This is my local cafe. I love it. The coffee & the food are consistently top notch! Loving the new additions to the menu & the Nutella & cinnamon brioche buns are quite simply to die for- nom nom nom If I could give one piece of feedback it would be around the service. It’s haphazard & inconsistent. Sometimes good & others - really not. Slow & not under control. But don’t let that put you off going. It’s a fab local business, the coffee is good, the food is great & it’s a friendly & relaxed place to go. Whenever I’m home at the weekend - I’m there for brunch.

I went for supper on Tuesday evening. I was the first to arrive and the place was so cosy and inviting with the warmest of welcomes, I sat in the candlelight with a glass of wine and waited for my friends.
My whole lemon sole was a real treat, and my friend cleaned her plate of delicious risotto, whilst the mussels and frites went down a treat to.
Wine, good food, friendly service, this place is run by people who care!
So lucky we have this little gem in our neighbourhood! Love their fresh croissants, soups, carrot cake and salt beef sandwich!! I'm truly going to miss this when I head back to Florida. The food is fresh and baked daily -- Fresh juices and food that are not pretentious, but simply delicious and consistent. An always friendly staff and owner -- please open one of these in Tampa! Xx
Possibly the best breakfast in London. The Full Mustard is a thing of great beauty. Always a treat to visit - fabulous food, lovely staff and a friendly bustling buzz.
Fab to have this cafe on the corner. The Miss Piggy with avocado, poached eggs and crispy bacon is to die for. Finish off with the moist, delicious carrot cake and leave sated, happy - and addicted to the place! Lovely friendly staff too
Simple but very tasty food, great coffee and friendly, welcoming staff. Also dog-friendly - dogs are welcome inside and outside.
My favourite dish is the baked beans, potatoes and poached egg.
I feel very lucky to live one minute's walk away from this local gem. Great food, superb bread, lovely baked goods of various types, and a friendly, casual atmosphere. Oh, the coffee's good too. This is what a local cafe should be like, and having just had breakfast there again today I'm glad to see the place was pretty busy, even on a Tuesday morning.
Amazing food and great service. Brilliant brunch and top quality meat. Love it.

Great Food, Great Drink, and lovely people!!! Start my day with breakfast and a smile!
Just had a lovely full English! Food was lush, staff all very happy & friendly. The food was on the table almost straight after ordering it. Perfect!! Looking forward to a salt caramel brownie!!
Best local food I've had in quite some time! Great friendly service too
Super Service! I can't get enough of the carrot cake! Love it!
Awesome breakfast, love this place. Highly recommended
A real hidden treasure! The Mac Salmon was my choice, salmon, and poached eggs with hollandaise sauce on the most amazing sourdough I've ever had! Catered to my juice request of apple, carrot and ginger. Mum had a croissant and dad had carrot cake. My new favourite local when visiting my sister!
Recently I came across a cafe on Twitter called Cut The Mustard, which I realised was a short walk from our house in Tooting. It looked like the perfect breakfast spot, so one Saturday morning a few weeks ago, Tim and I went to try it out. Far away from the hustle and bustle of Tooting Broadway and Mitcham Road, Cut The Mustard is in a quiet residential area, where a few small shops and businesses are dotted along the road. It’s obviously a popular spot, and when we arrived the inside was pretty full, with young couples, friends and families. Luckily there were some tables outside, and it was just about warm enough to sit there, so we took a seat near to a big shelf of all kinds of breads and pastries.
Best local bakery/cafe around. Good quality coffee on offer, even got myself a bag to have at home. The sausage roll was chunky and delicious!
Great coffee and pastries and friendly staff. Visiting some family in London and found myself wandering here each morning for a latte and a croissant.
Popped in the morning on recommendation from a friend. Can confirm these pastries are next level! Quite possibly the best pastries I've ever tried in my life. Ham and cheese croissants sent from the heavens! A must try. 👌
Great pastries, amazing coffee and very friendly staff! Choc hazelnut dream is indeed a dream, it is loaded with hazelnut frangipane and very generous hazelnut crust on top but regardless it does not taste too sweet or overloaded, it is just perfect. The bakery is very reasonably priced as well.
Access is difficult as there is a 5-10 cm step at the entrance, seating inside is a bit close and tight but the table height is quite nice, you can remove the chairs and the height is great. However they do also have seating outside as an alternative.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch, the decor of the place is quite nice! The front entrance needs some work as there are some loose tiles laying on the ground but otherwise the inside is spot on!
Service was a little bit slow especially to get food out but otherwise the staff were polite and let us know that they were running a bit behind which was nice.
Their coffee and tea were pretty decent as well, not burnt and used decent beans! A definite go if you want a nice coffee!
The food was excellent, all made perfectly and presented like art, I grabbed the p.i.g, the pork belly/bacon cut was great, not too mention the potatoes with a dark chutney on top was amazing!
Only thing stopping me from giving a 5* rating is the service, otherwise it was great! A few more items on the menu would also be a nice touch!
South Londoners this cafe in Tooting is for you. Set a few streets back from Tooting Broadway is the unassuming, modern and cosy Cut The Mustard. It is a gem of a cafe that bakes unbelievably tasty sourdough in house and serves up hearty dishes. We ventured in on a Saturday afternoon for brunch.
Cut the Mustard serves North London roasters Campbell & Syme coffees – we had flat whites (£2.70) to start. A fresh carrot & ginger juice (£3.50) was also a nice zingy addition to brunch.
The menu offers a good range of options from pancakes, granola to fully cooked comforting breakfasts. We chose the latter opting for “The Priory”(£11). This is most certainly recovery on a plate – brunch SOS. The base of the dish is Ginger pig bacon lardons cooked with homemade baked beans . Cubed stacks of sliced potato with crispy exteriors sit on top with melt-in-your-mouth creamy texture – fabulous. Mingled with the soft golden yolks from 2 poached eggs was heaven. There is a great tangy homemade brown sauce on the plate too and a slice of fried sourdough. Perfect for mopping up the delish beany sauce, this sourdough is one of my faves I have had. A huge thumbs up for this dish, I could honestly eat it every weekend.
There are also a range of hearty sandwiches. We tried the 106 Sclater Street (£7.50)– salt beef smoked emmental cheese, mustard & house pickles. Using the fabulous sourdough meant this sandwich had a great base, the salt beef was generous and the pickles were lovely and sharp.
There is care and attention to every element of the dishes at this gorgeous cafe in Tooting. From the excellent sourdough (baked by the owner and a regular sell out) to the in house pickling and homemade sauces, we were super impressed. There is a friendly, laid back vibe to sit in and wile away an hour or two and we highly recommend this spot for a special brunch. The baked goods looked great too so coffee and cake is a must for my next trip.
Sweet little caf with a good coffee and amazing pastries and cakes. The cheese & marmite bun is fantastic and so is their almond cake.
Amazing pastries - wow! Esp the carrot cake! Well worth going out of your way for!
The croissants are probably one of the best I've had in London. So good🙈🥐
Great coffee, smooth and brilliant latte art. The pancakes with clotted cream, berries and granola are a must have. The Peggy was great too, perfect amount of kick with the chillis. Free parking around too.
Yummiest coffee in the area. Also a lovely setting with a great outdoor seating area in a quiet street
A really nice little cafe near home. Friendly and good service.
Great quality handmade bread and pastries in this local bakery/cafe. Built from scratch by a hard-working and passionate individual.
World class almond croissant & a great latte - strong dish, added to weekly routine
Lovely spot, it's pricey however as that saying goes "what you pay is what you get" tbh I think it's more than worth the money they do a great coffee here and the breakfasts is outta this world.
Great coffee and amazing selection of pastries!
Lovely coffee, best Almond Croissant around, delicious sourdough. Arrive early for breads as they always run out by midday. Unfortunately the staff can be very dismissive and lack interaction with customers especially with regulars.... Too cool for school!!
