I really enjoy this place. Definitely my cup of tea:) Healthy and traditional food with a modern twist. As a herbal tea lover, I very often stock up and replace my tea collection from the Orange Pekoe. I always take a great recommendations from friendly and experienced staff. I look forward to my next tea adventure at the Orange Pekoe.
Absolutely wonderful afternoon tea on Mothers Day. Everything home made. Loved the sandwiches with the various different breads and antique rose tea. Superb selection of homemade cakes and warm scones with lashings of cream and jam. I could go on.
Best porridge in Barnes. And they do a wonderful Oat milk cappuccino.
Friendly helpful staff and delicious food. We stopped for lunch half way through a long walk and had an amazing Welsh rarebit and lovely tomato and basil soup with the most delicious cheesy croutons. It was a really lucky chance find.
Amazing coffee and very good service. Thank you
It was very nice place!
Definitely I come back again!!

I always enjoy my afternoon teas at Orange Pekoe. Had another great experience today. Thank you!!!
The heart and soul of Barnes with the loveliest staff!
Indulging bakery that satisfies all cravings. So delicious and freshly made . The staff is highly professional and friendly, the service is prompt and punctual always and the prices are reasonable too.
I travel a lot and every time I come home I have to go to Orange Pekoe for afternoon tea. Everything is so delicious! I recommend the curly wurly cake, but they don't always have it!
Afternoon Tea. Wanted to try afternoon tea in London but didn't want to pay 30 gbp so after some online research, found Orange Pekoe, which was also conveniently located within a walking distance.
Around 17 gbp, afternoon tea was pretty good. a lot of food and sweets (it was more than i needed)...
Orange Pekoe (pronounced Orange Pee-ko) is a quaint tea-room in Barnes - itself a beautiful part of London. They specialise in quality, loose-leaf teas from across the globe. To accompany these, they serve a lunch menu of sandwiches, soups and salads, all prepared freshly on site. They also have a range of cakes and macaroons available, as you'd hope from any good tea house. It's extremely popular during the day with mothers and families, so expect your fair share of pushchairs, children and pets, all of which add to the family-friendly, community feel of the place. There is also a small amount of outdoor seating, which will get nabbed up quickly on sunny days.
such a lovely part of barnes, and you have orange pekoe around the corner full of tea mugs, a comprehensive selection of teas from the planet earth and also some dribbling and marvellous smelling coffee. The bakery options and sandwiches are quite nice, the smoked ham and the beef & horse radish are likely to be all-time favourites.
You can either wrap yourself in warmth indoors and watch the street crowd outdoor, takeaway is available but such a cute offering deserves some time. I will definitely try the scons with jam next time!
Lovely little place. Attention to detail in interior, presentation and, of course, the tea! Cakes are to die for. It's a must.

I like this place and I would give 5 starts if the value for money was better. In my opinion there are more affordable and tasty options and this could be improved by providing more quantity in the plates. The coffee sizes are also small unfortunately

A lovely place to get breakfast, overshadowed by very highly inflated prices. It's Central London prices but not in Central London! However, the quality of the food served is very good, the service is very good, a young lady came to our table to take our orders and she delivered them along with her colleagues in great style. Atmosphere was pleasant and quite typical for this part of London, lots of dog walkers, coffee drinkers, etc.
Would we go again? Yes, possibly when we're in the area again.
The London leg of the Shakespeare Way walk brought our group of four past Orange Pekoe and we were lucky enough to get a last-minute table for lunch. Warm welcome and very efficient service and the most delicious brunch. We enjoyed sweetcorn fritters, egg shakshuka and smash avocado. Absolutely hit the spot. We practically inhaled the food on our plates! What a lovely place. Dog friendly too. We took away some red velvet cupcakes to eat as we walked on and they were amazing too. Thank you Orange Pekoe.
Doesn't matter how far away I move away from here, I will travel to this lush place. Great tea, good food, good ambience, and good customer service. I'll add this again, the tea is blooming delicious
There are vegan dessert options, breakfast and lunch as well. One of the good cafe in Barnes. I tried oat milk Flat white, raspberry peanut ball and vegan burger were very well.
So delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful and the cream tea option is easily split between two people - a large pot of tea, cream, sugar, two scones, clotted cream and fresh strawberry jam. AMAZING.
Cozy! Coffee is fantastic-strong and tasty. Very friendly people. Good snacks, sweets and sandwiches selection. Highly recommended
The best breakfast I have ever had! The staff are wonderful, kind, helpful! I wish I could visit every other day, we just leave quite far.. Looking forward to be back and try new things on the menu! Well done staff!!!
It is a very cosy place for affordable afternoon tea. I strongly recommend this place, but book first.
Warm and cosy interior but the manager is harsh and domineering. While choosing my drink the manager felt it was appropriate to berate an employee behind the bar. Extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable for both staff and customers. The other staff were friendly. My drink was good but I can't say I would go back to such a hostile environment.
Booked well in advance for a birthday tea treat. We brought our two dogs who were welcomed, we were seated in the back portion of the restaurant where there is a skylight. It’s pleasant and bright but loud as there are no sound absorbing materials and made up of all hard surfaces: marble tables, wooden chairs, wood floors. Unfortunately our table was situated right outside the very busy toilet and next to the family table. The cakes and sandwiches were fresh and tasty, as were the scones (although served cold, personal preference is warm) with homemade strawberry jam which was delicious, served in lovely porcelain. I had two disappointments with my experience: 1. The tea was served very weak without the tea leaves and therefore not a great advertisement for the teas available for purchase, I did not enjoy the tea 2. The floors were quite dirty all around, covered in debris crumbs etc. perhaps a very busy morning but could have done with a quick sweep, the rest of the place appeared clean. Although other reviewers rave about the service I’d say ours was mediocre, polite and friendly however we weren’t followed up on to see how were enjoying the tea and if we wanted any extras (I did but never got to ordering it for this reason.) Overall, it was fair value for money, and I might return to try their regular menu as the burgers looked scrumptious.
Lovely little cafe the food was excellent and so was the service
Great atmosphere // Lovely staff // Delicious and pretty coffees and teas // Salads, cakes and pastries // Must try!
Nice Afternoon Tea. Lost one star because of the lack of room on the table as there were 6 of us with 5 Teas so felt squashed! Also, no sandwiches, but glazed brioche rolls. Ok for us and delicious but might annoy some.
Cosy and yet not so cosy that you feel on top of each other. Fab coffee (in or takeaway) and all the food is thoughtful tasty and well presented. The loveliness of the staff goes without saying.
The takeaway afternoon tea was amazing, absolutely delicious! Thank you.
