La oportunidad de probar un sancocho después de tanto tiempo! gracias por el buen trabajo que hacen en este restaurante, una gran muestra de la comida de la tierra hermosa que es Colombia.
The service could not be better. The food was excellent. Looking forward to visit the restaurant again
Delicioso, la comida y la atención excelentes. El sitio, cómodo. Tiene uno la oportunidad de sentirse por un rato de vuelta. Unas sopitas serian el mejor complemento.
The best Colombian food in London. And unexpected cheap
Me parece super bueno, las porciones son bien generosas y el ambiente es muy agradable.
For that authentic Columbian cuisine this place is a must! Add it to your bucket list! It's a very welcoming place to eat delicious food. The ambience gives the "Good Vibes Only" factor only. The serving is massive and you'll be like "hmmmm nom nom nommm"
The staff are all very attentive and fast. Everything is delivered on the table piping hot. They allow birthday singers and oh what a glorious place to be at!!!
If only there was an option to add a 6th star, as Leno's & Carbon deserves it. This is the 3rd time I've eaten Colombian food in London, and I'm glad this restaurant was that 3rd time and now in London this place surely cannot be beaten for the cuisine.
From the outside this place seems small but is deceptively big, and as soon as you walk in you're no longer in London but Colombia. This place is an institution and should be a Colombian embacy with the amount of Colombians you'll find eating here, a testament to the food.
From the moment I picked up an Empanada seeing that golden crust with no oil residue, I knew what to expect. This was accompanied by yuca fingers and a beef arepa. The food here was amazing with every dish tasty and filling. Having the Patacón con Todo was an experience I'll never forget with the assortments of meats on the plate, accompanied by cheese and sauces particularly mentioning the pineapple sauce that is so good when you have something with some spice heat. Now to decide what to eat on my return!
I come from Miami, and I've been here in London for one month. I was missing my Colombian food, and I found this place, and it was awesome. The food quality was great; the chorizo seemed to be made at the restaurant. Everything was super flavorful. The only thing they could improve is the beans; they should use cargamanto beans for a bandeja paisa. The rest was great
Four of us had dinner here at this Colombian restaurant as part of our around the world meals in London. We started with a mix of empanadas and other starters which we shared. It was just enough as the main courses were very large. Two of us a fish dish in seafood topping complete with prawns, shrimps and mussels which was excellent while the others had chicken and a large portion of pork belly served with a huge dish of beans. They only had a limited choice of beers so we opted for the Colombian one. I finished off with a strawberry ice-cream. The bill came to about £40 each which was reasonable. Service was good and it's a nice airy place with plenty of room between tables.
We were looking for a place with authentic Colombian food and a comfortable seating area for a nice post meal chat, and we found it. We were received by a very friendly Spanish gentleman who instantly accommodated our need for a big table. From there it all got better. Ordered the "Patacon con todo" and a Guanabana (Soursop) juice, and it tasted like the ones I used to have in Latin America. Food was in generous portions, brought quickly to table and delivered with amazing service. Stayed for another juice and a coffee and a long chat, and we were not disturbed or asked to leave like most restaurants these days. Will be coming back for more dishes, and with more people next time. Greatly recommended.
Always great food and service.Havent been there a year and everything is the same as I remember.Amazing staff and great food :).
Food was amazing and the portions were really big. Would go back in the future.
Hidden small restaurant very close to Elephant and castle. The price / quality is good as the steaks are great and well cooked. The remaining food was average but still worth a try. Staff were very friendly.
I celebrated my bday here after not having been at this restaurant for years. Food was good, huge portions as usual. I felt it was a bit expensive but definitely worth the size. Most of the mains can actually be shared between 2 people. Staff was nice and friendly but most of the people only spoke Spanish (I speak Spanish so it was fine for me but ended up translating for the other guests).
If you drive, it might be challenging to find parking so check where to park before you make your journey.
I really recommend it for an authentic Colombian experience 😊
I went with my husband and daughter and felt as if we were transported to Colombia. The place had a great atmosphere, food portion was huge and every dish was delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating of each of our request. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful place. Very authentic place. The food was beautiful, I couldn’t believe how amazing the food taste. The portions are worth the money. The customer service is amazing, friendly lovely people. I really enjoyed my meal and time at this restaurant, will definitely make this a regular place for me. I paid for 2 people.
Amazing food, and big portions! Typically colombian
Very traditional Colombian place - affordable prices and massive portions. Everything tasted good and hearty. Recommend it!!!
Easily one of the best steaks I've had in london, and for a fraction of the price
I ordered the Filete de Carne Al carbon (£18) which came with 2 massive pieces of meat on one plate, and another plate of rice, salad and chips. I asked for medium rare and the steak was juicy and you can taste the smoke from the grill (and not burnt).
There was two sauces: a spicy sauce which was a bit too spicy for me, but the chimchurri sauce was out of this world! The rice is a perfect compliment and I mixed the meat sauces in it. Chips were unsalted and the salad didn't have much dressing but was good to make the meal not too heavy.
I went with a vegetarian and there aren't too many veggie options. They had a bandeja paisa vegetariana (red kidney bean stew, with rice, plantain, cassava, egg and avocado for £15). I tried a bit and it was OK - I don't think I'd be back for that.
I had the soursop smoothie with milk (you can choose a water version) and it was delicious! Definite must try, it smells like pineapple, flavour of strawberry and apple, and a creamy texture that's just like banana!
Staff was really friendly but there was only 2 attending to tables, so you might have to wait a bit for the service or bill. It can get a bit smoky (from the kitchen). There are two TVs there so you get an interesting insight into Colombian news, movies and ads!
As we were leaving I saw the table next to us get their order of Churrasco al carbón (£25.5) and a massive piece of meat on a sizzling pan came out. Definitely trying that next time with my meat lover friends!!
A great place to taste true Colombian dishes. This place was recommended to us by a Colombian friend as one of the best in London. I loved the food and the ambience. It was such a family friendly place, with lots to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant right under the train arches in Elephant&Castle.
Great food and service, really enjoyed coming here, will come again.
*Update*
Came here again and it was still delicious 😋
So much loved the food there and lovely people are serving the dishes too - very important! 😉 You must try the Colombian beer too, different taste from what we know, very nice. 🍻🍺
Nice & big portions and if you cannot eat it all, you can have it as a take away! 😋 🍛🍝
Lovely place to hang out nice atmosphere Massive potion worth the price.
Would recommend.
