Nice, friendly back street pub.. The Crown and Sceptre changed from a Fuller's Gastro Pub to a Fuller's Thai Franchise in February 09. This was due to the high proportion of Gastro's in the immediate area, so the pub tries to offer something different for it's customers. The Thai food is of a high standard, under the same management as Latimers in hammersmith. Although the kitchen is a franchise, the two blend together well, with waitress service for the food.

The pub still offers a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, with a beer garden which is great in the summer. The staff are all friendly and helpful. This pub is a back street local and although the drinks prices are slightly high, the atmosphere is worth it.

They are just starting to introduce music nights and other entertainment nights, as well as their weekly Monday Quiz night.

A huge refurbishment is planned for mid June.

Great pub! Went in for the pub quiz which was really fun, maybe a bit too fast (hard to find the time to listen to the question and answer), but otherwise great time! And the Thai food was delicious, super authentic!!

Lovely neighbourhood pub with an outdoor garden. Good selection of draughts and drinks and tasty Thai food menu with a wide range of dishes. The pub also hosts a pub quiz on Mondays

This pub is nice and quiet, with a lovely beer garden that is quaintly lit in the evening. Bar staff are friendly, as are the kitchen staff preparing and cooking up the tasty and authentic Thai dishes available. Prices are very reasonable too for Central London, around Β£5 per pint, and around Β£15 for a starter, main and jasmine rice. I'd love to come back, it's refreshing to go to an affordable London pub with a pleasant atmosphere where you can also hear yourself talk. Highly recommended

Enjoyed an afternoon meal in the gardens. It started to rain so we moved inside for dessert. Staff were attentive and the food was incredible.

Really nice atmosphere and comfortable seating arrangement. Each person in my group tried something different from the menu and every dish was delicious. Bar was a little expensive but drinks were lovely and plenty of selection. Dog πŸ• friendly!

The Crown & Scepter is one of those rare backstreet neighbourhood pubs that survived the storm of closing pubs across the country through sheer quality. The reasons it survived are its amazing quality authentic thai cuisine, its great range of beers and its large and comfortable in and outdoor spaces. Its also typically not completely packed out allowing for drop in visits in a time of having to book ahead, even on a Friday night. I would recommend anyone in the area to take the extra steps to visit.

This Fuller's managed pub is just on the outskirts of Shepherd's Bush. As a fan of the 1980's BBC series 'Give Us A Break' this was a must visit and did not disappoint. Although the interior has changed significantly since then it is very smart inside plus the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The London Pride was spot on and the food was an extensive Thai menu. Had the Mixed meat Pad Kee Mao with was full of flavour and was a good portion for the price. A fantastic hidden gem in the back streets of Shepherd's Bush
