We ordered food and drinks from Deliveroo, and unfortunately the drinks spilled during delivery and the driver has agreed to redeliver it back. However, Deliveroo has refused to redeliver it back because it claims that the drinks do not exceed the minimum amount, which is ridiculous because it's not our fault! However, the customer service from Cafe Mama Pho is remarkable. The staff is friendly, keep apologising to us when it was not her fault. Without us knowing, one of the chef was actually willing to deliver the drinks to our place! Thank you so much for your hospitality, and yes, the food is awesome. We ordered Com Cha Gio Thit Nuong (rice with grilled pork) and also
Cha Gio (spring roll! the best!). Che Tai is the drink you have to try if you are durian lovers!
Such a shame that whenever we want to come here to eat before going to the cinema there is always a massive queue.
So we came here after the rush hour and the quality of the soup was amazing still and makes it the reason you want to come back time after time. The only problem I had this time was the chicken wings slightly more overdone than I like but the other half loved it none the less.
The beef stew was a bargain and proper meaty and didn't congeal unlike another place we tried. Overall with a bill of just over £30 for a satisfying meal for 2 including drinks you can't ask for more!!
One of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants around! One of best in London & good value for money & good portion size! Definitely recommend
我非常喜歡吃這間越南餐館的餐,原因係去過好多間其他的都覺得不及這間好,而且是他們不會隨便上菜,沒有偷工減料,服務唔差,值得去的一間好餐館!
The food was amazing. Spicy as requested and definitely value for money!
Great pho and spring rolls! Like being back in Aus!
Amazing food, friendly staffs and definitely the best Pho in town!
Flavours were amazing! Will definitely come back !

My fav Vietnamese restaurant ever!
Worth the money!
They defo don’t play when they say large... they mean LARGE! loved it! If you got a big apetite and want something not too expensive then go for the large pho bowls!
Delicious pho place if you are looking for something cheap and quick. The noodles were very fresh and 'bouncy' - welcoming staff and very clean and hygiene kitchen by the looks of it!
It has recently been renovated. The environment is more comfortable and cosy. It seems that there has been a change of owner. The food is better than before. There is a choice of small or large portion. The rice pastry with pork is as good as I have tried in Montreal China Town.
The place is quite small and packed so get ready to queue and sit close to other people. I had Pho, the crispy pancake and tried a bit of the rice and pork dishes and they're all very tasty. My favourite dish is the rice and pork dish which has Vietnamese meatloaf, bit of pork scratching and grilled pork.
I was missing the Vietnamese flavours so predominant in Melbourne,Australia, so I thought I'd seek out somewhere local. I was not disappointed. The food was quick, fresh and reasonably priced and they even had the special tapioca and sweet bean drinks which I enjoy eating because of all the colors and textures. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was that they didn't serve any Vietnamese beer. Fabulous little place. We would definitely go again.
Love this place. Best pho i've tasted in London especially at the price. Quick, fresh, fragrant and spicy. Nice friendly service. Bright lights and basic decor. This place is about the eating. You won't feel like chatting much once the chillies have started to kick in....
The sister restaurants of Cafe East, Mama Pho is a more informal, laid back cafe-style restaurant, where dishes are chosen from a remarkably (and reassuringly) small menu. I can't say the Pho here is miles better than most of the Kingsland Road offerings, but I really, really enjoyed the Bun Bo Xao, with its intense, nutty and savoury flavours lifting the beef dish in a way that I hadn't come across at any of its peers. One of the better Vietnamese restaurants I've been to and certainly one of the best restaurants in the Surrey Quays area. Be sure to come early though, as there aren't many seats and it is very popular at times!
Nice little Vietnamese restaurant with such delicious food!
Portion sizes were great and for the main dishes, you can choose to have it between jasmine rice not noodles.
I have to say my favorite thing in all the dishes we ordered was the fish sauce! 😂😂
10/10 highly recommend this place if you’re ever in the SE area!!
I would highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes on their menu!
This has been one of the most extraordinary Vietnamese cafe. The food was excellent, everything tasted amazing. Very cool atmosphere and the staff are very friendly, helpful and pretty. I definitely will be back again soon. I highly recommend it.... Thank you for the amazing food. 😋🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗.... I have been there 2 times and I can't believe the food tested better and better which evrey bite, I still can't believe how good the food tastes. My brother was amazed by the taste of the food that we had. I hope I will be able to go back again soon. Thank you so much for your cooking skills and kindness. I highly recommend it again and forever., 😊😍🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
A small quaint Vietnamese restaurant and very packed for an Easter Monday! Can’t tell whether the food is authentic or not but it was decent. The Bun Cha had a good portion of pork and was flavorful but the spring rolls weren’t our fav and the Banh Xeo was lacking seasoning - other than that it was good!
Fan of Pho? This is THE place to have some. The dishes are beautifully fresh and oh so tasty. At peak times there can be a queue outside but the wait doesn't tend to be long. If you're in the area then get to Cafe Mama Pho and you won't be disappointed.
everything was good!
defo worth the price and with good quality!
unexpected crispy “crepe”,
the broth is lovely with many ingredients,
beef stew a little too salty but goes well with rice
The food is absolutely amazing! The beef stew and grilled pork with lemongrass were top. The people who served us are very friendly. We would definitely return to the restaurant 👌🏼
Stumbled upon this place quite randomly but yeh, really good and fresh. Seated promptly, served with a smile. For starters we had the spring rolls and tofu rolls. The dipping sauce with the tofu rolls was well nice. For mains I had the flash fried tofu with noodles. Usually I don't like tofu because it isn't seasoned enough. But yeah wasn't the case, these were packed with flavour. One of my mates had the Vietnamese Coffee and said it was good. Thanks!
Super authentic Vietnamese food been here twice and it never disappoint ! Great service, no booking needed and good athmosphere too. Totally recommend it ! Always 10/10 !

Update a month later: They have changed the broth and I'm disappointed, now the soup lacks depth and barely had any of those aromatics I mentioned before.
Pho: Not only they follow the authenticity of Vietnamese Pho taste, they also added their own spin in the Beef broth. Love the added aromatics and fattiness that enriches it so much more in depth.! Chicken Pho is very good as well, only if there were more fattiness like skin and chicken oil that would be more authentic, but this is UK so I understand.
Don't bother ordering any starters cuz none of them were good.
Authentic yummy Vietnamese food in South East London. One of the must go with my Asian friends
Cafe Mama Pho is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in London.
I discovered this place by accident and what a place!
I will recommend their Pho, the best on the menu so far. The mango salad is delicious and you can combine them with some spring rolls.
The curry was ok, not the best one but still delicious.
The place is small but charming and the service is excellent.
A cute little cafe with a homey atmosphere Great food at really good prices! You can get a small or large portion of most mains, we went for small and it was definitely not small!
The Vietnamese coffee was really good as well!
I like Vietnamese foods.
Mama Pho used to be good, it can be better.
I would highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant. The food is amazing, good value for money and the staff are friendly. The only issue is that it can be hard to find parking and the space in the restaurant is quite small and cramped.
Cafe Mama Pho (Deptford branch) is a little Vietnamese cafe serving freshly prepared Pho, summer rolls and special Vietnamese special drinks, etc. The staff are passionate and friendly. Delicious takeaway is also available. Highly recommended dish: grilled lemongrass pork and spring roll noodles salad.
Incredible food, Summer rolls and Pho are the best I have had in London. Service and attention to detail regarding dietary requirements were excellent! Very reasonable price for high quality food and service.
Cute little Vietnamese restaurant near Surrey Quays. All phos come in two sizes and the person of a small one (picture) is already enough.
