Best Guinness chocolate cake ever. Super moist. Love the lemon polenta cake and blueberry friand too. They are all homemade. Coffee is really good and is roasted in the cafe. Keep up the good work, Roberto and Simone!

Brilliant cafe with the best flat whites in the area. Run by two lovely Italian guys. They roast their own coffee and serve it from a vintage Faema. Great aperativo on Friday afternoons and awesome brunches!

As part of exploring our new neighborhood, I have been trying new exercise classes and then rewarding myself with tasty brunch on weekends. Chairs & Coffee is becoming one of our favorite spots. Their menu is limited but everything is well executed and delicious, particularly their scrambled eggs on toast. Their banana bread is a must eat and their coffee is very good!

Great Coffee located in Fulham area.

The environment is cozy and comfortable. The service is quick. I had my usual espresso macchiato and cold, which was very well filtered and not too milky. It was also very tasty and pleasant. Also, their sweets looked very interesting and I tried one of their chocolate brownies, which was memorable and very soft as freshly cooked. The place is casual and prices are fine.

Check it out !!

Chairs & Coffee is a charming café which strikes me as being a real local hangout, inconspicuously nestled in the heart of Fulham.

Surprisingly, this modest coffee bar is off the beaten London coffee track: it doesn't appear on the London coffee app I use ('Coffee InTouch'), which is normally spot-on; and it's received a fairly sparse number of online reviews. The only discernible explanation for this is its newness - the place was established less than a year ago.

I say 'surprisingly' for several reasons. First and foremost, the coffee they serve up - using the 'Fazendas Bobolink' blend from East London roasting house and ethical trade advocate Union Hand-Roasted Coffee - is really good. As well as the smooth taste, their flat whites are a nice size: fairly small and not overly milky.

The cup of joe options are pretty extensive, with flatties, piccolos, cold brew, and a daily-changing drip coffee on offer, as well as all the regulars. They also stock almond milk as a dairy-free alternative, which is a great call for those who are sick of sipping on soy. And unlike many coffees made with almond milk, theirs wasn't split.

The food menu is not overly lengthy, but the brunch, lunch and sweet-treat combos they serve up in the tiny open kitchen are both delicious and innovative.

My personal favourite is the best version of 'avocado on toast' (one of the most quintessential brunch foods of recent times) I've tasted: freshly chopped - not mushed up to a guacamole-like paste, as so many cafés do - avo sits on top of thickly sliced sourdough, is doused in a lemon olive oil dressing, and then finished with chilli flakes and black sesame seeds. The sesame seeds are genius, adding a distinctive and refreshing flavour to a dish which, given its popularity and typically limited list of ingredients, is difficult to make unique.

Other interesting dishes, which I would bet good money are tasty but am yet to try (I keep going back to the avo!) include: greek yoghurt with maple syrup, carrots, walnuts and cinnamon (a sort of 'deconstructed carrot cake,' I guess); and homemade orange polenta cake served with mango sorbet. You wouldn't expect such sophisticated flavour unions at a sleepy neighbourhood café.

Chairs & Coffee's atmosphere and service more than adequately backs up its tasty food and coff. It's an airy space with rustic decor: the walls are a mixture of paint and raw brick; there's a random medley of furniture; and, in a unique touch, chairs hang from the ceiling (which isn't as weird as it sounds).

In terms of atmosphere, the café has a distinct neighbourhood feel (the last time I was there the local film school was shooting a movie) and is extremely chilled - I've sat there for several hours on a few occasions and not felt pressured to leave or to buy another flat white every few minutes. With wifi added to the mix, Chairs & Coffee is a good find in the undersaturated category of London cafés suitable for out-of-office working.

Rounding everything off is the fact that the café is run by a couple of friendly and accommodating Italian guys who do everything - barista, food, service, you name it - with a smile.

Check out Chairs & Coffee before word of this local gem catches on and the crowds flock!

THE NUTS & BOLTS:
Best for: Out-of-office working; avocado on toast
Wifi: Yes
Price of a flat white: £2.20 (on the cheap side for a good London coffee)
Dairy free options: Almond and soy milk
Address: 512 Fulham Road, London SW6 5NJ

We wanted to get a "tradional" London breakfast - three of us ordered exactly that, and my wife ordered the "Eggs Royal", none of us where dissapointed! Good portions, great flavor, our waitress (even though this was her first day) was both adorable and took care of us well. OH, the breakfast tea was very good as well. I would not hesitate to stop back by this great little resturant again for breakfast or lunch (do they serve dinner too?)

We absolutely devoured our Kale and Eggs and Scrambled Eggs with Mushroom on Sourdough and happily sipped our coffee in this quaint little cafe. Kale for breakfast? YES! The dressing was a dream! What a lovely little spot!

Definitely worth a trip out of the way, we visited for breakfast on our last day in London and were blown away. Top notch chef prepared full english breakfast, everything was prepared better than I've ever had before.

I was skeptical of the “best French toast ever” reviews but - it’s true!! We’ve eaten here a few times now and everything is always super flavourful, perfectly browned/crispy, and fresh. The portions are huge for a reasonable price and the staff is so friendly. If you eat outside, people walking by WILL turn around and check out your food. And the coffee is fantastic too. Love it!!

I just moved to this neighborhood, and have been eating breakfast at this cafe for the past 3 days. Roberto and his staff made me feel welcome and at ease with how friendly they are. It only makes their already-delicious food even more delicious. I don't think I've ever had French toast as good as theirs. And the coffee, of course, is sublime. I'll definitely be coming here regularly from now on.

When is eggs on toast not just eggs on toast? When you're at Chairs & Coffee. We stumbled across this place while walking Fulham and looking for a quick breakfast before we had to fly home. The atmosphere is very chill, especially if you're looking for a good coffee shop to work on your laptop. The staff are incredibly friendly, and service is quick. But the food...the food is awesome! I had the scrambled eggs made with truffle oil and served on toast, and I still think about them because I have never eaten more delicious eggs in my life. The potatoes were quite tasty as well, and my coffee was good. I'm literally mad I am American because now I can't come back to Chairs & Coffee without getting out my passport and getting on another flight. We will be back! :)

Found this small coffee shop and care about plates decorations, size of the food and cleanliness are the keys here. All your plates and cutlets will be touched by hygiene gloves. Never saw that in my life. Highly suggested.

Tucked away on the Fulham Rd this little coffee house is a great place to grab breakfast/brunch. The poached eggs and smashed avocado is superb and service is prompt. The owner is on site and is eager to please. A bonus is free parking at Waitrose for 1.5 hours just a stones throw away.

Had the Full English and an Americano, both were very good. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. The memorable, perhaps exceptional, part of my experience was the service of the host. He was charming, attentive, and was knowledgeable regarding the use of dairy in the kitchen. Would absolutely be coming back if I’m in the area again.
