Stumbled upon this beautiful gem as a tourist sick of pub food. Ordered dumplings, soft shell crab, chicken in lettuce leafs, Peking duck pancakes, goyza and Singapore noodles and I can't praise enough how delicious each and every dish was. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere and decor is welcoming and relaxing. Do yourself a favour and book a table at ULI !

Uli in its new incarnation is just perfect. Its a beautiful, relaxed restaurant fantastically appointed by new co-owner Graham. The food is better than ever...amazing Pan Asian and a great wine list. I had my birthday there recently and the staff were amazing... everyone just loved it. Highly recommended.

Dropped in one night as a tourist looking to escape the overcrowded pub grub scene. What a sweet surprise. The tone was perfect. Professional but friendly, casual yet classy. The offerings were tasty and plentiful. Step away from the stout; this is your night out.

A very refreshing menu, incorporating almost all the popular dishes from South East Asia. Uli himself is a very humble and understanding person.

We loved the atmosphere and food at Uli. The patio was the perfect spot to spend a Sunday evening. We ordered the red curry with prawns, vegetable rolls, and spicy beef with peppers.

For years there was a Chinese takeaway at the bottom of my street. It was called Wei Hai Wei and, despite being just a simple little place with a few pink clothed tables in front of the takeout bar, it enjoyed an excellent reputation and people would travel from far and wide to grab a bite there. I too was a frequent visitor over the 30 or so years I’ve lived in the area but it must have been going for very much longer because I once met an elderly couple from North London who fondly remembered their courting days there back in the 60s. The Chinese waiters, little old men by the time I was a regular, were notoriously abrupt. Whenever, in my single days, I went there with a male friend or with a date, they would treat me like a princess but my companion would have to run the gauntlet. They would eye him up suspiciously and literally gracelessly throw the dishes down in front of him. In fact, to our mutual hilarity, they once or twice even barked “I don’t you. Who are you? What you want?” in heavy Chinese accents. However, interestingly, when I took the Lovely Husband who was then just a Lovely Gentleman Friend to Wei Hai Wei for the first time, they were utterly charming and clearly approved of him. It goes without saying that with such an accolade, I simply had to accept his marriage proposal!

As ever, brilliant. Our service was quick friendly and efficient. Accommodated our last minute booking of a large booking in their typically helpful manner. Great menu and strong wine list. Good gluten free menu and very transparent re allergens

Very nice Asian restaurant in Notting Hill. The spicy pork dumplings were very nice but they were not spicy at all. I liked my Moo Shu pork but once again there was no heat at all in the dish. Dessert was disappointing. The yuzu cheesecake was lacking the yuzu flavour and the ratio of crust and filling was wrong. All you could taste was the crumb as there was way too much of it.

After getting off the plane, we arrived at this restaurant. The staff was personable, helpful with food suggestions and engaging! We sat outside in a heated covered area! It was lovely!

We ordered the Uli coconut curry, which we both really enjoyed. Also enjoyed the wine. However, they were very slow to take our order when we were seated, and it was difficult to catch the attention of the waitstaff (at times, it felt like we were being purposely ignored). Having said that, they were pleasant on interaction. Our bill listed an ‘opt sc’ of 12.5%, which we took to mean an optional service charge. However, this amount was included in the amount we were charged at the end of the evening, and we didn’t feel that the service was deserving of a 12.5% tip.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially management staff. The food is good, but not better than my favourite Chinese takeaway, making the price a tad steep. However, the drinks were nice abs the portion sizes quite generous. Lovely neighbourhood spot and nice outdoor decking.

Easy to give 5 star review for Uli tonight. We had great food, but especially appreciate the kind service provided to guests. (Not just to us). Clearly a local favorite based on the amount of takeaway orders we saw go out.

Their food menu is very impressive - from five spice pork ribs to massaman curry and pecking duck. The asian in me is happily satisfied. Restaurant is near the tube station, but very nice interior with indoor and covered outdoor seating.

Very flavorful dishes, perfect warm wonton and tasty green curry. I am very happy with the waiter that served us (I don't remember his name, he was tall and had little hair), as not only he treated as very nicely buy also recommended a very tasty dish to my mother (for which I am really grateful as I am trying to convince her to this cuisine). Will return when back in London.
