Great little place. Enjoyed our lunch here. Kitchen is in restaurant so you can see staff making your food. For me this is a true taste of Asia. Wife had Ramen & loved it & I had gyoza. Free water to accompany your food. Toilets were clean too. Will be back.
Had the Karai ramen at level 2 spiciness and my god was it spicy 🥵. It's like having those Buldak ramen packs. Their spicy level can go up to 3 so I can't imagine how it is there 🔥🔥🔥. Still, the broth was very aromatic and the pork was really tender. Extra goodness if you eat when it's cold out 🤤.
Central location so it's a bit pricey 💸.
The shop is pretty small with a few tables outside. Only 2 indoor window seats. Pretty cozy during cold seasons. Tap water is self-served.
Will try level 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️ next time and hope the best for my toilet.
Without a doubt, London's best authentic ramen. I ordered Menya Ramen (ofc this one with the original flavour is the best) and Karai Ramen. The broth was palatable, the egg was perfect, and they also asked about my preferred level of noodle firmness. Although there was not a lot of space, I had no issue since I visited on the weekday
Very nice Miso Ramen with extra hard noodles. Lovely sake presented on nice tray with pretty earthenware. Good quick service. Nice to have such a good non-rip off place next to the British Museum, Of course they do take card payments
Visited twice! Fresh ingredients & texture of the noodle is right on the spot. Side dishes are amazing, also are reasonably priced. Staffs were really nice and gentle when I brought my dad here..
Decent ramen and portion size. Quick service and quite cute place. Some prices are quite extreme, e.g. 6.60£ for a 330ml beer.
Busy ramen place. Ramen is excellent! And I have eaten ramen all over the world including Japan. Its run by Koreans, but they take pride and produce excellent food. I had the Menya Ramen (signature dish, 13.80) with extra noodles (3) so the total price was £16.80. Which is standard for central London ramen. Highly recommended . Good service.
I don't eat pork, so I usually can't eat ramen because it's usually a pork broth. But this place has an alternative, which is a broth from seaweed & mushrooms. I had the seafood ramen and it really hit the spot! And the service was so fast, my food came 5 minutes after I ordered. So happy I stumbled upon this place!
Very good broth and extra hard noodles. Menya ramen has a very distinct taste and definitely one of the best places in London. The broth is not very salty and seem to be on a healthier side. They were cash only when we visited. Will be back!
Broth and noodles are top notch! Definitely on par with the peak of the London Ramen destinations. Not a fan we had to pay extra for Chilli, staff would benefit from a little engagement with the customers too. Also strangely this place only accepts cash - be warned. Overall a pleasant experience with some serious noodle action! Try it out.
(First of all, cash only , but there is atm by "Nationwide Building Society" we use that one and its really close)
Ramen was amazing ! The broth full of flavors! Delicous, fresh , big pot so definitely leave full stomach!
Kimchi side is must (cuz I love it always order everywhere) but this one made by them when walk in was first thing i saw and ordered straight away, Dumplings home made amazing as well! Worth every money we spend in there!
Place is small, so we need it wait like 5min until some people left.
Me and my friend stit thogeder and next to us by same table sit with 2 random girls, so get ready share space with other people.
Staff amazing friendly, with big smiles and always ready for help if u need anything (like extra chili flakes dont be afraid to ask it if its not spicy enough for you)
Marked in maps gonna come back again and again for sure!!!!!
This is a gem. Stopped in after visiting the museum craving ramen. It was delicious and fatty. The chasu was cooked perfectly, and the noodles were the perfect texture.
Possibly the best miso ramen I’ve had outside of Japan.
It looks like a family-run business, possibly Korean. It's small, there's seating outside. The problem with being inside is that the food smells stay with you. I was outside but because I was in my own and they needed my table to cater for 3, they moved me inside. Now, when I had my own restaurant, each time I had to ask someone to move, I'd give them something, sometimes a bottle of wine, if they're drinking. The owners should bear this in mind.
I had the tofu Sundubu ramen, spicy level 2. Now I wonder how they managed to boil the egg so perfectly 👌. It was quite spicy, attacked the throat at the beginning but it was fine later. I thoroughly enjoyed it - if you prefer it saltier, you can always add soya sauce.
Heads up: sometimes they supposedly have connection issue and accepts cash only. I didn't see the notice and I didn't have any. Luckily, I could make a transfer on the fly.
Yes, it’s true, the broth is outstanding. Subtle and smooth, not bitter as can happen with tonkatsu, if done incorrectly. The egg is perfection with some interesting umami flavors in the seasoning. It is on the expensive side, but worth it. World class flavors!
