Absolutely wonderful food, with a cozy ambience and a lovely, caring host. I'm Australian and although I'm used to the flavours and spices in Nigerian cuisine (I'm married to one), the food was not too hot. It was delicious - probably the best I've had! One little thing, we waited a little while for the food to be served but all can be forgiven for a very busy, yet caring host who was apologising profusely.

When I walked into the restaurant I had realised I was in the wrong place, but I had received such a warm welcome by the owner so I stayed. I still had doubt as I do not know much about Nigerian food and was afraid to order and not like the food. The owner reassured me that her food is really nice so I decided to trust her and give it a try. I must say she was not wrong I ordered jellof rice and suya meat and I’m in love. Everything tasted really nice and fresh. I will defo recommend.

The lady was friendly. Very good food, though a bit more fried plantain would have been welcomed 🙂

I was craving assorted assorted meat peppersoup and I thought of no other place than Nikky’s! It was a hit! I ordered a portion of jollof rice and fish too which was very yummy 😋! Very affordable too. Would definitely recommend.

I got jollof rice with meat and plantain here and it was great. The meat stew was so flavourful you could eat the sauce on its own, the meat itself was satisfyingly tender and not dry, and the jollof was smoky and fresh. If I was in Canning Town again and in the mood for a hearty, (nicely) spicy dinner I'd come here without a second thought. Reasonable prices and friendly service too.

First time having Nigerian food. Really enjoyed the banter with the owners and with the Nigerian diners at the restaurant. Had some delicious food, tried some Nigerian beer, and had a really great night out overall. Would highly recommend!

Food is always tasty but Jollof rice, is like a plate of home made ❤️. The owner, Nikki, is always friendly.

I have walked past this place a few times and the vibe it has always attracted me. so I finally got the chance to enjoy this cocktail bar and the service, drinks & food couldn't have been better. Nikki's met all our expectations then did all they could to exceed them. looking forward to coming back. Free entry and the drinks are really good. Two for 1 until 8pm every day on cocktails and other drinks. Really cool interior for the bar and there is a downstairs club but you had to have a stamp to get in.

I love Nikkis food. Customer service could be improved , I rarely received 100% correct food as I ordered via phone calls 🤣but it’s ok, very tasty

I’ve been looking for a decent Nigerian restaurant for at least 10 years now. I can finally stop looking! Best African take away in East London!

This is a little gem! If you like Nigerian food then this is a great place to eat. Beautifully cooked, the plantain was crispy (not oily), yam porridge was delicious as was the very generous portion of beef in sauce. All the dishes you'd expect to find on the menu such as pepper soup, jollof rice and pounded yam to name a few. Together with a drink it was approximately £13. The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was cosy! If you've never tried Nigerian food, go there - it's the best I've tasted outside Nigeria 🤗
