My first meal in the UK after a long flight was at Spaghetti house. I enjoyed my take away.. Great thanks to the staff for their attentiveness

This is by far one of the best restaurants in London. The chef prepares authentic southern Italian dishes and the service is first rate. The wine selection is adequate, the deserts are artfully presented and the lilly espresso is a delicious finisher to a 5 star meal. Don't go anywhere else in London, they can't even make a sandwich in the place where it was invented. I wish we had this restaurant in my hometown back in the US.
Pasta pasta. Rate this place in London for the marathon and hotel I was staying at recommend this place for pasta. Nothing flash however a huge selection of fantastic pasta at a great price....can't beat it, back again tomorrow...
I actually had speedy service here and fairly inexpensive by London standards. Although spaghetti was not exceptional, the sauce was simple and tasty and hit spot. Nice to sit out on a summer's day.
The food is good and expected for a typical Italian restaurant. The place is cosy and warm. One thing is the Italian waitor is very nice and friendly. Recommended to try.

The Holborn Spaghetti house may not look like much from the outside and may never look too filled up either. However, as they say, don't judge on appearance. To my great surprise, when I finally got myself to go, I was served excellent food which pushes me to say today that SH does not deserve its reputation (which is to have none).
Last time I went, my Father and I shared a spaghetti meatball dish served directly from the searing pan (great little addition by the way, a searing pan! This really strengthens the sensation you are eating a home cooked fresh meal).
Let me be very clear: the pasta was really good. What was particularly striking in this case is that it was flawlessly cooked. Whilst many will argue it is not too difficult to prepare a tomato spaghetti dish (half of England cooks "spag bol" every week), I will argue that it is never easy to get your pasta timing exactly right. Let me tell you, there was something about Spaghetti House's pasta which still makes me remember it over a year later. The Chef may have got lucky but to me there was a lot more behind it. (My guess, the chef cooking the pasta was actually from Italy and probably got given a secret ingredient by his grandmother).
Another positive at SH is the lovely Italian service on offer. To have a smiley, friendly and efficient waitress looking after you always makes a difference.
Negatives to this restaurant are mainly its look - in all fairness is does look a bit run down.
My advice: great call for WELL COOKED spaghetti!

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. We all highly recommend each of the dishes we had - bruschetta, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti and meatballs, penne arrabiata and gorgonzola pizza. Service was quick and staff were friendly without being overbearing. Thank you for a nice evening out!
Don't be fooled by the simple, basic décor. The pasta here is incredible! Like being back in Italy and extremely quick. Not the most comfortable restaurant and drinks could be improved but if you crave spaghetti then this is the place to go!!
Very good Italian food, I've had slightly better, but for a cosy straight forward Italian street restaurant, this was good. Family of three were served quick and politely, food was very fast! The Lasagna was excellent, Tagliatelle Bolognese was good, and the Diavola pizza was fine too. A bit of a "squeeze"/tight fit for our daughters wheelchair, but all in all a very pleasant place. Recommended!

Really good, authentic Italian, good service
Visiting from U.S. and was looking for dinner nearby our hotel. The menu looked good and it was close so we gave it a try. The food was amazing! Some in our group had pasta dishes that they very much enjoyed. I had one of the pizzas and it was delicious! The crust was freshly made. We ended up ordering dinner from here one more before we left the city. Highly recommended!
A lovely spaghetti house just off the beaten path. Great food..lovely setting.
I've came to try their vegan options. They had a few including pasta, ravioli, pizza and a few starters. I took their pasta in tomato sauce and basil. The food came extremely fast and the sauce was really good. The only down side they don't accept cash, only credit.
The food was quality, really nice fresh pasta and the seafood was excellent.
The staff were really nice and quite funny! I enjoyed my time here. I will definitely come again.
The interior and exterior was a bit dated and could do with a good clean up. Just a bit dusty and dirty windows.
