Not only a great pub but they also serve very good food reasonably priced. I always end up here when I'm around Newington Green.

🚇 Cannonbury 🍺 £5.40 Amstel ❤️ A welcoming and subtly elegant pub. . The Lady Mildmay is located just off the leafy park in Newington Green. The nearest station is Canonbury overground which is a ten minute walk away. . This pub was built mid 19th century and was originally called The Clarendon. The pub has had many monikers over the years, the current name is actually taken from the long closed Lady Mildmay pub which was situated just around the corner in Wolsey Road. . The decor here is elegant in an understated way with lots of period features hiding in plain sight. The light walls are accented by the burgundy painted wall panels and ceiling. The seating is made up of traditional tables and chairs with a few chesterfields and church pews thrown in for good measure. Around the walls are artwork’s, mirrors and chalkboards displaying food and wine options. . The Beer choice was pretty good which included four cask ales from London breweries. My pint of choice was Amstel, my pint was great and reasonably priced at just north of a fiver. The food menu is Mediterranean themed, I didn’t eat here on this visit but I have to say the menu looked very appetising. . The pub was busy on this Saturday afternoon and I was lucky enough to find a seat. The atmosphere was upbeat and there was a nice buzz around the place. The crowd was local with a few young families in attendance. The service was excellent and the staff were personable and chatty. . The @ladymildmaypub is a welcoming pub with a subtle elegance. The beer choice was superb and supports local London breweries. The food is a big hit with the locals and the service was on point. This is a solid traditional boozer and well worth a visit. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 15/10/22

This a very fine pub, spacious and airy with the feel of a proper neighbourhood place. There is some serious skill in the kitchen, which makes it a destination for outstanding food. Really good cooking, varied and enticing menu, charming and skilled service. Prices are good, the wine list excellent. Make sure you have a dessert - the cheesecake is historic. Faultless,

We went here for Sunday lunch with our two boys, a baby, and another couple. I don’t think you can book but we were lucky to get a table as it seemed pretty full. Pretty much everything from the board menu was 86ed (they’d run out) so the only options were the roasts. I went for the veggie roast which was surprisingly good. For a start, it wasn’t a nut roast (which I actually quite enjoy), but mushroom stuffed with spinach, leek and almond ricotta. Lots of red cabbage and other veg and great tasting gravy. Service was reasonably timely for a busy Sunday. The food was good and we had a great time, but it felt a little lacking in atmosphere and warmth.

The Lady Mildmay mixes a lot of what I love about great pubs. A good selection of beer (including well kept cask), a curated selection of wines and a few cocktails to boot. The food is also a great balance of pub grub that definitely leans into the gasto without being too pompous, and goes well with a pint.

Nice pub. The food menu is good, with a good mix of interesting options. They are dog friendly, and there is usually a good atmosphere and large crowd. On Friday or Saturday evening you may want to book if planning to be there with a group

Great vibe and food, particularly the vegetarian options. I've had consistently excellent food here at very reasonable prices. The beer's good too, with a regularly changed line up of real ales. All in all, with good service too, this is a local gem.

Had a good experience here, ordered an octopus salad that came fairly quick, was fresh and tasty enough. Nice selection of lagers and ales on tap plus one or two ciders. The barman was nice, happily entertaining my request to try two of the ales before purchasing. The location was great for meeting friends as the roundabout had many different bus routes heading in different directions. Price was alright for the location. I would return to try some of their other dishes on the menu (I was told they sometimes change the meals, displayed on a large chalkboard)

I'm based out SE London nr Greenwich, but have been continually pestered by friends living more N London to come visit this venue for a meal. I will admit that I should have made the trip a lot earlier! Fantastic menu with high-quality cooking and preparation in pleasant cozy surroundings. They had just changed the menu and we chose calves liver, rib-eye sandwich, and whole fillet of plaice. As you can see from the pics - generous-sized portions! (also - i think their lunch deals are even better...) Service as well was spot-on, with v friendly staff. Will definitely be back here again!

Good quality food and local beers on keg and tap available. Food is a bit pricey but it's worth a try.

An absolutely super pub with a bespoke food menu for the diners. Wonderful people behind the bar, eager to help out with all your drinking and eating needs. A good range of kegs on offer, also a couple of casks running with another one on the way! Open, airy and generally a really pleasant and special atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend a little journey to northish London for a super experience.

Delightful meal of well prepared and inspired food. Busy, a bit noisy but it is a pub and this shows that this is a destination. Nice selection of wines by the glass.
