Good place. Food is better. Yesterday evacuation alarm interrupted the atmosphere because someone smoked at the toilette. Staff were very professional to fix the situation. The waitress from Georgia was so gentle that I wish to come back again, hope to see her again.

Very good labaneise cuisine. Liked their hot salad, hummus with shawarma and lahma belajine. However their waraq enab was not great. I recommend it for arabic food lovers

Don't be put off by the less than classy frontage.  This was our go-to restaurant when we lived a tube stop away and no visit to London would be right for us without a stop here.  A family of four (and often with friends) we always sit in the back at the tables.  The Lebanese cuisine is fabulous, the mezze, the bread comes quick, fresh and warm, the falafels are hot and luscious.  The fattoush is crispy, the hummous, divine and the chicken and lamb luscious.  If you don't know Lebanese, no place could provide a better introduction in a low key, warm surrounding, if you know Lebanese you will quickly understand why this place is preferred by middle easterners in London.  It is a small wait staff, you feel like your uncle is offering you his favourites.  The gratis after dinner fruit plate is brought in when you cannot eat anything else.  The ambiance is close knit, we have had more than a few conversations with our table neighbors at this place so it is not appropriate for a screaming toddler who won't eat.  The prices cannot be beaten in London for a decent meal and this is better than decent.  Reservations recommended on Thursdays/Sundays, but they are really needed on Fri/Sat.  We never have had issues M-W.

A nice little middle eastern gem in the middle of South Kensington.  Try to sit at the bar where you can see the men at work (i.e. carving you lovely kebab!).  I am no expert of middle eastern food but this place seems rather fine at a reasonable price.

Best Hummus. Beirut Express is my favorite restaurant in London. They have the best hummus and pita in the world (I couldn't even find anything better in Israel, Egypt or Greece). The lamb shawarma is quite nice as well.

Tasty but expensive Lebanese. Part of the Maroush empire of lebanese restaurants in London. The food is always very good, the service typically off hand, the portions mountainous and the prices not particularly cheap! On the whole though the food is good enough to tempt me back every time.
They are always busy when we go and popular with local middle eastern londoners so cant be a bad sign.
We always seem to order too much so ask to take away your left overs.

Ambience quite simple with little room nice and clean.Ordered roasted vegetable wrap piping hot, full of flavour and dressed well with yoghurt and spices.  Try hummous, it comes with freshly prepared bread.
Prices were quite reasonable and service is very good too.

The biggest apprehension that I had to suppress before I entered this famous Lebanese restaurant was the issue of value for the money. After all, there had to be something more to it, when a chicken Shvarma is for £15. And I was pleasantly surprised at the extremely generous serving that they gave. It was enough for two people with a healthy appetite. The taste, service and the quality of the place make it stand out from a crowd of other Lebanese restaurants.

Fantastic food, very friendly staff and reasonable price. Shawarma lamb is definitely my number one favourite. Love the complimentary olives and bread at the beginning of the meal and fruit and bakery at the end. Portions are very generous. Lebanese beer goes very well with the food.

Good food and service, I loved the hummus especially. There is little variation of meat - just chicken and lamb - but many vegetarian options too. Prices are affordable and portions are abundant, they even offer some olives and fruit/dessert. Recommended for a casual dinner or lunch.

Large-ish portions for the price. Complimentary green olives and fruits...biggest portion of free fruit I've ever seen. Got the mixed grill and while grilled lamb and chicken were good, the minced lamb was a standout for flavour and seasoning. Completely unexpected as minced beef is usually worse than chunks of beef, but here the minced lamb clearly won. Hummus smaller than expected but still enough.

Truly fantastic! One of the few authentic Lebanese restaurants in the UK. Located nearby to South Kensington underground tube station and plenty of buses stopping bear the restaurant, the location is excellent. The waitress was so lovely, friendly and talkative and made sure we were all happy. Furthermore, for a shop that looks small from the outside, there is lots of space inside. The toilets and the entire restaurant was clean and well kept. The food was extraordinarily mouth watering! The price was decent and plentiful and food was served quickly. There is such an enormous range, including a myriad of traditional Lebanese starter mezze's, an enormous range of meat, rice, vegetarian dishes and sandwiches including shawarma. The freshly squeezed juices were incredible. At the end were pleasantly treated to an assortment of fresh fruit and 4 pieces of chocolate halawa/halva as desert on the house aka it was free! A brilliant way to end the day. I have provided a photo of the dish I had, which was roasted baby chicken, on-top of brown rice mixed with mince meat and roasted pine nuts, garnished with salad and complemented with freshly squeezed fruit cocktail smoothie!

Nice place. Most cooking takes place in front of you I open kitchen. Tried Fresh salad called Marroush , Chicken-lamb mix shawarma, and Turkish lamb kofta on skewers were good. Tap water comes with a slice of lime. Post lunch they gave a portion of sliced fruits and baklava complementary. Lunch for 4 would cost about £55 without drinks.

Food was good as usual. The menu is cheap and cheerful. Got the mixed shawarma, side of fries and melon juice. Melon juice was great, really refreshing. Service this time around was slow. Waited a while to get our bill, ended up making my to the till and asking for it. Otherwise, would have been 5 stars.

This is your standard Lebanese food, which is well above par of all other cuisines. At least in my opinion. Lebanese food, and Beirut Express included, is delicious. The small plates and the large lamb dishes are quite good and will leave anyone craving more. Come and give it a go. This place should always be packed, but we were the only customers here when we ate. Edit: from 4 to 5 stars based on service and great care for my family. Free Chips for our daughter and a free fruit dessert plate. Excellent service and very kind care.

Recommended. Excellent service. Excellent high quality food. I'm fussy, so finding a place that serves nice lean meat gets my recommendation. Staff are friendly, service was great, food was served quickly, was hot, tasty, and fresh. The complimentary fruit at the end was delicious and an excellent touch.

The food was spectacular and I don't say that very often. I went with a party of 7 so we ordered a selection of side dishes to share amongst ourselves instead of individual mains. We are big eaters and I have to say, we were all extremely full by the end. Amazing service also.

This restaurant is one of the best you can find in South Kensington area. It is central, close to the station and museums. It is easy to find. And above all, it serves delicious food. The staff are warm and very welcoming and friendly. The food portions are generously sufficient. The price is very reasonable considering the area. We were also given fruits and Middle Eastern sweets as a restaurant gift. It is a great option if you are in doubt or looking to dine in a good place in that area.
