Fanny’s bar has quickly become one of my favourite places. From the moment I walked in there a few months ago and met the warm and welcoming staff, I knew this was my vibe and the kind of place I wanted to host my birthday. So much so I cancelled another venue so I could make it happen!
Reading some other reviews I couldn’t be more surprised at the bad experience some others mention. I can obviously only speak from my own but having hosted a group of around 70 people of mixed ages for my party, we had the best time. In fact I had multiple people message me afterwards to say how great the venue was and are now regulars!
Issac the manager couldn’t be more accommodating and went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great time, including calling me the day before to check what drinks we liked to make sure they were stocked up. They even let us bring our own food in at the start of the night and we had the space privately until around 9 when it opened to the general public. This was no problem for us and only added to the atmosphere and an amazing vibe all round.
I definitely wouldn’t let the bad reviews from one group put you off checking this place out. Judge for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!
Tucked away downstairs on a stretch of Stoke Newington High Street you might not typically associate with cocktail bars, this place is a hidden gem. Super friendly staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We ended up holding my boyfriends birthday party there a few weeks ago and had the best time! Everyone loved it. Great range of cocktails and and drinks in general and nice vibe all round. Added bonus of being below Fanny’s Kebabs if you get hungry you can always grab some tasty food. Definitely one to check out if you’re in the area!
Lovely intimate venue with fabulous cocktails and great food upstairs. The staff are very friendly and accommodate to the guests. This is the perfect place for a chilled cocktail night. Would definitely go again. 5****
Had my birthday party at both the restaurant and the the bar. The staff are beyond, so friendly. Jordan the chef makes the best lamb wrap, with a friendly welcome from the manager Ryan. Isaac manager of the bar friendliest and sweetest guy. Had the best time! Thanks for an all round awesome experience xx
Went there last week and it is a great little find in Stokey. The cocktails were great and the staff actually made our evening by suggesting new drinks for our group to try. Never going to have a typical G&T again! Give it a go and you will not be disappointed.
A great vibe, it’s a little hidden gem tucked away downstairs. Me and my friend happened to walk passed and we was very pleasantly surprised by the DJ, cocktails and good vibes. We went in only for one drink but then stayed there the whole night. Would deffo recommend, nice local spot
I attended an event here last month, I had a amazing time. The staff were very welcoming and the drinks are superb. We came back to book a surprise birthday party which the staff helped us plan immensely.
I was last here on 8th of December 2018 when the DJ group COLLECTIVE ELEMENTS were providing the sounds. They are amazing DJs. Each plays a different set yet their music links together seamlessly. I had an exceptional night. Check these guys out.
Fannys bar itself is a wonderful find. A basement bar that is very affordable with friendly bar staff and lots of space to lose yourself in the music.

Went on a girls cocktail evening and it was brilliant; the drinks were great and affordable, really nice staff and the DJ was sick! Top-notch night, would recommend.
My favourite bar in the Stokey area. Lovely staff, good drinks and great! Excellent events and DJs ranging from hip hop to house and techno throughout the week.

Great vibe comfy venue, lovely staff, delicious cocktails.. best new spot in stoke newington, would highly recommend, will be back again for sure!

This place is an absolute gem in Stoke Newington, really good cocktails nice relaxed atmosphere and polite professional service, highly recommended sinking 3 or 4 cocktails here!
