We love Bar Esteban food is divine, lovely decor and ambience. Super staff:) One of our favourite places in CE. P.S It's always packed so reserve a table:)
Great food 🥘!!! Recomendado 💯% El Chorizo con lentejas delicioso,
Lovely food. Good service and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.
Lovely customer service, great food and value! We enjoyed a lot tonight! I wish they have a squid ink paella next time.
Fantastic food, service & atmosphere. One tiny criticism...chairs uncomfortable. I live in Kent but hope to visit again in not too distant future.
The place was packed and buzzing with conversations when we arrived.
The staff were friendly and didn't rush us.
Food was excellent as was the wine.
2nd time at Bar Esteban & the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! We had jamon croquetas, jamon Serrano, baked eggs with chorizo, sobressada with honey (heaven!), patatas bravas ...all beautifully presented & excellent!
Popped in for a spot of lunch and I was very impressed with the service and the food was well priced, delicious and perfectly portioned. Baked Eggs over Chorizo was amazing!

Great Spanish food the crispy pork is great and every choice of tapas is fantastic will come back again for sure.
Love this place. Delicious, fresh tapas; friendly, helpful staff, & a lovely vibe. It has a good wine list as well. And they keep a certain number of seats available for walk up, so you can always get a table (if you don't mind a little wait).
Edgy, attractive Spaniards, friendly and tasty food are what springs to mind when thinking about Bar Esteban. The menu is varied, and features both traditional tapas (patatas bravas, tortilla, pimientos de padron to name but a few) and dishes with a more contemporary twist.
The staff were so nice that even though we were half an hour late it did not matter. "Don't worry... come and sit down at the bar" they said. The buzzy atmosphere made us feel even more welcome.
We ordered salt cod croquetas, cecina de Leon (air-cured beef), bread basket with olive oil and aoili, pimientos de padron, coca de escalivada (flat bread with roasted vegetables), plaice with asparagus and an interesting sauce (daily special) and pincho de pollo con romesco (chicken skewers with a nut and red pepper-based sauce from Catalonia, Spain). The croquettes were wonderful. They passed, with flying colours, the test that croquettes and fish cakes must go through; does it taste of real fish or just potato that spent a brief amount of time with some fish? The beef was also great and really interesting, a little like bresaola but more smoky and although it didn't come with parmesan it had a definite hint of parmesan to it. The bread and aoili, pimientos de padron, flat bread and plaice were all very good. I especially liked the chicken as it was very succulent and the sauce was excellent.
£25 per head, wonderful food and ambience, highly recommended.
Fantastic tapas and friendly staff. From tortilla to the segovian pig it's all delicious!
Definitely one of the best Spanish restaurants in the London area. Great staff, great ambience, and outstanding food.
Charred peppers were a refreshing and light course with simple seasoning, and let you appreciate the natural sweetness of the peppers. White asparagus was perfectly cooked, tender, and perfect with the herb butter.
Iberico was sliced perfectly thin, but still burst with flavor, and only the amazing flavor of the amazing pork, nothing else. Omelet with prawns ('tortilla') was also perfectly executed, with a creaming center.
Garlic prawns were also, perfect. The flavors were amazing, the prawns were fresh and plump. Also, only the Europeans and Asians appreciate the heads of the prawns, which was left on. Dipping the bread into the prawn sauce was an absolute must.
Oxtail was not at all how I expected. All the tender oxtail meat were made into a medallion, then seared in the pan. The meat was cooked in a tomato base, full of spices, and just melted in my mouth.
The best dish of the night was the octopus. Never in my life have I had an octopus dish that the meat was so tender, it melted in my mouth. It still has a nice texture that you expected from the octopus, but not chewy. It was unreal.
Of course there was dessert. Bread pudding with orange rosemary ice cream really caught my attention, such an interesting combination. While the ice cream was not particularly creamy, the flavors worked very well. The bread pudding wasn't really bread pudding, where it was mushy. It was more like a French Toast, coated with cinnamon sugar. Perfect ending for the night.
Such a great place to visit for drinks and tapas. Couldn't fault anything on the menu. Staff were great and I honestly felt like I was out on holiday!
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, super tasty picky food, will definitely come back again soon!
Lovely food and people. The tapas are very nice and are a good size, but the bill can get quite high after adding wine and a selection of 4/5 tapas. We got there early and got the chance to pick wherever we wanted to sit. It got busy very rapidly. Very romantic setting, would recommend for a date night. Not in the immediate centre of Crouch End, but worth it.
One of the best restaurants in Crouch End. Stylish, atmospheric, and friendly, attentive service. Well selected wine menu (loved the Clandestina Xarel-lo) and the bar staff really know what they're doing with their cocktails (try the Scottish Negroni). The food is incredible; highlights include the the seabass, garlic prawns, pan con tomat, jamon croquetas.
I went in this place because my friend said to me that was ok and also because they usually have oysters.
We was in 2 on friday night and we reserved the table,we ordered 2 cocktail in the beginning and a lot of tapas.
The service was ok, nice and smiley stuff, young boys in black constantly around.
Drinks ok, the food was really delicious, good quality of everything.
The fried crougette with goat cheese and honey was amazing, i have to order it twice,
Oysters ok, ham croquet really nice, pan con tomate as well, chipirones perfect, pimiento de padron absolutly perfect as well, we order also the octopus the was soft and cooked perfectly so nice, just 6 small pieces for 13,50 pound.
They also bring to us a dessert one ganache of chocolate that was good and the Catalan cream, not was bad but just was cold and not really incredible.
The only thing is too expensive, of couse you have to pay the quality but i think they forgot that are tapas not main courses so the prices in some tapas are too high.
Anyway good place good quality i ll come back for sure and i recommend to try it.

Best Spanish omelette I've ever had in London. Runny egg in the center as a proper Spanish would cook! 10/10 for the omelette.
The rest of the food was delicious too!
And the wine, such a great choice, the Valencian one, Bobal grape from Utiel-Requena.
Great food, great service... Feels like been in Spain.
Fantastic!
Go if you have the chance, you won't be disappointed. We've eaten here 5 times now.
Always excellent food and a great ambience. The specials are so good you'll try them all.
It's a busy place so booking advised.
Gorgeous meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were lovely and every dish was delicious. If I had to pick a standout it would be the slow cooked ox cheeks, followed closely by the jamon tortilla and the bread pudding! Highly recommend!
Really excellent food, which explains why it was packed on a Saturday. Every dish was interesting and delcious, but stand outs were the cauliflower and tortilla. Will happily return.
