Recently opened near Streatham Hill station and opposite M&S is 'Bunk Burgers'. We went here for a late lunch and were not disappointed! The ambience is welcoming and service attentive. First the food. There is a great choice of burgers including options for non-meat eaters, the ‘Allotment’ (with Portobello mushroom) or the ‘Marina’ for fish eaters. Our eyes were bigger than pour stomach, we had the signature ‘Bunk Burger’ that consisted of two wholesome beef patties, tomato, red onion, cheese, sauce, gherkins and turkey bacon. Plus, we ordered a side of slaw and one fries and one sweet potato fries. It was far too much. Just one of the 6oz Aberdeen Angus patties would have been ample with the sides! The food all seemed to be cooked to order so it’s not a fast food joint, saying that it did not seem like we had to wait for long and it really well and thoughtfully presented. I must say something about the restaurant space which was previously two small shops which were restored back to one big space. The thing that is easy to miss is the original ceiling of the store which is quite something for it to have survived so many changes of use over the years. The other thing that strikes you – should you look up – is just how tall these shops were built to be. In most stores along the High Road there are false ceilings and you can’t see the previous grandeur; with the exception of Pratts and Paynes bar and restaurant further up towards Streatham station. Such a satisfying lunch with the family at this relaxing establishment. We don't usually finish the fries, but the piri piri fries here is just addictive... we can't stop eating! Bursting with flavour. Beef burger was just ok. Hot dog and fish burger were fine. Waffles was delectable... yummy. Decided to buy chicken for dinner... looking forward to another amazing dining experience.

I found Burger Bunk in Streatham while I was the area for meeting on 18th of April 2018, reasonably priced. We were seated right away and greeted by our server within just a few minutes. Drinks came out fast, then we ordered our meal and it seemed that it took a little longer than usual but we received our food about 25-30 minutes after ordering. The burgers were cooked to perfection and were juicy and delicious! Their specialty fries were a hit too! Our server was very pleasant and apologetic for the delay in receiving our food. He explained that they were working short staffed that day. Overall a very good experience and would definitely return.

Great meat! Succulent, nicely cooked and very tasty. Not too fat, not too heavy, very nice hamburger. French fries not greasy but crispy and properly cooked. The owner kindly asked whether we enjoyed the meal. Industrial decor. Very pleased with my choice.

Beautifully designed trendy modernised look. Food was delicious chips was just chips as good as it gets. Wings a bit disappointing. But overall experience fab. Recommend this place.

Best fish burger ever. I always get the Marina as it's better than any beef burger I've ever had, and the best fish burger I've ever had. Crispy fillet with a tangy red cabbage coleslaw. It's so satisfying. I highly recommend it if you're trying to avoid beef but still want a good burger experience. Those complaining about Bunk being cash only makes me sad... there's a cash point literally 30 seconds down the road! You order, go to withdraw cash, then come back. How lazy could you be?

With gourmet burger spots popping up everywhere it's hard to find one that's distinct from the others, this one is definitely that! An cut above the rest. Definitely worth a try.

It is a very nice food place and environment. The owner is a petrolhead. The lady who served me was very friendly and kind. The service for takeaway was quick and prompt. The burger quality was really good and is worth the price I paid. The cheesy fries was nice as the cheese was running through it so it is very rich. The fries could be more crunchy but then takeaway can have that effect. The berry mock tail is really nice but only thing is it is very sweet so maybe dial the sweetness down. Overall a worthwhile experience will head back to eat indoors.
