My husband and I love love love this place. We both love falafel. I have tried both their bowl & pita falafel. Both has very good quantities and it is our regular spot in London. They serve fresh falafel and it is quite filling.
Good place to get vegetarian. Ordered falafel and guacamole with brown pita bread. Really good! Quite big though, bowl would be better. Definitely recommend it to all vegetarians
It's been only one week and tried many places for my lunch and breakfast. Today I tried pita hard boiled egg falafel. Believe me it's so yummy and filling. Everything is perfect in this, Ingredients are balanced and you can taste flavour of each ingredients.falafel are very crunchy which increases taste of whole food. Must try place for veg and eggetarian.
Best place for vegetarian food.. falafel is delicious and served hot.. I would recommend their container with all salads and guacamole... must visit
Best place to have vegetarian food.
Falafels are fresh and cooked in-front of you.
They serve brown pita also.
Awesome service, friendly staff.
One of my favourite places in Spitalfields. The falafels here are freshly made and delicious! The service is nice and friendly. They have a really nice falafel container which has lots of salad and served with pita. The portions are huge and can easily fill one person. Overall, my all time favourite to satisfy some falafel craving!
In a time of expanding menus (and waistlines) for a place to buck the trend and serve only one item but decide to do it extremely well is uncommon to say the least. For this place to be solely vegetarian is unheard. But that's exactly what Pilpel are doing with their delicious little deep fried falafels which are arguably the best in London.
Those who know me will understand that for me to consume a fully vegetarian meal is difficult and rare - I love meat, A LOT - but Pilpel is the exception and judging from the constant queues for one of their falafel salads (with pita) or falafel pitas, I'm not alone.
Having now expanded from one location to now three (Spitafield Market, Brushfield St and St Paul's), Pilpel looks well on their way to spreading the love all around the city but don't be scared, embrace it. It's made a part-time vegetarian out of me.

I'm not a huge fan of vegetarian food, but after being (agreeably) forced into trying Pilpel for lunch, I have somewhat changed that stance. Pilpel offer falafels (deep-fried chickpeas) in either a salad box or pita bread, accompanied by salads for around 5pounds, and they are pretty good. The salads and sauces such as garlic and salsa in my opinion make the meal. Notwithstanding, the service is quick and help at hand to navigate through the creation of your meal. As an added bonus, given the long queues, you get to sample some falafel whilst you wait. Definitely worth a try for lunch, and a nice breakaway from the common eateries around the area.
This Falafel and Houmous bar is my favorite Friday lunch place. There can be long queues for the food. One wrap is quite filling and is ideal for Friday lunch. My favorite is Pilpel falafel - the falafels are very crunchy and served with salad and hummus. Definitely recommended as a take away fast food joint.
Undoubtedly the yummiest felafel in town. When they initially started about 1.5 years back, there used to be long queues. Hard to believe that selling only felafel & hummus somebody could attract as much crowd. The felafels are crunchy, well flavored and absolutely amazing. The accompanying salads fresh & crisp. But, the best part and their USP is the chilli sauce which comes along. The felafels can be had as the part of a salad bowl or stuffed in a pita which cones as both regular & wholemeal. Also, worth mentioning are the pickled chillies!
The perfect takeaway lunch for me!
Absolutely revelatory experience. First authentic falafel in London, the crunch on them took me right back š
Pilpel is just amazing, canāt go wrong with it! This location is just on the entrance of Spitalfields Market near the Colorful Standard store. Thereās another location with places to seat at Brushfield Street.
Most amazing kind and friendly staff!! They made my grandpas day! Food was great too!
