🚇 Chiswick Park
🍺 £5.55 Pravha
❤️ A sizeable contemporary W4 pub.
.
The Crown & Anchor is located on Chiswick High Road and just opposite the war memorial on Turnham Green. The nearest tube is Chiswick Park which will take you a five minute walk to get here.
.
This pub first opened its doors in 1824 and was rebuilt in 1936. This establishment started life as a Youngs pub, there is a Young’s lamb motif above the corner entrance to the pub. Today the pub is owned and run by the food and drinks giant Mitchells and Butlers.
.
This is sizeable bright and airy boozer which has two distinct sections. At the front as you walk in is the main drinking area which has lots of poser tables and TV’s which show live sports. At the rear is an area geared up for punters who either want to dine or want a more laidback pub experience. The decor here is contemporary with neutral tones, huge brass framed mirrors, dark Georgian style panelling and stylish lighting.
.
The beer choice was broad, there were two cask ales a host of familiar keg options and lots of craft available in cans and bottles. We kept it simple and ordered a couple of Pravha’s. Our pints were top drawer and price point was good. As this was our last pub of the day, some pub grub was much needed. We ordered Fish and Chips with a Calamari chaser. The food was great, we really enjoyed it and portion size was ok. The Fish & Chips cost £16.50 and the Calamari £7.50. Hats off to the member of staff who checked to make sure we were happy with our food.
.
We arrived around 5pm and the pub was quiet inside with a few punters dotted around. The majority of patrons were outside the front of the pub lapping up the Easter weekend sunshine. There was a nice relaxing feel to this pub, I can imagine when busy it would be a buzzy place.
.
The @crownandanchorw4 was a pleasant visit and one we really enjoyed. The beer was on point, the food was great, ambiance relaxing and the service was good. This is a good pub to visit what ever the occasion.

Had some good food here. Rather limited on cask ale offerings but the St Austell Tribute was in excellent condition.
Amazing service, fab food and great atmosphere. Pic of nachos half eaten as they were too good to stop and take a pic
We recently had a party upstairs for about 40 guests. The room is lovely, and we were given plenty of access to arrange and decorate. The team before and on the night were great at accommodating our requirements so the event was stress free. Our guests really enjoyed the range of sharing plates & there was plenty. Will certainly be booking again.
We didn’t eat hence no stars or review for food. But this was my first visit and the pub has a really lovely atmosphere with amazing attentive staff: Julie recognised me as a visitor to a previous pub she worked in and was incredibly welcoming. Will definitely visit again!
Great pub on Chiswick High Road, on the green and between the church, school and town hall - Central and relaxed. Highly recco the fish and chips! Enjoy stiiting on the terrace and watching Chiswick go by on a lazy sunny weekend. Richard served really well but all the staff are helpuful and nice.
Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Made us feel very welcome. Was child friendly. Julie very happy and friendly and gave good vibes. Will definitely come again.
Such a nice little pub in the heart of Chiswick. They show football on multiple screens so sport lovers will love the bar area and so will families and friends looking for a chill evening in the comfortable back area. All the small plates are delicious, I especially love the Korean fried chicken bites and the pardon peppers 😋. The staff is amazing and the quizzes on Thursdays are so much fun!!! High recommend
Anya, Gina and Julie were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. Attentative to all my my needs as a customer. The fish and chips are to die for.
A very happy customer indeed.
I will ve returning ASAP!
A great Young's pub in the heart of Chiswick. Great beer and great service. This is a real relaxing place for a beer or whatever else you may like to drink. The menu is compact but we'll thought out and they run an open kitchen which suggests an air of confidence. A most enjoyable drink, thank you.
I’ve only had chips here that’s why my food rating is low. Great atmosphere, good sports. They also have air conditioning. Julie and Gina were amazing.
What a fab find! From the bustling high street to calmness! Such a warm welcome from Richard when I arrived and the other staff were all very friendly and attentive.
Great selection of Gins and ales. Lots of offers on various drinks. The food looked amazing with plenty of choice, didn't eat myself, but those that did cleared their plates!
Decorated to keep the buildings originality. Loads of tables some you can watch live sports from, which is what I did today, tables at the back of the building are quieter and no doubt just as popular.
As a lone female I felt very safe in there, as I'm sure anyone would.
If I'm ever visiting the area again I will definitely go back!
Always great for karaoke, a great local pub, very friendly staff, and always have a blast when karaoke is on, am sure the food is fab, I go there to really perform for Chiswick and chill with my pals, fantastic location 😀
i love this place! very friendly staff, and the food is great too, come here all the time for a cozy night out. the nachos and Camembert are my fav, both sooo tasty :)
We had a wonderful day here for a birthday - great area for a long table with big groups 🥂 Lovely menu & staff.
Excellent service, very friendly and fun staff, delicious food (some of the best I've had) great selection of drinks and LGBTI+ friendly.
Staff are wonderful, food delicious, great selection of drinks especially low alcohol options.
Music is loud sometimes and had to ask the bartender to put it down.
