Undoubtedly the best place to enjoy south indian food. Sambar determines the quality of any place and this one is up there in terms of authentic taste and the right flavours.
Nestled in middle of busy Brick lane, its easy to miss this.
If you are around central London and craving for south Indians or indian food in general , head here and you shall not regret.

If you are ravenous and in the mood for authentic curry then Brick Lane can be both a blessing and a curse. The sheer number of places laying claim to being the best in London, Britain and the World is just insane. If that’s not enough there are always the touts who try beckoning you in with promises of freebies and high quality food – try and guess which one you’re more likely to get.We were based at the Hub by Premier Inn hotel right in the middle of Brick Lane so naturally dinner on the saturday evening was going to involve Indian food. Trawling through Tripadvisor and other blog’s featuring reviews of the area it wasn’t easy trying to decide on a venue. Many reviews had come from people that had been lied to by the touts of free drinks and cheap bills. Others praised the world class cuisine coming out of these small restaurants. One such place was Dosa World. From the outside Dosa World looks like any other eatery on Brick Lane, slightly rough around the edges but with a promising menu specialising in Southern Indian food at a decent price. We entered without reservations but it appeared many patrons here do the same. The service was friendly and menu’s were given straight away. It’s worth noting that the restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol – just in case you fancy a beer.

I visited Dosa World during a recent visit to London. Being a vegetarian I was having a hard time finding food when Dosa World came to my rescue. A tiny cafe with an amazing feeling.

Staff is very polite, helpful and recommend items to try out on request. They have huge variety of dosas both vegetarian and non vegetarian, something we don't get in India. ;)

Do try out this restaurant if you're craving for warm food in videsh! Cheers :)

Outstanding dosas are hard to find but we did!! just off Brick Lane in a tiny place where room is limited but Dosas are great!! The interior is not outrageously individual but the food is served prettily. Our Dosas were absolutely fresh, well spiced if you go for the Masala one and served with a selection of dips ranging from mild to hot. All waiters are extremely friendly and talk you through the menu if you like. Vegetarians find a fantastic range of curries to chose from and all dishes throughout the menu are well-priced. We'll definitely be back for more.

Excellent food, am knocking off half a point for the dessert though, not that I expected the Payasam to be any good, but that it would have blown my mind even further if it was! Restaurant is unassuming, tucked away off Brick Lane (where Indian food goes to die), it's spotless, and inviting. The menu is LONG, and you kind of have to search around for what you want. Had a selection of dosas, a rather oniony lamb fry, and a deliciously creamy fish curry. Excellent suggestion from the waiter to get the aapams with the lamb. The staff is patient, and seems to know their stuff. Not much of a line when we arrived at 6.30 pm on a Friday, but that built steadily. New dosa staple in London for me, BYOB, with a 20% discount at the local off-licenses.

This is a great gem of a place. Ok it is a bit lacking in space, atmosphere and decor but the food is exceptional. Unlike most of the curry houses around brick lane which just pump out bog standard 'curry' for the masses, this place actually served up food made with love. Flavours are nuanced, each curry has a unique personality.

This is the most AUTHENTIC Indian place on or off Brick lane. Really solid South Indian food with some North Indian curries as well. Had the Dosa on one visit and thali on another visit. Most of the other places on Brick lane are Bangladeshi, trying to sell as Indian. Love this place!

Best South Indian Food which i had in London. The staff is very friendly and the prices are also moderate. If u love spicy south Indian food u should definitely try Rasam Vada ,which really very yummy. For Dosa, For vegetarians i would recommend Mysore paneer masala as the best Dosa which i had. Idli chilly is also good. For dessert u can try Pistacho Ice cream which is very limited but really yummy. Very superb place in BrickLane, Central London .

There are so many fake Google reviews of Bricklane indian/bangladeshi restaurants (check out all the 5 star reviews done by a person who's only ever written 1 review). Many of those restaurants have people standing outside pressuring you to go in as you browse the menu. Dosa World is the exact opposite; more of a cafe than a restaurant (no alcohol), a few no-frills tables, and kind staff who listen to you attentively and cook everything made to order (I was able to ask for coconut milk to be used in my dish) as well as an extensive menu (with lots of vegetarian options). Honest, welcoming and delicious. Thank you :)

I’m from India and I’ve had Indian food in Leicester and all over London but this is a special little place, best dosas I’ve had in the UK, also they do the best Malabar paratha and malabar chicken, besides this, the bearded man who runs the place is super friendly and warm. Will defo go back again!!!

Inexpensive, great flavour variety and gluten-free friendly. Will add as much chilli heat as requested. Special Thali, Masala & Rava dosa were delicious, too. Helpful staff on our visit.
