I first went to La Pernella around 1996, from the moment I walked into what was then called Alberto's, I fell in love with the place. I would go early in the morning for an amazing veggie breakfast and think nothing of going back in the evening with my famiy for dinner considering I live in Bromley LOL. The pizza is fantastic, my two girls thought it was amazing when the pizza came out on it's own little table. I have brought all my family and many of my frineds to this wonderful Pizzeria over the years and every single one raved about it. Love this place, the food Elena, Mariano and staff and still very much miss and love my good friend Alberto. Garrett Lane's best little gem.
Why go though the hassle in going to Italy when you have a real authentic pizzeria run by a real Italian 'famiglia'! Huge array of fresh pizzas (cooked in a wood burning oven) and other Italian food to choose from, served by the friendliest of people (including the most 'attraente').
The restaurant also serves delicious breakfast and brunch til early afternoon so there is no need to go anywhere else!
Lastly, you must, oh must, try the authentic Italian coffee. It is simply to die for. No other coffee house can compare! Even the cheap price!!!
Had an amazing party to celebrate my sons 4th birthday. Elena and the staff were fabulous and very hands on. All the kids made their own pizzas and the adults could have a nice relaxing glass of wine. Highly recommend!
The friendliest restaurant in London. Fantastic pizza, delicious Italian food, warm and welcoming owners and staff. Fabulous with children. I love this place, becoming a bit of a Saturday night thing for our little family.
We have been going to La Pernella every Friday for years. It is simply the best, true Napolitana pizza available in London. Run by a wonderful family, it has been an institution in South West London for decades. Love this place

Very lovely staff, excellent pizza and well priced. Not the most beautiful restaurant in the world but it matters not. The food is well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!! My 2 yr old daughter has not stopped talking about her 'bunny pizza' :)

I used to live around and visited few times for lunch. Elena was always very friendly , food is generous , homemade . Her homemade tarts and sweets are lovely too. Portions are big, I always shared. Recently visited again and was lovely.
We've ordered from this restaurant the first time this last week and we will repeat!
The food presentation is not the best (perhaps because it was delivered) however the taste is VERY GOOD. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The cheesecake, the Nutella tart, and both pizzas were very tasty.

Really good traditional pizza base if you like this style but better eaten in-house as it can get soggy if delivered. Very tasty.
Very good Neapolitan style oven fired pizza. The only criticism is that a pizza I ordered with Prosciutto crudo came to the table with a topping of cheap ultra-processed ham on it, and NOT prosciutto crudo like the menu said.
Love this local pizza/pasta place - the food is proper Neapolitan (especially their pizza) and it has the family-run vibe. Prices are reasonable. Their Tiramisu is tops!!! Love to see this business thriving! Well done!
I have been here a couple of times now and the food is always good. I sometimes feel that when it is busy, those customers who know the staff get better treatment however, that doesn't take away from the delicious food and interesting pizza combinations. It is also slightly cheaper than some of the other options along Garratt Lane but that makes it better value!
Up there with the finest pizzerias. The 4.8 rating is truly justified!
Authentic ingredients and the dough is as it should be. A service with a smile at this family-run establishment. The homemade cheesecake is a must for dessert. The Montecarlo and Strawberry Cheesecake pictured, highly recommend both.

Had the parmigiana panuozzo and it had such a beautiful smoky flavour. I live in the area and this is now easily one of my favourite local haunts. The tiramisu and pistachio crostatini are delicious too!
