Meet Fresh offers a great range of really the fantastic sweet flavours of Taiwan. I combination of refreshing and fresh ingredients made to your liking - hot or cold. This is a great place to just sit down, socialise and soak up the energy while enjoying their delicious Taiwanese desserts that you don’t often find in many locations.
The day we went, it was packed to the brim. People lining up from the outside. Although, the last thing people want to do on a busy night in London is to line up for anything. However, from the outside looking in and the smell that were perfuming the air we could not resist. The staff we very welcoming, friendly and patient with us considering just how busy it was at the time. After ordering, it didn’t take long for us to get our bowl and it was the perfect amount to shame amongst three people. I wasn’t familiar with some of the ingredients and the combinations but that’s part of the experience of being there and being able to try something new. I was very surprised at how the flavours and textures worked so well together to create the perfect spoonful each time.
I see myself going back there and trying out their extensive menu as they have a lot to offer. This is a highly recommended and sought after dessert spot to visit.
This is a sort of desserts underworld to me. I came with friends who introduced me to the wild menu and I think I loved pretty much everything I tried. The flavours felt new, the presentations are crazy and nothing was 'standard' to me, which I really liked.
Fantastic desserts and explosive flavours.
Delicious cooling dessert 🍨 Really liked all the different chewy mochis included and it’s enough for at least 3 people! Though I think it’s a bit pricey.
The place is really busy during the weekend so it might be better to go during weekdays?
But I recommend trying this place at least once! 🍡
Tried multiple times. Still my favourite is signature icy grass jelly. The red bean soup is nice too but prefer more red beans in the soup.
- deluxe coconut sago £9
this is the uk's only meet fresh branch and with its prime location in the heart of london, it is no surprise that it often gets very busy! luckily we came late-afternoon on a tuesday so it was much quieter.
the service was quick and efficient, as we received our food within less than 5 minutes of ordering. we ordered the 'deluxe coconut sago' which comes with: coconut sago, ube, taro, sweet potato balls and purple glutinous rice. we enjoyed the dessert and the range of toppings all worked well together. the portion was decent too, as it was shared between 3, but i still feel like £9 is quite steep for the quality. it was served lukewarm, rather than hot, which means it wasn't made fresh. i understand the ingredients are pre-cooked bc this is necessary to get orders out quickly especially when it can get very busy but charging almost £10 for a dessert that has essentially just been reheated is a bit unreasonable.
Q mochi is always our favorite. Tried other menu but this is the best choice! Giving 4 stars because it’s £15. Quiet expensive for a dessert. I really love the mochis and the big tapioca balls are now filled with black sesame instead of taro paste 👍
There are some negative reviews make me a bit worry but my experience turns out to be ok. The signature grass jelly tastes good, not as good as in Taiwan, but I think this might be the best they can do in the other side of the world, so give 5 stars. The clear downside is the environment, it needs to be cleaned better...
Ordered the signature Icy Grass Jelly with Taro balls and creamer. It was amazing honestly. Been craving for this kind of dessert. Not too sweet and a very nice quencher for the heat. It is on the expensive side though at £9-10.
There are loads of seating area on the basement as well.
I’m so sick seeing people ordering the wrong stuff!! Get Q mochi guys! I think this is the best dessert you can get in chinatown! Look how amazing it is! Try and you will never order other things and give it a like if it review is accurate
The mochi is out of this world. This is one of the best dessert places I’ve ever been to and my friends; and I were surprised at how low the rating is.
The long queue speaks for its quality. Delicious desserts! They have a variety of cold (with shaved ice) and hot dessert options. The dessert base is sort of similar I guess, so the only thing you need to do is choose from its wide array of toppings (our favourite is the chewy taro ball and grass jelly). And don’t forget to mix the creamer in it! The dessert bowl usually comes with creamer on the side, and adding it will change the whole game. Absolute perfection!!
Pretty tasty desert bowls however they are on the pricey side. EXTREMELY fast service! This place is usually pretty packed but they have plenty of seating. Staff are ok, seating places are clean and tidy majority of the time. Boba tea isn't spectacular so i'd recommend their desert bowls most. Perfect place for a hot summer's day, their shaved ice will definitely cool you down! (A slightly cheaper alternative for shaved ice/bingsoo/deserts in Chinatown is Candy Cafe)
This is a great place for sitting down with a friend and having some yummy drinks and desserts. For a place in Central London, they've managed to create enough space with their store layout, for a reasonable amount of tables and chairs for people to actually be able to stay in and feel cosy. I love their little upstairs area with sofas! The people who worked there were very friendly! They gave us advice on which dessert to pick and even gave us tasters to see what the different toppings tasted like! We got purple potato drinks with boba and a shaved ice bowl with lots of toppings! We were very comfortable and cosy while we stayed in, and never felt rushed (as is the case in so many Central London cafes and restaurants!). I'd definitely visit this place again! I've been to their Montreal branch as well and only have good things to say about that location a well. Thank you for a positive and cosy visit, and yummy desserts!
Really cool setting and great costumer service. Their peanut butter and sesame mochi was absolutely delicious. Very flavourful bubble tea - taro and mango boba is a must try. There's also a decent variety of flavours and it's reasonably priced. Definitely one of my favourite bubble tea place in London!
