I always dined in here to satisfy my need for asian food. The portion is big enough with reasonable price. Good place for budget dining.

Being a sushi lover , Eat Tokyo has always been my favorite. I love the quality of food we are served , especially the freshness of the fish. Ordered chicken teriyaki jyu, Chef special sushi platter and salmon teriyaki bento. Everything was just great and soooooo satisfying. But service was little slow and we were unattended for sometime for the first time which was little strange. But overall , I’ll still prefer this place than other. Way to go Eat Tokyo 🤘🏻

You can never know for sure, but although I had another decent meal at another Eat Tokyo, my stomach was feeling worse for wear afterwards. I’ve been to exactly one other branch of this chain and the game here is the same. Cheap, fast, fuss-free Japanese cuisine in the heart of London. The menu at Eat Tokyo is always mammoth, but I ended up wanting to get the bento box again. My friends went for the sushi and the pork katsu plate. Portions are as big as the menu, you’ll struggle to finish the dish. And I was mostly happy with the food, some of the teriyaki chicken tasted a bit funny. But good sides and it’s a fun variety. But as mentioned, I wasn’t feeling so sharp a few hours after the meal or the day after. I mean, I’d still go back, but be a bit more wary.

I went to their Covent Garden branch but unfortunately it's not on Zomato. The waiter was very friendly and polite. I didn't know what to order because everything looked nice, then he recommended the salmon teriyaki bento. Portion was quite big and worth the price (less than £9). The salmon and rice also came with salad, tofu, miso soup, and sushi. Everything was delicious. I gave 4 for the food and additional 0.5 for the nice service.

This place is like a canteen to me. Came here almost twice a week. Most of the time i ordered chicken katsu bento. Big portion and tasty. Sushi selection is also good. Was surprised as one of the sushi chef greeted me with my native language even tho' i never told where i came from lol.

Had to queue shortly but it was during dinner time so it was understandable. Staff seemed brusque and rushed but the place was obviously packed and busy. Their bento box was great, cheap and packed a lot in the portion. Definitely great value for my money.

All this time I’ve gone to the Holborn branch of Eat Tokyo without realising there’s one in Covent Garden!!.  This branch is more modern and has a different vibe than the Holbron branch. It also has the most amazing glass floor. It’s such a cool restaurant. That was definitely the highlight of my dinner. We were seated right next to the glass floor and throughout the dinner, I was so distracted by what was happening downstairs.

Japanese cuisine is definitely one of my favourites in the whole world so it’s always exciting to find a place that serves delicious portions of it!. Eat Tokyo has a few branches around London and I’ve been to the one in Soho and recently, the Holborn branch. I was very happy to find the taste of the dishes were consistent and equally delicious in both restaurants. I always opt for the bento boxes, since it has everything you want from rice, salad, miso soup and your favourite meat/fish/veg.

One of the better Japanese restaurants to go to in London for a no-frills Japanese meal. This is the kind of restaurant that are found aplenty in New York. Good Sushi and Sashimi, and delicious curry. It will not let you down, and it won't hurt your wallet too much either!

The food was good, great portions, the service could have been better but all in all it is a nice place where you don't have to spend a fortune. The menu offers a variety of options, which is always good.

Eat Tokyo is a staple restaurant for jap food lovers. Tasty and affordable! The £35 sushi boat is honestly so worth it. Loads of salmon, tuna, swordfish, sweet prawns, tuna belly & more.

I recently tried this place and was quite impressed with it. There is a wide range of options available on the menu to choose from and not even a single one of them is disappointing. The food is excellent and is perfectly cooked. The service is pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. As this place is quite popular, thus most of the times it is packed. If you plan to have a meal, better book a table beforehand only.

This has always been my favourite restaurant. As a Japanese food lover, I seek fresh, tasty and good value sushi and this place provides all of them and more. Along with amazing sushi, this place also offers appetizing sashimi, delectable teriyaki salmon, chicken, deep fried pork cutlet and much more. The Teriyaki salmon is highly recommended and is a personal favourite. I love their bento box which happens to have everything I love. The price is extremely reasonable. This is definitely one of the best sushi places to go to.
Make sure you reserve your table in advance as it is an extremely busy restaurant.

I visited this place with my partner on Saturday we were recommended by a lot of friends.
This restaurant is located on the peaceful street of Red lion and is a busy place for the neighbourhood.
We ordered the udon soup and katsu jyu, all for 10 pounds.
The egg sauce served with my katsu combined all the flavours together and made the dish taste absolutely stunning!
I am so thankful to my friends to have recommended this place. I will definitely be back !

The place came highly recommended by a friend for some authentic Japanese food. Tried one of the traditional Japanese dishes : salmom sashimi with rice and wasn't disappointed at all. The friendly and attentive staff just add to the experience. The place is really popular at night too. Make sure you book beforehand to avoid waiting in long queues.

This place has always met my expectations well and I have been here on several occasions. In all of my visits the staff has been extremely helpful and efficient, effectively providing good service. The food is always cooked to perfection and is tasty with fresh flavors. The dishes are always well presented!
The crowd is a mix of young people among the usual patrons, with lots of couples adding an intimacy to a rather tranquil and inviting ambience.
This place offers the opportunity of ordering a pint of beer with the sushi, as opposed to a bottle in many places. If one is looking for a quiet, pleasant and calm lunch it is the place to go to. It often gets crowded during dinner time, however, one has the option of making reservations.

This place offers food which is fresh and affordable at the same time. Just 20 pounds for such a wholesome meal! The service is a bit slow, however the food more than makes up for it. The surroundings are serene and fascinating as one experiences Japanese music through the experience.
I highly recommend the sushmi.

Not only the taste but it is the presentation that won my heart at the restaurant. The food tasted delicious too. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant offers a great deal for money food. The service is swift and the staff is friendly. I loved the whole experience and shall recommend to anyone who cares.

The menu is not the same as the outlet near Charing cross. The food doesn't compare either, it wasn't that well cooked and didn't taste nearly as good. If you have eaten at the outlet near Charing cross, you'll be severely disappointed. I wouldn't rate this place very high.

There was some good quality food here and just incredibly yummy too. You have to go here to find out really. The service is good and the prices are reasonable. There is no reason to not go here, with the amazing variety of mouth watering food they offer.

I am a frequent visitor of this place because I love their Sushi. Some of the things that I order almost every time I visit this place are the Avocado & Salmon roll and their fish. Though this place serves amazing food, the service was pathetic and the servers are pretty rude.

I think we've finally found a good sushi place in London. This place is as authentic as can be and serves the freshest of sushi. The price is very reasonable. Make sure you reserve your table beforehand as the popularity of this place makes it quite busy. Coming to the staff it wasn't very friendly but the delectable food more than made up for it. It is barely a 10 minute walk from the Holborn station. We'll definitely be returning here for another round of good food!

If you are interested in delicious Japanese food and want something that's quite cheap, I would recommend this place.

It's quite a small restaurant and generally gets quite crowded around dinner time. The ground floor decor looks pretty snazzy, especially as you can see the Chefs making the sushi etc. Downstairs (where we ate) was nothing fancy.  However, the food was delicious! Did not try anything too fancy but I had the Chicken Jyu and it was very good!

Looking to satisfy a mid-week sushi craving, we opted to try the holborn branch of Eat Tokyo (think there are 5 or 6 now)  after hearing good things. Even early on a Tuesday it was absolutely rammed and just managed to get a table, which is always a good sign, and presented with what has to be the longest menu I have ever seen. Slightly intimidating, and with some dodgy foreign-tourist-trap photos which started to unnerve us, but we needn't have worried.
Whilst its never going to win any prizes for the decor or service, the sushi itself was fantastic quality and pretty reasonable prices. The special rolls have to be tried, we went for the spider crab roll (pictured) which was heavenly. Temaki, nigiri and sashimi also delicious,
A big step above the high street sushi chains, and with its own quirky atmosphere it's definitely worth a visit - just make sure you book a table in advance.

Best Sushi I have ever eaten. Always very crowded, and thats why you (a) have to reserve in advance and (b) should bring a lot of patience because food can take forever on a busy day. However - the quality of the food is really worth it. Ive brought so many friends to this place, and everyone is as crazy about it as I am.

Reasonable price, very nice and helpful staffs, fresh sashimi, good enough temupra and big portion bento, our whole family and friends like it a lot! Will visit again next time when coming to London. And hope that there will be an EAT TOKYO in Liverpool soon as I know that there are quite a lot of people who like Japanese food and sashimi here! 👍👍👍

I really enjoyed my visit to Eat Tokyo for lunch today! I usually shy away from Eat Tokyo because the queues in the Soho branch is massive and you always have to wait for ages for food! This branch had adequate sitting and is tucked away in a quiet street so there was no wait time at all! Food was also really good. We had quite a few things but my favourite was the Pumpkin Croquettes and the Chirashi-Don! Portion sizes are quite sizeable, so good value for money too. Service is good, but we did have a slightly longer wait for our salmon rolls. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. The staff members were nice and polite, and very helpful too. In short, really good and the "better" branch to visit if you want to avoid long wait times!

I've been a regular for nearly a decade now and I can confidently say Eat Tokyo has never failed me, consistent throughout with its quality and prices. Highly recommended for value for money Japanese food! My go-to is the Salmon Teriyaki bento 🍱

My friend recommended we go here so we went. Even though we booked for 6:30 for 4 of us they wouldn't let us in till our whole party was there and we're going to let in others ahead of us? I thought it was so weird because if you book I don't see why everyone needing to be there is an issue... The food in itself was good and reasonably priced but the service charge was hefty. All in all a good place for food but don't expect much from service as it's fast paced.

Eat Tokyo Holborn is a cozy restaurant that serves authentic Japanese cuisine. The dining area is quite cramped, which can make it a little uncomfortable to dine in, especially during peak hours. However, the food is definitely worth it. I ordered the vegetarian tempura bento, which was delicious. The tempura was crispy and not too oily, and on the whole the vegetables were cooked well except the asparagus which was unpleasantly chewy. The bento also came with rice, miso soup, and a side salad, which made for a very filling meal. It was also reasonably priced, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the pumpkin croquettes were a bit of a letdown. They were quite bitter, which made them difficult to eat. However, this was just one dish out of many, and it didn't detract from the overall experience. Service was a bit rushed with the bill being hastily thrust upon us near the end of the meal. Overall, I would recommend Eat Tokyo Holborn for anyone looking for a taste of Japan. Get there early to avoid the busy queues.

Haven't been here for a few years but on a whim stopped in for lunch today. The food is excellent with a broad (maybe too broad) menu. Bento boxes are excellent and great value. We had some sides as well (ordered too much but didn't mind due to the quality, price and variety it gave us). If you're going at peak lunch time you should book but got a table at 1.30pm with another table free. Kudos to the professional staff and the work of the chefs. A gem.

Great place, delicious food. The Tuna Teriyaki Bento was flavored perfectly. I definitely would recommend it. But in order to reserve a table, each person must spend at least 25 pounds when dining.

Our new Japanese find! Went in without a reservation after walking back home from the gym. Surprisingly they had a table for two. Ordered hot sake, a bento box, a sushi set and two shrimp dumplings. Loved everything! I liked the detailed and long menu. So many options! They have great chefs and they seem to have like a nice community. Loved everything about this place! Food, staff, ambience! Prices were really good and food was fresh and tasty.

Great place. Fresh fish, a giant menu, friendly service. The place gets really loud and crowded on Weekend evenings, so sometimes it can be difficult to enjoy conversations so we enjoyed food 😅

Never fails here. Just need to ‘study their encyclopedia’ menu book and different meal can be discovered every time. I’ve been their other branches in Covent Garden, Bond Street, Hammersmith and Golders Green and they are all evenly good.

Cosy place with a lot (too much?) of choice from the menu. Everything was really delicious 😋 At first glance it seems there isn't lots of vegetarian options, but there was enough to choose from (eggplant dish and mushroom dish are wonderful).
