Amazing and delicious. The best Xinjiang food I've ever eaten. Even better than in china itself. The service and staff were so lovely. Can't wait to go back !

As a chinese person I have to say that the food here is really authentic comparing with most the chinese restaurant in london. If you want northwest style chinese food/xinjiang cuisine, you're at the right place.

Great tasty food, not too spicy, very different to your usual 'British Chinese takeaway' style food. No alcohol, unpretentious, friendly and really good value

Etles Uyghur Restaurant truly impressed me with its outstanding cuisine. The traditional beef laghman was an absolute delight and ranks among the best dishes I've had in a long time. The combination of noodles and vegetables created a burst of flavors that felt like a delightful party in my mouth. I wholeheartedly rate this experience a perfect 10/10!

Service was amazing. The rice portion was very little, as well as the quantity of meat within the main dish. There was an imbalance of flavours. The tea and baklava were amazing.

Really friendly staff, it’s quality homemade food from western China with a Muslim influence, very worth the visit and recommend. The restaurant is homely and cute. Recommend the home made noodles.

This restaurant is one of the reasons why visiting trying new cuisines is something I should be doing more often. We came on a Saturday afternoon and ordered their Manta dumplings, stir fried noodles with lamb and their lamb skewers. The manta dumplings lovely and was pretty big! (Boyfriend’s hand for scale in the picture 😂). I was obsessed and fascinated by the chilli oil / sauce that came with it as it was the perfect amount of spice and had a sour taste to it which I’ve never had! Wish I knew what it was called and how it’s made? The stir friend lamb leghmen was amazing. It was so aromatic, flavours were so unique. I can say the same about the lamb skewers which were so flavourful. These two dishes were hands down my favourite and would recommend to anyone who is visiting Etles Uyghur Restaurant for the first time! It’s a cozy little restaurant which feels very homely with good customer service too. You also do not need cash as they accept card for you to pay. Only downside is probably having to wait for the lamb skewers for a long time (20-30 mins) as we were already done with the noodles and dumplings when it came. But other than that, great flavours!

Cosy restaurant that serves tasty and affordable Uyghur dishes. Really glad to have this in the area because it was my first experience trying Uyghur food - to me it was like a great mix between Indian and Chinese style flavours. All the flavours were familiar but in a different way that I’ve never tasted. Will definitely be back here more often - it is BYOB if you want alcohol, and during peak times service is slow like when we went on a Friday evening

Family-owned restaurant with incredible authentic Uyghur/Turkic food. The atmosphere is perfect and the service was fast. We got the stir-fried lenghmen noodles, the samsa samosa, tugur dumplings, naan and the authentic Uyghur etken chay tea drink. We were very pleased with the food and would definitely return back.

Having a friend who missed a trip last month to Etles we thought we’d give it another run, this time to the Walthamstow branch. We ordered the kidney & chicken wing skewers as starters then shared the stir fried tripe, lamb trotters, traditional Leghmen and a naan. A nice variety of flavours and textures, the chicken wings and tripe were most flavoursome for me. For the less offal inclined they have plenty of normal stuff on the menu too. Staff were efficient and professional. The only minor negative was that it was maybe a bit expensive relative to what we got, I’ve had similar in other restaurants for much less.

It was an absolute delight to experience Etles, the atmosphere is warm and hospitable, the food is excellent and the service was as though you're a guest in a loving home. Would highly recommend, and try to skip lunch so you can really explore the menu :) The dumpling soup (can't remember the name), bread and stir fry chicken noodles were delightful, as was the sauce which came with the manta dumplings. Whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed!

𝗘𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝘆𝗴𝗵𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 @etles.restaurant Though I’ve had some pretty great meals over the years, this would easily make it to the top with some of my favourite places. The food was magnificent and it truly is a gem. I ordered the following dishes and my only regret is not ordering more: - 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻 (𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗯) - 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 I’ve never tried Uyghur food and this place has been on my list for 3 years, so when Hubby said he is going down Walthamstow, I finally got the chance to order! The restaurant offers authentic dishes from Xinjiang in Northwest China. If you order food from here, you must try their hand pulled noodles, which are made fresh! The Stir fried Leghmen was bursting with flavour & although the portion looked small, it was very filling. The chunks of lamb were cooked perfectly too. I ate this on Friday and by Saturday, I was craving it again! The steamed dumplings were filled with lamb and onions. The filling was very juicy. The flavours are subtle but add some of that chilli oil and it brings the dumplings to a whole new level! Absolutely LOVED it!! If you don’t like spicy food, add only a small amount of the chilli oil. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and I wish I ordered more to try some of the other dishes. Have you tried Uyghur food? If not, I’d highly recommend it!! #uyghurfood #noodles #noodleslover #dumplings

We ordered by phone for collection. First time. Big plate chicken to share, beef noodles and lamb skewers. We ordered at 1415 and were told to come in half hour. We went at 1440 and were kept waiting until 1515. They packed my boxes after serving everyone else sitting in the shop. Very stressful as it was time to pick up the kids. Food was delicious though. Very different from traditional Chinese. It was fragrant and refreshing. Lovely colours. The gentleman who was serving took off £3 from the final bill for the delay in serving. We will be going back but at a less busier time.

Ok where do I start about this restaurant. I drive 1 hour just to eat this food that how good it is. The best way to describe the type of cuisine this is, is to say that’s a mix of East Asia and Turk. I guess that’s way the food is from the Uyghur culture. The food is fresh and I mean fresh the udon noodle are so good and probably the only udon noodle I have ever tasted that was just so perfect. The spices are just perfect and the meat is tender and cooked to perfection. The restaurant looks outdated and may not look inviting but I assure you, once you eat here you will love it. In my opinion the Walthamstow branch is the best one compared to the Finsbury Park one but that’s just my opinion. I will always come to this place to eat.

An authentic experience surrounded by great staff and exceptionally good food. A flavours bomb awaiting to shake up your senses. I was truly surprised by a bouquet of flavours that is almost a mix of Chinese and Mediterranean cousins. Definitely to try. Nevertheless to discover more about this culture, nowadays so much in the news due to very worrying political reasons.

Very interesting dishes at agreeable prices. It's BYOB and no reservation was required which I liked a lot. I would really recommend this place, especially if you've never tried the cuisine before. The vege dumplings were sensational.

Orders the lamb manta, lamb samosa, lamb polo and chicken large plate which were all really good. The naan wasn’t very nice so wouldn’t recommend.

What an absolutely lovely restaurant. I've been wanting to come here for literally years (5+) but it's right the other end of London from me. I happened to be in the area today so gave it a try, and it was so good that I think it's worth the 2+ hour journey to come back again. The lady who served me was so warm and welcoming and friendly, wish more restaurants had people like that working there. I had the Uyghur "Etken" tea, Chochure soup and stir fried laghmen with beef. All was delicious. The soup was exactly as I hoped for - warming, strong lamb flavour in the dumplings and the lamb had cumin seasoning. The tea was very different to any tea I had before, it was served in a bowl not a cup and was very milky and was delicious. I'd never had tea with salt before (but I knew it existed) and I loved it. Laghmen stir fry with beef was so flavoursome. I've had Uzbek laghman before and it was good but a little plain. The Uyghur Laghmen was so full of flavour and it was unlike anything I'd ever had before. I think it had Szechuan peppercorn or something similar which numbed my tongue a little, it was just delicious. Huge portion too, very filling.
