 was a bit disappointing but the very large ones looked better and made with more attention and ingredients.

Probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The hospitality was amazing and the staff very friendly at all times. The staffed olives with feta was a dream of a starter. The pizza of two option is more than enough for two people and it is great than you can choose to split it in three different pizza flavours. The dough was perfect and all of the different pizzas we tried was delicious. Would definitely visit again.
Stopped by here for a drink and some food. The wine and the vegan shared plate appetizer were good, however the vegan chocolate mousse was not.
Returned again three years later, and had a group of about 11 for dinner. We had shared appetizers and 3 pizzas, and everyone loved what they ate.
Great pizza. Loved the fact that we could pick 3 different flavours. Lovely cocktails as well. Was quick to be seated outside. Great customer service from everyone. Was offered blankets as we sat outside. Would definitely go back and try the other different toppings of pizzas.
Delicious pizzas, you can choose to have different flavours on 3 halves or two halves! Quality / price great! Also, pizzas are massive.
Staff is super friendly and lovely, and the place inside is beautiful! Highly recommended
Lovely nice Italian. Easy going and a good atmosphere.
Pizza and food is very delicious for a reasonable price. Staff have been very friendly.
A great venue for every occasion; catch up with friends, hot date or a family celebration. The sharing pizza caters for everyone as you can mix and match the toppings! Brilliant service, I took my 10month old and the chef served up a rabbit shaped margarita! Thoroughly recommend and the no.10 is one the best pizzas I've ever had.
A friend mentioned to me ages ago that the pizza in here was supposed to be very good. I can report that it was excellent and the flavour combinations are unique and work very well together, so much so that I can't remember what I ate but know it was truly delicious. I usually like a super thin base and this was not it, yet I loved it as the base was tasty. The portions are generous and the prices are super reasonable. What more could you ask for when you fancy a pizza. Highly recommended!
I don't eat pizza very often but this one is very good. You can do half and half or 1/3 and try different combinations. Me and my boyfriend went for the pizza for two with 3 combinations. It was a 20 inch pizza and was giant. It serves easily three people. The restaurant is amazing with lovely cozy rooms.
Heading south of the river? Fancy a slice of artisanal Italian cookery in a pretty little floral pizzeria? Head to Pi Pizza restaurant in Battersea and you are sure to not be disappointed. The owner spent time perfecting pizza making in Florence before opening this spot. We popped in over the bank holiday to check it out. We were greeted by a ceiling of floral decor on entering the bar area – very pretty. Our table was in the conservatory area bathed in natural light, bright colours and a beautifully lit real tree. We had a view of the (enormous!) wood fired oven, perfect for pizza watching!
We tried the As Good as it Gets and Cocoflake Martini. The former was tall and refreshing, a great summer drink. The martini was a bright pink little number, with coconut and rose syrups mixed in. If sweet and sugary is how you like them, I would recommend this one. Both beautifully presented, it’s a thumbs up for Pi’s cocktails.
We opted for the burrata (£7) to start, served with caramelised black fig this dish was creamy and decadent. We also tried the cauliflower and old Winchester arancini (£5.50).Crisp on the outside and pure melt in the mouth deliciousness inside, these were also a real hit.
At Pi Pizza you can opt for a single 2 inch (£12) pizza or share a 20 inch (£24), we opted for the latter. You can try up to 3 different types on your 20 inch . We went for a classic margarita and also rosary goats cheese with crispy kale and caramelised onion. Our final choice was the gorgonzola, baked pear and walnut cream. The latter was our absolute favourite – deliciously sweet with rich cheese it was a match made in heaven. The crispy kale with the tangy onions was a very close second. The sharing pizza is served in huge raised boards making it easy for everyone to get a slice!
All desserts are made in house and there is a wide range of fruity gelato and sorbets (suitable for vegans) sourced from Hampshire. We tried the lemon meringue which was lovely and tangy but the base felt a little stodgy . The gelato however was fresh and fruity and totally fitting dessert for a warm night – refreshing with bags of fruity flavour.
Pi Pizza restaurant in Battersea is a gem of a place that clearly takes pride in the food they serve. The sourcing of the ingredients and quality of them was evident from our first bite. If you want fantastic quality pizza and atmosphere that transports you away then pop in, I am already planning my next visit. If you are partial to a bottomless option, there is now a bottomless lunch available on Saturdays too.
