Having heard high praises of their chicken tenders, we decided to give Mother Clucker a try. We got the halloumi fries, the chicken tenders and the fried chicken sandwich. The halloumi fries were tasty and well-battered, but they were a little too oily and I think they should be paired with a more vibrant/green sauce to balance the flavor. The sandwich was okay, but nothing extraordinary (I’ve had better sandwiches that were easier to eat). The chicken tenders were my favorite part of the meal; they were juicy, well-breaded, and flavorful (brined in tea and you can tell by how flavorful and cohesive each strip is). The spicy red sauce is delicious (some Indian spices give it a nice kick). You should definitely visit if you’re craving chicken tenders.
Really good food. Chicken strips (£5.50 for 3) were so soft and juicy. Burger (£6) was great tasting. Cajun fries (£3) were amazing, could eat five portions! Halloumi (£5 for 4) was too oily. Overall was really great, love the atmosphere in the shop. Seating arrangement isn't too great. Halal. Card payments only.
Very delicious and tasty foods. I always order a halloumi bun with 3 pieces of strips. Obviously they don’t offer the same price like others do but the proportions are bigger unlike others.
Chicken wings were soft and succulent which had so much flavour, (I got the hot wings) the cajun fries are cooked to perfection as they were crispy and and seasoned along with the lime mayo and chilli sauce which is a great combination to go with your fries and wings. Lastly the cluck bun (chicken fillet burger) was amazing, it was soft and easy to bite into along with the sauce giving it extra flavour to your taste buds.
Fried chicken...you can't go wrong! More of a fast-food takeaway vibe here rather than a sit-down restaurant. Price is standard for a street food vendor (around the £6-7 mark) and menu features the usual chicken burger, fries, and wings. Nice food but nothing outstanding.
Went to Mother Clucker and took my family and it really didn't disappoint. The chicken, fries and halloumi were all fantastic. The halloumi was almost better than the fried chicken! Service was quick, and they do 50% off on Mondays so even more affordable. Will definitely be going back to this unassuming shop.
Really good chicken, second time I've been here. The elder chef makes the chicken really really well. But over all both chefs were pretty good. Highly recommend the chicken bun, really juicy and tasty.
I brought my colleagues to this spot a few weeks back and it was great! The service we received from Lauren was A1 she was a really sweet young lady. The food was deliciously tasty, succulent and fresh and came in good time! Will be back :)
Many Thanks!
Dani
Fried chicken. Hot sauce. Chicken cottage and a jar of Red's will do s similar job, but there is marginally less grease here. If you can stomach the cost, you'll love the food.
Great fried chicken place, one of the more tastier places visited. Halal aswell which is great. Little bit on the expensive side but maybe it's normal for Londoners.
Very friendly staff and some of the best fried chicken in town. Although a bit of a rough diamond type place you can't go wrong by giving these guys a try.
A small, but undeniably yummy chicken shop. Casual atmosphere, music not too loud and a very straight forward service. Walk in, order, sit and eat or take it home
