One of the longest street markets in London. Located on Walthamstow High Street, and right next to Walthamstow Central Tube Station and Walthamstow Central Bus Terminal. You can find fresh Fruit, Vegetables, and bargains on clothing, shoes, household goods and much more. There are multiple restaurants and fast food places to eat. The market is open every day of the week, but it is very busy on Tuesdays when most of the vendors are there.
A traditional street market with the majority of stallholders selling either fruit+veg, everyday household necessities, budget apparel and fabric.
A cosmopolitan zone catering primarily to a “local” clientele.
Here negotiate a gauntlet of traders where the testy retort, curt banter,bare-knuckle price and hard-bitten gesture holds sway.
Here be no instagrammable tourist hotspot with a “diversity” of faux ethnic street food.
Here, Gentrification came, saw ..........skulked, and buggered off.
This is where you can get really great quality clothes at a fraction of the price! Some are stocks from major high street labels but are off season. Highly recommended!
Many halal options. Longest outdoor market in Europe

A place where i lived for more then 30 years, the walthamstow market was very famous in Europe. It is most the busiest throughout the whole week except for Monday. It is a market with all your needs, you name it and I have got it. Most of the restaurants caters for halal food.
A great place to visit for locals and visitors alike - who want an experience off the tourist beat. The market is the longest market in Europe and hosts an array of different stalls - fresh food and veg, clothes, second hand items and street food. The place is extremely diverse, you can tell from the different food stalls along the market - from turkish cuisines, authentic asian food and jamaican. Saturdays are the main day for the market. There are local stores along the side of the market street - from Polish groceries/restaurants, turkish cafes, high street brands; the market also has an indoor Mall - with all the high street stores and a fast food restaurant area. Checkout our walking tour on our YouTube channel Geek Street Travels to get a first person perspective of the place and leave us your comments!
Great vegetable produce - the best place for shopping - lace, beautiful fabrics, exploring, meeting people plus hair and nail salons.

Great market a mile long. Lots of things to see and buy clothing, vegetables and fruits, handbags, jewellery, electrical things, phones, toys, sunglasses and much more...
This happened to be my gran's favourite street market and 50 years later I can see why. It reflects the needs of the local community and is the longest street market in London. Always famous for dress fabrics and accessories it has become even more cosmopolitan and global than I remember it in the 70s. It has something for most people, locals and visitors. If you want a true feel of a genuine London market this is the place. Great bus links and bus station close by.
You can buy fruit at very good price and umbrella as well if you compare the price with other big markers you can buy the same thing on almost half the price
