Went for dinner this evening. I am currently suffering with various gastro issues so asked for the gluten free bread for my burger. 5 mins later our waiter comes back with a message from the chef to inform me that the buttermilk chicken i ordered contains flour and would i be ok with it as i had asked for gluten free bread... 5* to the chef.... 5*! Well informed and friendly.. will definatlet be back.. we need more hugs in mugs!!!
Lovely setting for a Sunday brunch with fab decor! The outdoor seating is very nice too but better to book as it got very busy while we were seated. Our waitress was very quick & attentive with moving plates quickly after each dish. We had the blueberry pancakes, grilled seabass & trio of fries plus 2 cocktails - total cost £54. The food was quite good but the seabass could've been a bit more moist and the fries a bit less crispy.
a quick dinner-catch up with the girls at our favourite place! we used to work in that area when we started going here, we still keep coming back :) all of us had burgers (halloumi, chicken and cheeseburger) - they were just amazing, the best ones we had in a while! also, would recommend the Pornstar Martini to everyone who likes sweeter cocktails, it's the best!
Fabulous! Great service, food and staff were the best I have come across in a long time!
Thoroughly recommend 👍🏼
I was really impressed with the bar's customer services. My food took ages to come and the staff compensated me with proseco and chips, which I did not expect. They really do value their customers at this place. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the cocktails and food is great
One of my absolutely favourite bars in London! Great ambiance, good music, reasonably priced drinks. There’re often different deals on the menu; I once had steak & lobster with a glass of prosecco for under £20 which was a great bargain!
The Drake & Morgan Collection are one of the head honchos in London’s hospitality game. With an impressive portfolio of restaurant and bars across the city, such as The Anthologist, The Folly and The Bothy, the restaurant group has swiftly become a staple for London foodies when it comes to finding the perfect culinary escape.

i'm a big fan of the drake and morgan bars and restaurants. the fable does one of the best sunday roasts around, and the refinery's bar has come to be one of my favourite haunts after work, so when the offer came in to come by and try the london bar group's eponymous restaurant at king's cross, well, i was in. i grabbed my gal pal charley and together we braved the many travel disruptions on sunday to pop in for brunch and have a good old fashion catch up.
This is a really nice space to have some drinks with girlfriends! Or even dinner. The staff is really nice and interiors are amazing. I had a mushroom and halloumi burger with truffle fries that was delicious
Summary: a nice place for food, but atmosphere wasn’t very compatible with a peaceful meal and staff were efficient but cold.
Longer version: came here on a Thursday night - booked a table for 2. This place was busy so I recommend booking in advance. The first thing I noticed is the music in there was far too loud. There is a bar area and a restaurant area, but the music spilled over into the restaurant. Our table was as far away from the bar as it could be, but we were still struggling to hear each other at times.
The menu had lots of choice and was clearly labelled for different dietary requirements. I had the chicken skewers as starter which tasted nice, but for the price, the portion size was too small. The fish and chips were nice and the portion size was better, but a tad too oily. No one offered us any condiments with our chips either - which was a shame. For dessert, I had the crumble - good portion size, tasted nice, but not much in the way of crumble! The sticky toffee pudding was nicer in my opinion.
Staff were efficient and accommodating. They regularly asked how our food was and we weren’t left waiting for very long for anything. The only thing I would say is that they were quite superficial and cold with us - I don’t think we ever got a genuine smile from anyone. It made the experience rather awkward at times.
Price was a little too high for what it was.
My first time at Drake&Morgan I was kindly welcomed from Cecilia ( bar supervisor) with a huge smile, she walked me to the table and showed me both menus ( drinks&food) explaining me what were the particularities. The --> zero waist cocktails<--- got my attention straight away and with her suggestion based on my personal taste I ordered the *Sea grass sour* as gin is my favourite spirit.
The cocktail came very well presented on a coupe glass all the way blue (spirulina algae) with a foamy (aquafaba) abstract design on top. The sweet taste was absolutely pleasant on the palate, accentuated by the plum sake (sweet) and lemon juice (sour), to enjoy and drink slowly. I then have been approached from Alessandra also with a smile, very politely and kind service. She explained me about the food menu as I asked if portions were quite refilling. I decided to go for *Tempura Samphire* with sweet&sour side sauce and *Brixham crab arancini* with lemon mayo sauce, this last one was a bit salted but delicious! ( I had to ask for a bottle of water later on)😆 This was my personal taste as I love sea food but there is a variety of choices on the menu just go trought it and you will find the perfect food for you!😉
While finishing my food Shawn passed by smiling asking me if I was enjoying and if everything was ok, I approved and smiled back, he also surprised me with his exceptional Costumer Service when noticing my dessert was mistakenly took off from the table while I was in the toilet, he ordered straight away a new brownie with ice cream 🙏🏾 (bless you)
The decor and ambience are very particular and unique, toilet (female toilets were clean and presentable, i loved the sentences on the mirrors) is on the lower ground floor ( needs to be addressed straight away when guests arrive or sit at their tables). The general atmosphere is loudly appreciated with music and lot of people enjoying the weekend with friends and family! There is also a nice dj set on the LG floor. I highly recommend this place for night out, parties, celebrations and much more, I will definitely come back.
A huge thank you to all the Drake&Morgan team.
I wanted to send a special shoutout to the restaurant staff for making our event unforgettable. Your professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail were simply outstanding. We felt so welcomed and taken care of, and we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Thank you for going above and beyond to make our day extra special. (Lukasz, Patric, Artemisia-best people)
Great place for a get together, central location, just one issue, could they turn the music down. I would like to hear the conversations I am having during dinner!! The lamb dish was amazing.
Excellent location to London King's Cross station and St Prances station. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is quite nice too. There is also kid menu.
Reasonable priced drinks. Unfortunately the bar had no premium vodkas (Grey Goose) as they had run out.
When I asked what is the espresso martini made with (as the menu shows Grey Goose) the staff shrugged and said any Vodka. I was surprised they don’t discount the cocktail or at least let customers know when this happens.
Other than that I felt the service was good and quick. The music was a range of genres instead of sticking to one/two genres
Toilets and bar clean and staff I spoke with friendly
Absolutely staggered that the Drake and Morgan only scores 3.8 out of five.🤔
Maybe it’s because we went in for breakfast and it wasn’t very busy.
The full breakfast was exceptional and cheaper than previous mornings. The bonus was that if you didn’t like egg, they allowed a substitute item rather than missing out.
The pub itself was fascinating, the money that must have been spent on it was incredulous.
You need to go downstairs for the toilets, which created a slight issue for me however, there is a lift in the corner for the less mobile.
It’s only when you go downstairs or lift, that you realise the vast size of this establishment. I must admit I went a little trigger happy with the photos that I took.
I assume it is a lot busier later in the day, hence not many chances to get so many pictures without customers.
Drake & Morgan in Kings Cross is a great venue for brunches, dinners and breakfasts alike. Set within the newly refurbished quarters with water features among a lushy green public realm, it boasts beautifully designed interiors and comfortable seating within a large venue over two floors. Food and service are great and prices reasonable. 5 stars throughout.
Spacious, clean and excellent choices on the menu both for food and drink. Service was fine, and the fish dishes exquisite. Very popular in the nice weather for sitting outside, but just a nice (if not better) inside.
All in all a very nice place to relax, and take your time to eat in very nice surroundings,
Lovely place with good food and great service. The restaurant is well situated at the business district of kings cross. Lovely decor and ambiance. Staff is very friendly and warm. We were served by Gabrielle. She was extremely attentive, warm, polite and took great care of us.
We ordered venison scotch eggs for start. It was the best dish of the evening and a must must have here. For mains we ordered rump steak medium rare with bearnaise sauce and a venison pie. The pie was nice. But the steak definitely need a lot of work. To start with, it was bland. Absolutely no seasoning. Charcoal burns were so overpowering that it was bitter. Last but not the least.. the steak was overcooked and chewy. The dessert was again amazing. We ordered the chocolate opera cake and it was just heaven.
Amazing Location just few minutes walk from King's Cross Station.
Staff very friendly and helpful, especially by greetings you at the door.
Bartender and waiters smiling and keeping always an eye.
Very satisfied.
Will definitely came back
Wow, wow, wow what an amazing place. I’m not going to lie, I did not spend a lot of money in this place in fact only had two cups of coffee but what a great venue. It’s so classy from the outside to the minute you walk in, to when you leave. I went there today for a meeting with my colleagues and was greeted on entrance in such a warm and lovely fashion by a lady by the name of Cristina she did not for a second question why I was there but was more than helpful in directing me to my colleagues.
This place is part of the new development of King’s Cross and for anyone who remembers King’s Cross from years ago will be amazed how much the area has changed and this venue is a testimonial to that change. I’ve actually never seen such an amazingly well put together place, on the outside they have blankets and hearing for those who want to sit outside for year round dining even though it’s chilly, it looks fabulous.
This bar and restaurant is almost visually perfect to me that is. On my next visit I definitely will be trying the grills and a glass of wine.
So I went downstairs and the area was spacious but cosy at the same time and beautiful. Well decorated with really nice floral displays and a nicely laid out bar with a wide range of drinks. The seating is perfect for groups of friends and businesses meetings, there is also a private dining area set apart, nice indeed.
I have to say the men’s toilets are delightfully clean and well designed. The coffee we had was very nice but needs to be hotter when served that’s my only complaint. The ground floor is open and so well designed it has the wow factor. They have a well stocked bar that caters for all types, you can always tell a good venue by the variety of tonics they stock they serve Schweppes alongside other brands so that means they don’t follow trends but serve what customers want.
After my meeting in the way out I met the equally delightful Dora who sent me on my way with such a positive energy that I can’t wait to go back. Great staff makes the experience that much better. Will I go back? Yes 100% yes in fact, I booked another meeting with the National sales director of Coca Cola based on my experience in this visit. Great place highly recommended.
Service delightful. A pleasant location in a landscaped area. The food we had was delicious. However there were lots of dishes with vegan cheese. Much as I wish it wasn't the case vegan cheese is yucky. I think every dish with vegan cheese should have a dairy cheese option as they otherwise looked lovely.
Ate there for breakfast. I had the Full Works and it was amazing! Our waiter, Antonello, was very kind and gave us a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Give that man a raise!!!
