One of the best places I've ever been. Not only it's filled with character, the people there are extra nice and perfectly matching the space. The food and drinks were wonderful. So much so we had to go back with the whole family! Not to be missed!

Being the oldest pub in Notting Hill, you'd expect them to be the most "unique", and they certainly were. The Sun in Splendour reminded me of Espresso Royale in Boston. It has it's own style, it's young, it's

Buzzing little pub at the end of Portobello road. We grabbed a table for dinner on their back patio - not a fancy spot by any means but a good place to enjoy fresh air on a warm September evening. Service was friendly and attentive and food was first-rate. Would definitely come back.

Came here for a Sunday Roast lunch after walking around Notting Hill. Waited a bit for them to open at noon. Food was great, serving portions were large.

The food was delicious, my mom is does not like fish but she still loves the fish and chips, the waitress was very sweet, the burger I bought was also great, it was filled with meat, cheese and crispy bacon, my dad got the pie and it looked very good, if you are near you should definitely eat here, the garden looked very nice and the menu was big but not so much that you could not pick what to eat, also good music! 11/10

We enjoyed a Sunday dinner here. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious - I had the chicken, ham and leek pie. Prices were reasonable.

One of the best pub I’ve ever had!! I just dropped by to have a fancy Aperol spritz but this restaurant satisfied me to fully enjoy it’s fish and chips. Strongly recommend to visit..no must visit this restaurant to enjoy the market and London atmosphere.

A really nice place located at the start of Portobello road as you head down towards all the antique shops and market. Very nice interior, cosy and warm. Went on a Saturday afternoon so, as you can imagine, busy was an understatement. We were told no tables were available but as we were only have a quick drink we got a reserved table which we left before the reservation arrived. Drinks were nice and typical London prices. I've been here a few times over the years and the staff are generally friendly and welcoming, you could tell they were under pressure this visit though, a combination of time of the week, location and victim of their own success. Nice place, definitely worth a visit but might be best to go during off peak times unless you've reserved a table.

The bright yellow facade brightened up an otherwise dull day, especially when we walked in without a reservation and they accepted us gladly. This cosy pub became very busy in no time and it was extremely rewarding to watch the rain outside from the comfort we were in. The service we received was always pleasant & the food hearthy and abundant. Would recommend the Sun In Splendour pub any day

We came to this pub because it has bright yellow colour exterior that hard to miss. Their Sunday Roast is great, but the Eton Mess is not good. It have only cream with very little biscuit.

This pub was a spontaneous choice for two reasons: the "secret" court and fish and chips. Both of them were good choices! Even the service was a little slow, the food was great, and the beer excellent! Not crowded, was a peaceful and relaxing place to have dinner. Recommended!

The day certainly brightens-up when you see this pub! Definitely a lot quieter than it would have been over the late-August Bank Holiday weekend, when the Notting Hill Carnival was raging outside! Very attractive pub, both inside and outside, but absolutely no real ales available on the afternoon of my visit. Friendly staff, but my preference would be for more ale options.
