Had the most amazing Confirmation party for my daughter at the Park Tavern. Kirsty and her team went above and beyond to look after us. Everyone had a great time, the service was brilliant and the food was amazing. I have no bother recommending this pub for a party or a lovely place to grab a beer and enjoy the garden.

🚇 Finsbury Park 🍺 £5.80 Moretti ❤️ A preserved oldschool locals pub in Finsbury Park. . The Park Tavern is located on Tollington Park just off busy Stroud Green Road. The nearest tube station is Finsbury Park which is a ten minute stroll away. . This Victorian pub was built mid 19th century and was remodelled by Charringtons in the 1930’s, it has had a external paint job in recent years to spruce the place up a bit. . The decor here is simple with some outstanding pieces of pub architecture and design. This is a traditional Saloon & Public two bar pub which is a rare find as many breweries and pubco’s smashed the B’jasus and gutted the innards of some beautiful pubs losing vital pieces of heritage. The stand out feature for me is the Charringtons back bar which is truly unique and hopefully this is maintained. . The beer choice here is simple, I had a pint of Moretti which was great and under six quid. . My visit here didn’t start to well, I bowled in the front door and straight in to wake that was going on in the front bar. My Rodders moment over, I proceeded to the back bar to grab a pint. I was served by a lovely lady behind the bar who was cheery and had a lovely manner, I pulled up a pew to sit down and take stock of this N4 boozer. . This is a locals pub which has a relaxed laid back feel. As the wake continued in the front bar, the back bar had the horse racing on, a true measure of being in an Irish pub. This pub also shows live footy matches in both bars. There was lots of coming and going between bars and pretty much everybody knew everybody else, a true community pub. . The Park Tavern was a fantastic visit for many reasons. The oldschool ambiance took me back thirty years when going to the pub was almost mandatory. The Charringtons back bar was a thing of beauty and should be listed. And finally, the community spirit and local pub feel here is what makes this pub great. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 23/09/22

Good spot. Quiet street and nice outside space in the summer heat. Good for watching sports and reasonable price for beers. Good Guinness. Friendly and prompt service.

Nice pub with friendly staff. Prices are OK for the area. The place doesn't do its own food but has a link up with a takeaway and allows customers to bring in their own grub. Toilets would benefit from an upgrade.

I enjoyed a nice pint of Guinness in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, albeit a Wednesday night. Two big screens playing football so might pop back to watch a game there in the future. The bar staff were friendly which made us feel comfortable as the only other set of customers. Might get busier at other times but this quiet little gem of a pub deserves a good review. Thank you for being welcoming to is and hope to see you again soon Park Tavern

About the only proper local pub that is one of a few remaining where Dennis has been the landlord for over 40 years and Christine his better half is always serving behind the bar. A well run pub which shows racing and sports through the day on 2 screens in the public bar and 2 in the saloon. It also has a nice concealed beer garden, outside seating, offering a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. Highly recommended with a warm and friendly atmosphere

Family run pub in North London. You could say last of a dying breed. If you want quiet drink this is your place. If you want sports (horses or footy) this is your place. If you want genuine local friendliness this is your place. Dennis and Christine who run the pub are lovely people who've done a LOT for community often with little gratitude. Nice old pub with lots of community.

Have used this pub for over 10 years now and have never had a bad time. The staff are friendly, the people are friendly and the landlord/lady are the best, I'm holding my 50th birthday drinks there and the landlady has made all the arrangements for me (which is one less thing for me to worry about.) Well done to Chrissy and Dennis. :)
