I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kish Restaurant, and despite the busy atmosphere, I was impressed with the overall experience. The staff went out of their way to find us a table, and their friendliness and helpfulness were much appreciated.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was appealing. The menu offered an excellent variety of options, catering to various dietary preferences.
However, I would be remiss not to mention one aspect that fell short of expectations - the cleanliness of the bathroom. Unfortunately, I found it to be quite dirty during my visit. This was incongruent with the otherwise impressive standards at Kish Restaurant and could be a setback for those who value cleanliness in dining establishments.
Despite this minor setback, I highly recommend Kish Restaurant for its exceptional food and welcoming staff. The minor issue with the bathroom should not overshadow the overall experience, as it did not hinder our enjoyment of the delightful meal.
I look forward to returning to Kish Restaurant in the future and hope they address the cleanliness concern in their otherwise outstanding
Wow, I was totally blown away by this place! I've been living in Kilburn for 20 years but this was my first visit to Kish. Food was amazing, portions very big and service super friendly. Will definitely be back.
The mix grill for 2 which would have easily fed 3 adults. Fried aubergine was really flavoursome and meat very tender.
Authentic Persian food, very delicious and tasty, variety of dishes of the traditional Persian cuisine.
Loved everything from the freshly made salad to the delicious soups, in-house made bread (naan) to the fresh tender well maid dishes either chicken or meat.
The restaurant atmosphere is nice, with indoor and outdoor dining, welcoming staff.
I visited the place twice in this trip, they lost a star for the service in my second visit for the slow careless service; otherwise, the restaurant deserves 5 stars rating.
One of the highlights of Kish Restaurant is its incredible menu. Bursting with authentic Persian flavors, each dish is meticulously prepared using high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. From aromatic kebabs and succulent grilled meats to flavorful stews and fragrant rice dishes, Kish offers a wide range of options to satisfy all palates. Just simply wow. The best Persian restaurant I have been to. I was in London on a day trip with my family and this restaurant came highly recommended.
They did not disappoint….quite simply the mixed grill and the Kaboodah kebab were the best I have ever tasted & the mint lemonade was amazing. Meal was finished with the most amazing tasting Kava (back tea).
This meal comfortably fed 3 adults and 3 children
Thank you Kish for such a great end to a very tiring day
If there is only 1 thing….comes with too much rice a lot wastage
So, I read a lot of the reviews on here and decided to take a chance on Kish.
Like many others, it’s right across the street from our hotel, the Marriott.
There’s a lot of 5 ⭐️ reviews for the food, and I agree that the food is definitely 5 stars. I didn’t find it to be too expensive, but being from the USA, I’ve found most things to be cheaper in the UK.
I ordered the hummus with a basket of naan. There was A LOT of naan! Like 12 pieces! When I order naan in the US, I get 4 pieces. My husband ordered the chicken soup. It was very good. We both got a glass of wine. They are generous with their portions.
For dinner I ordered the chicken kabobs. My husband ordered the chicken and lamb kabobs. They came with saffron jasmine rice and a small salad. It’s a lot of rice! I couldn’t even eat half of it. Everything was very tasty.
The only issue we had was that after the meal we never saw the waiter again. He never came back. We were never offered water, another glass of wine, dessert, coffee, the check, a to-go box, NOTHING. Eventually I asked another waitress if we could please get the check. I saw her go over to our waiter who was by the front, point to us and tell him. Neither he, nor her, nor anyone else ever brought us the check?!? I don’t know what is going on with this place. I told my husband, “Maybe we will get his attention if we start to leave!” So we got up and went to the front. Still, nothing. So we had to ask the gentleman at the front if we could pay. He finally obliged us.
Honestly, if you’re going to purposefully ignore your customers for so long I would not be shocked if some people were to walk out on you. Not saying it’s ok but you don’t exactly act like getting paid is important to you. It seemed like a huge inconvenience for us to pay! We must’ve waited at least 20-25 minutes to pay the bill. For this reason alone I give service 3 stars. But before this everything seemed fine. Very strange.
Altogether our bill was £58 including their 12.5% gratuity.
I would recommend ordering to go so you don’t have to deal with the staff since others have also complained about the staff being rude.
We were there Yesterday and we ordered Ghorme Sabzi stew and Checken Kabab with Rice and Gheyme bademjan Stew and Kabab Barg , They were all fascinating and delicious. On the top of that what an amazing service and care! Totally recommended.
Genuine Persian food and not your average taste ! Great for those who want to experience flavour without much spice. So soft and juicy off the bone lambs neck with the beautiful rice was just scrumptious.
I had the best time here on my birthday the food was amazing and the staff was amazing the food was delicious I got the platter with rice for 5 people. I would recommend everyone to come here with their friends and family
💎 Absolutely a hidden gem! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, special shout out to Farzan.
The food tasted great, great portions and quality all around.
They have wide desert collection, will visit again.
Stopped by for an early dinner today. Ordered the mix grill for two, and Mirza ghasemi. The kebabs were delicious, the rice fragrant and the naan was so light and crispy. Friendly people and amazing service too. We will be back very soon.
Amazing food! I’ve never ate so much in my life. From appetisers ‘mirza ghazemi’, ‘olovieh’, ‘kash va bademjoon’ are the ones you should not miss out on, they come with freshly baked Iranian bread. Kebabs and stews are all top notch. We were assisted by Milad and he was the loveliest person! This is the place to go if you come to London
This is my usual to go for special events/meeting up with my friends and family. I always enjoyed this establishment that I have visited over 10+ times so far. I was happy with the food, the chicken and their traditional rice is always spot on and my friends throughly enjoyed hers also. However, she ordered the yogurt drink which I am familiar with and I am certain of what the taste is meant to be and I found that I strongly feel that we were given an alternative which was their mint sauce that’s served on the table upon first arrival. I had raised this issue with our waitress who understood and replaced it quickly and the second thing I had spotted is that they now charge an additional £3.50 for added on barberries for their rice. I hadn’t known this as I assume this is a new rule for them & had to ask before paying the bill.
Great cuisine (large portions), excellent service and atmosphere.
Will certainly go back
Nice place with excellent staff and service, will definitely go again.
Food is fabulous and really good value for money, especially considering the location. Even better atmosphere post refurbishment. Cakes are also heavenly. We keep on returning whenever we are in London
The food is really good, we tried a plate named “momtaz” also another dish that is a hot starter but forgot its name with an eggplant, it’s really good. The Iranian tea was great too! The staff are friendly and really nice, we were served by two nice ladies named Lida and Fahima.
Although it was raining and I knew the place for a few years. Now with the new expansion it looks Grand for the standards of Kilburn but it is just on the beginning of Kilburn High opposite the big Hotel. So I enjoy the meal, I sat outside to see the rain but staff considerate to my well being. The Cardamon tea was delicious after my meal. I only would like that they could bring along with the tea a small sweet as other place give at courtesy. Overall I recommend and I will return with friends. A nice outdoors to have tea with friends or breakfast. Thank you.
First time at Kish and we decided to try the breakfast since not many Iranian places serve it.
The restaurant is reasonably large, there a cakes a pasties display as you enter. The highlight of the breakfast menu for me as an expat was the Halim (slow cooked porridge with shredded lamb, served with melted ghee and cinnamon sugar). Eggs and Persian sausage were amazing as well and come with baked to order bread. Portions are very generous so make sure you arrive hungry.
Service is friendly and polite. I’ve experienced a lot of small talk with waiters in other Persian establishments, not at Kish, which is a welcome relief. To top it off they have a hygiene rating of 5.
