This is a small restaurant that is understandably cramped at busy times such as Saturday afternoons. The food and service though are first-rate. I had chickpea and coriander soup earlier today. It was delicious - one of the best servings of soup I have ever had in a restaurant. Yes, it really was that good!

Wonderful veg boxes delivered, always great selection, and friendly service. A truly local shop, serving the very best produce. We try to come for brunch every Saturday, it's a most pleasant ritual!

Love this place for sunday brunch : the menu never varies and quite limited but includes gorgeous eggs with sage and Mormouth coffee. It's also a sun trap with some seating outside. On the edge of Arnold circus also good for catching the sun!

With an interior that embodied a minimal country chic and brightly filled with natural light, Leila’s Shop hit all the right notes as a small charming neighbourhood cafe...

Nest stop was Leila's Foodstore. I had been here before and they sell a small but well-chosen selection of goods.

The same location a few centuries ago.

But one place we would religiously got to for brunch was the cafe next door Leila's Shop which had what I would deem as the most open kitchen in the world. They would literally be cooking your meal beside you and they did eggs in a skillet that would have WordMonkey coming back for more. Not many know of this place - and is best kept that way until our return.

The food is simply a cut above. The menu changes daily based on what is freshest, the flavour combinations and cooking are superb. Can the staff be a little frosty, as suggested in other reviews? Maybe if you're a shrinking violet ;-). Overall, a wonderful eating experience.

My favorite shop and lunch spot in town - such beautiful fruits and veg, wines, chocolate. My recent lunch of curry and greens over rice with a side of yogurt was so flavorful and served on beautiful vintage French plates with the best green salad. The dessert of strawberry elderflower panna cotta and jelly combo was truly a work of art. 10/10 highly recommend.

A gorgeous little store that feels like it belongs in some village in rural France, not London. Worth a visit for the selection of chocolate alone.

I cringe at people , who , upon encountering something different and special, they misunderstand it as a public space and when the place or the people (rarely the food in this case) don’t meet their expectations , egos get hurt and there go the one star reviews. Leila’s shop still follows Covid rules , and sells and serves delicious ingredients and food while adhering to the most incredible loyalty to their ethos of sustenance and sustainability. You won’t find a plastic cup or take away disposables and I think that is totally amazing and as a hospitality business myself, I take my hat off to Leila and her team. As for the food, just like food should be, delicious and nurturing, cooked in a wonderful kitchen without the suffering that most of this industry hides behind closed doors. Loved my lunch today! Thank you 😊

This place is fantastic. We stumbled across it by accident and it was like water appearing in the desert. You should go here!!! It’s so cozy and wonderful!! I will think of it for forever.

I was skeptical due to the reviews but the place is cute and the food was delicious. Only had one weird encounter with the waiter when we asked for some cheese to add to a dish and they just said no and walked away.. but was expected per the reviews. Other than that it’s a cute place and staff was nice besides that instance.

Simple, but great food. This is a no-frills local joint. Because it is small you may be directed to a table so they can use the space efficiently - understandable for a small business.

Grocery and cafe are both consistently stunning. If you get it you get it - its not for everyone.

Got my first tiffin, it was a white beans stew with pancetta and a salad. The service was great, the food is tasty and I love that you are using a system where you use less packaging. Tiffins are the low-tech solution to food packaging! No need to re-invent the wheel ;)

Thank you so much Leila & Anna for providing such wonderful eggs, bread and coffee! (picture of food purchased at the shop). Your shop is a marvel. I’m so pleased that you’re surviving in these difficult times. Very pleasant to discover new things, sourced by someone who is knowledgeable and cares. And that chocolate - I’m really pleased you’re not just round the corner 😉 I’m amused by the reviews suggesting that the staff are rude - perhaps you get back what you put in - or overly expensive - how can I put it... quality has it’s own economy? It seems to me that we’re so obsessed with choice and cheapness that we’ve lost touch with what it really costs not to mass produce.

Visited Leila's for the first time today, to meet a friend for lunch. We had the chickpea soup and a crispy pork neck stew with butter beans, both of which were great. The service was also very good – the plates came quickly and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Would recommend it.

As usual incredibly expensive for some goods and rarely displaying prices. They do stock some nice goods though. They deserve kudos for supplying dry goods loose and olive oils too in your own container. This cuts down on packaging waste. I'm upping my rating for their environmental ethos.
