Grab Thai is lovely place if you are looking for Thai food. I recommend their Thai curry and the Tom yum prawn noodles. Pad Thai from the menu is tasty as well.

The curry was warm well marinated, the coconut milk was creamy, hmmm the butternut squash melted in my mouth. They used free range chicken which wasn’t overcooked. There was plenty of meat and vegetables in the potion they gave me. The Thai tea had caramel sweet tones which I also loved. The curry

GRAB serves all of your standard Thai dishes including; Green and Red Curries, Pad Thai, Tom Yam soup and sweet treats like mango and sticky rice. But my absolute favorite dish is the newly introduced Massaman curry chicken, a richly flavored combination of Chicken and potatoes cooked in massaman curry paste with onions, carrots, peanuts and bay leaves, topped with fried shallots.

Just a few minutes away from Old Street tube station, down a small side street, is GRAB Thai Street Kitchen! GRAB opened its doors in the summer but it has taken me a few months to finally go visit! Fresh, tasty, authentic, quality Thai food is what GRAB is all about! The decor is based on creating a scene from the Bangkok markets! Big lightbulbs hanging from coloured wire from the ceiling and wooden tables with small plastic stools make up the casual dining area. Just inside the entrance are the open fridges, with boxes of salads, iced coffees and drinks. Next to this, is the unit with the tubes of hot food, all neatly labelled! As soon as we entered GRAB, we were welcomed by the friendly staff! They asked us if we had been here before or if it was our first time! After stating that we were newcomers, the staff explained that all the hot food was ready to go, except for the curries. For the curries, we just needed to choose the type of rice (white or brown jasmine) and then bring it t

Deliciously fresh take away Thai!

Had the most incredibly fresh and flavoursome rice paper rolls from here. Bursting with flavours of chilli and coriander and the chicken perfectly cooked and juicy!
The perfect easy, healthy lunch on the run.

The shop is clean and modern and the staff very friendly and efficient.
Well priced meal options and great value for your pound!!

Would definitely recommend!

The other day at work I was lamenting that even though we had a few decent options for lunch al-desko close to our office (Pret, Abokado, Itsu etc) sometimes you have a hankering for something a bit more substantial that isn't a burger or baguette.

I was hurriedly directed to GRAB, a thai cafe, modelled as the name suggests on a grab-and-go concept. A compact space with a funky, stripped back decor (exposed walls, arty lightbulbs and old-school benches) this place is very Shoreditch. Offering pots of noodles and curries to eat in or take away, alongside a selection of pretty dirty looking but tasty thai snacks, this could just become my favourite lunch spot.

I plumped for the chicken pad thai, priced at £5.50 for a pot - it's a huge portion and not a bad effort. Perhaps lacking a couple of squeezes of lime and a splash of fish sauce, but it was satisfying and good value. I'll definitely return to try a curry and rice pot.

I managed to buy a super cheap deal on Groupon for Grab Thai for £3.50 I could get a meal worth £8.25. Without hesitation I click and brought the vouchers, without printing anything the voucher was available via groupon iPhone app. Wooohooo!

Grab Thai, is open from the wee hours of 7:30 am to 7pm serving breakfast to dinners Mon-Fri. and from 12:30-8:30pm on a Saturday. When me and my friend arrived it was empty the furnishing is very modern with only two benches of tables to eat in. Most of the lunch was finished, but it was ok I was after the green chicken curry as I read good reviews from the internet. The voucher I had meant I could go large and includes a drink. For drinks I went for Thai tea, I’m not sure if you have gathered, but I’m a real tea person.

I went for brown jasmine rice and the chicken green curry; it was a choice I didn’t regret. You choose a pot out of the shelf and they pour the sauce on top.

The curry is very authentic and the price point is affordable and really fills you up. I couldn’t finish the large pot it was a shame because I really wanted to order the sweet sticky rice pudding for dessert.

Hi,
I've been to Thailand restaurants several times but with this restaurant, I discover a pretty authentic one. We had tom yum gai (chicken) and green chicken curry. It's obviously one of the best Thai restaurant in town, the perfect lunch spot.
They also make some delivery in a 'pot noodle'-type cardboard pot. Prices are a bit more than the website says: my curry was £7 as opposed to £6.25

I eat here every week and have done for over a year. One of the best lunches in the area. Fresh, tasty, good value. It's all about the butternut red curry, brown rice. I've not tried much else (didn't like the green curry, although I never like green curry generally). Tempted to try the congee one morning on the way to work. UPDATE - prices have crept up about 25% over a year or so. So docked a star. It's still great food and fairly affordable, but as the price has crept up there are numerous other good food options for similar money.

Perfect lunch place for Thais food lovers. It's so simple how it works, but very efficient. Just grab the pot from the shelf of whatever you like, hand it to the friendly staff at the counter and they'll do their magic to complete the order and serve some of the most delicious food in the area. Large pots are a great value for money. I often can't finish the whole pot and save some for later ;) Their fresh fruit juices are marvelous! The place is quite small and gets pretty busy at lunch times, but you don't have to wait too long for a space to become available.

Really tasty. I had the pepper and garlic beef. Just the right level of spice. Ready within 2 minutes. Some of the tastiest food I’ve had on the go and much better than the usual high street haunts. Some reviewers complain about portion size but I had plenty of beef in mine which felt good value for £7.50. Better than what you get and pay for in Wasabi! If I worked nearby I’d be in here all the time.

Not the cheapest place but then again where around Old Street is? The food is very good however but your definition of value for money will depend on what you buy. I tried one the small salad pots today, billed as grapefruit and prawn. It looked like 4 prawns until you open it and find they've been halved and the half of grapefruit that was quartered still had the pips in, which when covered in curry sauce look remarkably like the bits of peanut...until you bite into them! For £3.30 it's incredibly poor value, I just wasn't hungry enough for my usual chicken and rice which for £6.25 is way better value. In summary, go large or don't bother!

Awesome Thai place, me favourite lunch spot in Old Street. Highly recommend trying the Green curry, be warned it's got quite a kick to it, as all authentic Thai food should. Very fast service, order at the till and collect a couple of minutes later. Only wish they did a loyalty card, I'd have racked up a fair few freebies.

Been twice now and the curries have been incredible both times! Very rare to get a curry that is actually spicey, but this place certainly puts some kick in the pad prik! Slightly more expensive than your average lunch but definitely worth it for tasty food!

Best beef panang curry in London! Satisfied every single time. £6.50 for a big pot of curry and rice is not bad when the quality is as good as a meal in a proper restaurant and the curries taste better than some of the Thai restaurants in London I've been to. This has the spicy kick to it!

It's a very small place with a queue that reaches far past the door and into the way of the next building. The food was especially good, full of flavour, very well cooked and aromatic. I wish I could order more than one item as everyone's food looked great, will definitely have to come back and try more menu items

Super convenient and the food is excellent. The quality of the food is better than most restaurants with a similar business model. Restaurant is very clean and professionally run. I have to go there at least once a week to get their green chicken curry. It's fantastic.

GRAB is my absolute favourite lunch place in London! Very friendly staff, great food, funky decor :) Best Thai beef curry around with just the right amount of spiciness to be tasty but still make my nose run. I would recommend this more but I don't want too many people crowding it out and taking up the limited seats! (Jokes :)

Simple but delicious food; one of the few places in London that offers good congee for breakfast and lunch. The red curry is hot if you are into spicy food. Don't forget to save your stomach for some nice mango with stick rice as pudding.

It's been three days since my friends and I had lunch at GrabThai. PadThai noodles recommended by friends were perfect and well flavored. We also had PadKaprow chicken very popular and excellent. They gave us homemade lemonade for free. Friendly service. Highly recommended!
