The Cargo is a fun place to out with friends. It is typical of shoreditch. There is a big outdoor area for smokers but not only them. There are a lot of benches and pillows to lay down on. There are a few bars in the different rooms and each room has its own specific atmosphere. I like to go out in this place on saturday evenings. the entry is £10 but it is worth it. Be carful because it can take a lot of time to get your coat from the cloak room if you arrive when the club closes. The people are nice and the atmosphere is great.
Cargo is a top choice in Shoreditch. It gets this status from all its unique characteristics. Firstly, it is located underneath a brick bridge and looks very wharehousy trendy from the outside (the bricked theme is then clearly displayed inside and gives the club a lot of character, very fitting to the Shoreditch vibe). This really pleases the touristy crowds. Secondly, the place is in itself huge. It has a vast House Music dancing floor (with a couple of expensive VIP tables jotted around), a more relaxed room (more for drinking and chatting in larger groups as music less a focus, again very spacey), a second dancing room (again, another bar can be found here, music is often a bit more hip hopppy in this particular room) and finally a huge smoking area (extremely well done with alot of wooden seating, heaters, rain protection, etc.). Thirdly, the place is always packed and boasts a great atmosphere (partying young studenty crowds guaranteed). Finally, the music played is often spot on and well varied.
In terms of the food, i am unable to give you an opinion as I have never tasted it.
My advice: a bit touristy for my liking but definitely as place to visit if you have never been. This is becoming an institution of the east end and attracts vast crowds from all over the world.
Enjoy!
Good music and good vibes, nice to find somewhere in Shoreditch that isn't filled with white hipsters. The interior design is pretty nice as well. Just got a bit too packed towards the middle of the night.
Cool vibes, good music/DJs. Dance floor was popping
Lot of negative reviews here but we had a good time. We just happened to be walking by on a Tuesday and heard the party inside. It’s small but there was a fun crowd dancing inside to a great dj. We didn’t meet the minimum but the staff was kind enough to let us use our cards anyways because we didn’t have cash. The bartenders were really friendly.
BEST NIGHT EVER! I was scared of going after reading so many negative reviews, but I am so happy I went anyway. I booked a table for my birthday, when I got there the staff were all super friendly they showed me to my table with no problems. Just make sure to get there before 10pm if you've bought a ticket online as they won't be valid after that. The music was great, the staff were friendly and helpful.. definitely 10/10 night

One of my first choices in London for going out. The location is so cool and the music is great. I can´t tell why there are so many negative reviews. Every time I went there, it was amazing! Only at one point I agree is that it´s crowded and expensive if you try to enter the club after 11 pm. The best you can do is to go there early, so you neither have to queue nor to pay entrance. :D
